Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a series of 17 internationally agreed development goals that aim to end poverty, protect the environment, and ensure that by 2030, all people can live in peace, prosperity, and harmony with the environment. This research aims to investigate the challenges faced in overcoming road damage in villages, as well as efforts that can be made to create sustainable solutions. It is also hoped that this research can provide a valuable contribution to addressing infrastructure problems at the local level and promoting positive transformation in village communities towards sustainable prosperity. This qualitative research uses descriptive methodology and data obtained through direct observation and data analysis in the form of a list of words. The people of Pandanarum Village find it difficult to access the road because there are several impassable points on the road, burdening the community with work and activities. Therefore, the Pandanarum Village Government has scheduled road asphalting, street lighting, and road drainage projects by village development which must be in line to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda to improve community welfare.

Abstract

This study investigates the usage of online academic writing tools and reference management software among postgraduate students in North-west Nigeria. A descriptive survey design was employed, with a sample of 420 doctoral students from four regional universities. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings reveal that Google Docs and Authorea are the most widely used online tools for academic writing and collaboration, followed by Overleaf and OneNote. Surprisingly, Microsoft Office 365 showed lower adoption rates. Regarding reference management software, Mendeley and Zotero emerged as the clear favourites, with EndNote and Citavi also showing significant usage. Statistical analysis indicated significant differences in the use of online tools for academic writing and collaboration and the types of reference management software used among postgraduate students. These differences could be attributed to individual preferences, institutional recommendations, or varying levels of technological literacy. The study contributes to understanding digital literacy and technology adoption in higher education in developing countries. It provides valuable insights for educational institutions, policymakers, and software developers to support postgraduate students' academic endeavours. Recommendations include implementing digital literacy programs and developing standardized sets of recommended tools to enhance research productivity and collaboration among doctoral students in North-west Nigeria.

Abstract

This research focuses on the role of technology in detecting and supporting the recovery of victims of human trafficking. In a global context, human trafficking is a complex and hidden crime, which is often difficult for authorities to tackle. Technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and facial recognition, is increasingly relied upon to identify victims and improve response speed in the recovery process. This study uses a qualitative research design with a case study approach to explore how technology is applied by law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The main data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from various sources who were directly involved in efforts to utilize technology in combating human trafficking. The results show that technology, despite its challenges in terms of implementation and sustainability, has proven to be effective in raising public awareness, speeding up the detection process, and supporting victim recovery through the provision of safe and accessible services. The implications of this study show that the integration of technology can strengthen prevention and rehabilitation efforts in dealing with human trafficking, while empowering the community to play a more active role in reporting such incidents. With ever-evolving technological advancements, opportunities to eradicate human trafficking are increasingly open, providing hope for previously neglected victims.

Abstract

The spiritual leadership of Hasyim Asy'ari plays an important role in overcoming intolerance, radicalism, and hate speech through moderation (wasathiyah), interfaith dialogue, and strengthening national values such as hubbul wathan minal iman. His leadership transforms conflict into harmony and tolerance by instilling altruistic love and solidarity. This study aims to explain the multicultural spiritual leadership model that combines spiritual values such as faith, altruistic love, and moderation with a multicultural approach that respects religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity. Hasyim Asy'ari's leadership is implemented through the Nahdlatul Ulama organization and Islamic boarding schools, strengthening national unity amid Indonesia's diversity. This study uses a qualitative approach, and the type taken combines phenomenology and literature. Literature studies are focused on studying the thoughts and roles of related figures, while interviews are conducted with lecturers and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung students. Data are analyzed by filtering important information, coding themes to identify patterns, categorizing based on key dimensions, and synthesizing to find relationships and conclusions. Validation was conducted by cross-checking sources to ensure consistency and avoid bias. The findings show that Hasyim Asy'ari's leadership, shaped by his educational background in Mecca and socio-historical context, created a moderate multicultural leadership model that is still relevant today. This model emphasizes the integration of moral and spiritual values in creating an inclusive society and contributes to the world of education by shaping learning ethics, teacher ethics, and scientific ethics. The originality of this study lies in the analysis of Hasyim Asy'ari's leadership from the perspective of multiculturalism and moral education, which are still rarely studied in depth. However, this study has limitations because it uses a library approach that limits direct empirical data and focuses on the historical context of Indonesia, making it difficult to generalize to other regions.

Abstract

The phenomenon of adolescent moral decline in the midst of globalization and digitalization poses a significant challenge for Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, particularly tahfidz-based madrasahs. This condition demands the presence of strong Islamic leadership that not only manages administratively but also inspires and nurtures a religious culture within the school environment. This study aims to explore the implementation of Islamic leadership in realizing a religious school culture at Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Al Qur'an Al Islami, Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as documentation analysis of religious programs and institutional policies. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Triangulation and credibility checks were employed to ensure data validity. The results of this study indicate that the religious school culture at Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Al Qur'an Al Islami is strongly shaped through worship habit programs, the principle of deliberation in leadership, and the internalization of Qur'anic values in the curriculum and daily activities. Theoretically, these findings reinforce organizational culture theory and transformational leadership theory, which emphasize the importance of consistency in values, role modeling, and collective participation in shaping individual character. This study also affirms the concept of hidden curriculum and continuous spiritual values-based character education.

Abstract

This research examines digital transformation strategies for implementing halal management in the MSME industry in Pakistan. The main problem in this research is the low level of adoption of digital technology in the halal MSME sector, which is caused by limited resources, low digital literacy, and a lack of regulations that support digitalization. This research analyzes strategies halal MSMEs can implement to utilize digital technology to increase business efficiency, expand market access, and ensure compliance with halal standards. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis from various sources, including MSMEs, halal certification institutions, and digital economy experts. Analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that digital transformation can increase the competitiveness of halal MSMEs through the adoption of e-commerce, social media-based marketing, and Sharia-based digital payment systems. However, challenges in implementing technology are still significant, especially in regulation and digital literacy. Therefore, synergy is needed between the government, academia, and the private sector to create a business environment that supports the digital transformation of halal MSMEs in Pakistan.

Abstract

Digital learning integration in higher education is a crucial approach to support the attainment of SDG 4, which aims to provide inclusive and fair quality education for everyone. This research aims to evaluate the influence of digital learning programs on the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal 4 in higher education institutions in Pakistan. Implementing a mixed-methods research approach, the study included a comprehensive survey of 384 individuals, including students, teachers, and administrators from various institutions. Additionally, semi-structured interviews were performed with relevant stakeholders. For quantitative analysis, the sample size was determined using Cochran's method. The results demonstrate a strong and positive correlation between digital learning programs and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4. The regression analysis produced an F-value of 15.47 and a p-value of less than 0.001. Analysis of descriptive data reveals that the average efficacy of digital learning is 3.8 out of 5 points, with significant variations between urban and rural institutions (ANOVA, F = 23.72, p < 0.001). A thematic analysis of qualitative data reveals significant obstacles, such as infrastructure and digital literacy deficiencies, and emphasises the need for institutional preparedness and legislative backing. The research findings indicate that while digital learning benefits the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal 4, specific measures are necessary to tackle the digital literacy gap and improve the quality of digital education. The implications of these results are of great importance for policymakers and educators in their efforts to advance fair access and excellence in higher education by using digital learning methodologies.
