Abstract

Saat ini pendidikan maupun teknologi berkembang pesat dalam tenggang waktu yang sangat cepat. Era 4.0, yaitu zaman dimana kondisi yang serba terbuka tanpa mengenal batasan jarak dan waktu serta semakin mudah dalam mengakses informasi. Sarana dan prasarana di sekolah pada era industri 4.0 juga semakin canggih dan beragam. Tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai bisa mengefektifkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang saat ini berjalan di lembaga pendidikan dan sekolah. Dengan majunya teknologi sekarang ini, diharapkan mampu memperbaiki tenaga manusia di Indonesia menjadi tenaga manusia yang memiliki kualitas tinggi. Tenaga manusia Indonesia yang memiliki kualitas tinggi adalah kekayaan negara dan bangsa untuk mewujudkan pembangunan yang berskala nasional di berbagai aspek dan untuk mengimbangi maupun menyelesaikan hal-hal yang menantang dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat di era serba teknologi ini menghadapi tantangan kehidupan masyarakat dalam era serba teknologi ini.

Abstract

Corruption has become a serious problem in Indonesia and the prevention of corruption needs to be done from an early age. One effort that can be taken is to conduct socialization on corruption prevention through problem-based learning methods at TK Al-Kawanad. This method can help children understand the dangers of corruption and how to prevent it through direct experience in solving corruption problems. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of problem-based learning methods in socializing corruption prevention at TK Al-Kawanad. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that problem-based learning methods are effective in improving children's understanding of the importance of corruption prevention and how to prevent it. In addition, children are also more motivated and involved in learning through this method. This study is expected to provide a positive contribution in efforts to prevent corruption in Indonesia through character education from an early age.

Abstract

This report discusses the dedication to strengthening literary material for Indonesian Language Education lecturers at FKIP Bumi Persada University. The aim of his service is to increase the understanding and competence of lecturers in teaching and studying Indonesian literature. The initial needs analysis involves surveys and interviews to identify faculty shortages and challenges. The program includes seminars, group discussions, and teaching practice. The results show an increase in lecturers' understanding and competence, enabling the application of more varied teaching methods and more in-depth analysis of literary works. This program provides significant reinforcement of literary material, with a positive impact on teaching and student learning in the field of Indonesian literature. The success of this activity is measured from the process and results of the training. The success of the process is measured by observing several aspects of attitude, such as activeness, cooperation and responsibility. Performance assessment is carried out when participants in groups discuss the results of developing their literary material. Evaluation of activity results is measured based on mastery of training material which includes the results of independent practice, namely compiling Indonesian language literary material.

Abstract

Improving Language and Literature Research Materials for Indonesian Language Lecturers at FKIP Almuslim University is a collaborative effort carried out by lecturers at the Language and Literature Study Program, FKIP Unsyiah, with their colleagues at FKIP Almuslim. The aim of this community service is to enrich understanding and research skills in the field of Indonesian language and literature among lecturers. Through a series of activities, including workshops, training and interactive discussions, Unsyiah lecturers share experiences, methods and resources to increase the research capacity of Indonesian language lecturers at FKIP Almuslim. It is hoped that this collaboration will make a positive contribution in improving the quality of research and teaching of Indonesian language and literature in the academic environment of FKIP Almuslim University.

Abstract

Community service aims to enhance the substance of research in the field of language and literature for Indonesian language lecturers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Jabal Ghafur University. The project is implemented by involving lecturers as change agents leading community engagement activities and engaging the local community. Strategic steps include enhancing the research capacity of lecturers, providing training, and developing educational and literacy programs in the community. Through training sessions and workshops, Indonesian language lecturers are empowered to adopt innovative research methods relevant to the developments in language and literature. Additionally, they actively participate in initiating literacy and language programs that directly benefit the local community, such as writing workshops, language lectures, and creative literacy activities. The results of this community engagement show a significant improvement in the quality of research and literacy activities among Indonesian language lecturers. Lecturers are able to integrate their research findings into curriculum development and teaching materials, thereby positively impacting student learning. Furthermore, community literacy activities contribute significantly to enhancing understanding and appreciation of language and literature at the community level. This community service not only enhances the competence of lecturers but also encourages the transfer of knowledge and skills to the community. The project can serve as a model for the development of similar activities in various communities, providing sustainable benefits in enhancing the substance of language and literature research at the local level.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the use of Crossword Puzzles can increase Vocabulary of SMP Alkhairaat Tandaigi. This is research using a quasi-experimental research design. In selecting the sample, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique. The research samples were class VIII A as an experimental group and class VIII B as a control group. The instrument of data collection was divided into a pretest and a posttest. The data gathered were analyzed statistically. The results of the data analysis show that the mean score of both tests where the mean score of the experimental group improved from 63.93 to 73.33, and the control group's mean score improved from 63.17 to 68.56. The result showed that the value of t-counted (2.176) was greater than the value of the t-table (1.683) by applying a 0.05 level of significance and the degree of freedom (df) 22+21-2= 41. It could be concluded that the research hypothesis is accepted. In other words, Crossword Puzzles could increase vocabulary of grade VIII students at SMP Alkhairaat Tandaigi.

