Abstract

This research discusses the concepts of i’rab and ‘amil in Arabic grammar and examines the methodological differences between the Basra and Kufa schools as the two primary streams in the construction of nahwu (syntax). I’rab is understood as the changes in the vowels at the end of words influenced by the presence of an ‘amil (governor) and the word's position within the sentence structure, thus playing a vital role in preserving meaning and syntactic order in the Arabic language. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research method, tracing primary sources from the works of classical scholars and secondary sources from modern studies. Data analysis was conducted using content and comparative analysis methods to identify the epistemological characteristics of both schools. The results of the study show that the Basra school is prescriptive, rational, and selective regarding linguistic sources, whereas the Kufa school is more descriptive, flexible, and open to various speech patterns, including those considered syadz (irregular). These differing approaches impact how both schools understand and formulate the