Abstract

Poros adalah komponen mesin yang berfungsi untuk menopang elemen elemen yang lain baik itu elemen transmisi maupun bodi dari mesin itu sendiri. Sehingga poros dikatakan sebagai komponen vital dari satu mesin. Poros dari segi beban dibagi dua yaitu poros transmissi dan poros gandar, dimana poros transmissi adalah poros yang selain mengalami beban lentur akibat bobotnya sendiri serta bobot dari elemen elemen transmissi yang melekat pada poros itu sendiri, juga mengalami beban puntir akibat beban dari daya yang akan ditransmisikan poros ini berputar. Akibat beban lentur yang berlebihan akan mengakibatkan poros yang ditumpu pada kedua ujungnya menjadi melendut (berdefleksi). Defleksi ini akan menyebabkan geometri atau posisi komponen yang lain terhadap yang lainnya akan berubah. Perubahan posisi ini dapat dipastikan mempengaruhi kinerja mesin dan pengaruhnya akan semakin besar jika defleksi atau lendutan itu semakin besar juga. Untuk menghindari pengaruh yang besar diperlukan analisa mengenai jarak tumpuan dari beban yang mengakibatkan defleksi. Penelitian ini menganalisa pengaruh defleksi terhadap besarnya nilai modulus elastisitas (modulus Young) pada poros gandar pada titik eksentris. Dengan menggunakan bahan uji dari besi pejal baja ST 42 berdiameter 16 mm. Dari hasil pengujian poros atau batang pejal yang mendapat beban eksentris akan menurun nilai modulus elastisitasnya jika mendapat beban yang mengakibtkan poros mengalami defleksi. Semakin besar defleksi yang terjadi maka nilai modulus elastisitasnya semakin berkurang.

Abstract

The treating stage in a Catalytic Reforming Unit (CRU) is a critical process to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the reforming catalyst. However, anomalies like sudden and significant increases in reactor pressure drop, as observed in this case, can disrupt operations and reduce the unit's overall performance. It is crucial to identify the root cause of the observed pressure drop anomaly using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method to systematically investigate the issue from multiple perspectives, enabling the identification of both minor and significant contributing factors. The FTA results indicate that external debris introduced during a recent catalyst changeover (COC) activity is the most likely cause. This allegation is supported by the analysis of equipment operation data and feed condition records, which did not reveal any significant changes. Given the absence of internal factors, the external influence of the COC activity emerges as the primary explanation for the pressure drop increase. To prevent similar occurrences in the future, it is crucial to implement rigorous cleaning and inspection procedures during turn-around (TA) activities to minimize the risk of debris entering the system. Monitoring reactor pressure drop and feed quality can also help detect and address potential issues early on. By taking proactive measures, the reliability and efficiency of the treating stage can be maintained, ultimately improving the overall performance of the CRU.

Abstract

The position of English in Indonesia as a foreign language requires teachers to be more creative in using the right approach in teaching EFL classes. One approach teachers widely apply is the CTL approach because it is considered by them to combine the four skills in English, namely listening, speaking, and reading. and writing. However, the application of the CLT approach depends more or less on the character of the class being taught and is influenced by several factors, including the geographical location of an area where Sebatik Island is geographically located on the border of Indonesia and Malaysia. It makes the application of the CLT approach may be different from other areas find borders with other countries. This research aims to qualitatively describe the implementation of the CLT approach in the classroom by English teachers on Sebatik Island and the challenges they face in implementing it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection methods were collected through observation, interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and triangulation involving four respondents from several junior high schools on Sebatik Island. The data collected was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model consisting of three activity streams that co-occurred: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the data analysis using the model, the geographical location of Sebatik Island, which directly borders Malaysia, positively contributes to students' communication skills. However, the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach by teachers on Sebatik Island is not free from several challenges, namely the lack of understanding among some teachers regarding the importance of this approach in learning English, the provision of supporting facilities, support from various parties including school principals and Government Agencies Education, as well as the political dynamics in the regions, which tend to be unproductive in developing teacher competency.

Abstract

Penurunan motivasi santri dalam menghafal Al-Qur’an merupakan tantangan dalam pendidikan keislaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji model komunikasi pengasuh dalam membangun motivasi tahfidz santri di Rumah Qur’an Madani, Kota Parepare, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas komunikasi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus, yang melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, dengan teori Interaksionisme Simbolik sebagai landasan teoretis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model komunikasi yang diterapkan pengasuh meliputi komunikasi simbolik-religius melalui bahasa Qur’ani, isyarat tubuh bermakna, dan tindakan motivasional berbasis nilai spiritual. Komunikasi ini diterima oleh santri sebagai simbol kasih sayang dan dukungan spiritual yang meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik mereka dalam menghafal Al-Qur’an. Faktor-faktor penunjang efektivitas komunikasi meliputi empati pengasuh, kesesuaian simbol religius dengan kondisi psikologis santri, serta lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Hambatan komunikasi lebih banyak muncul dari perbedaan latar belakang dan kondisi psikologis santri. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang peran komunikasi simbolik dalam pembinaan religius berbasis afeksi, yang bermanfaat bagi pengelola lembaga tahfidz, pendidik Islam, dan pengasuh dalam mengembangkan pendekatan komunikasi yang lebih humanis.
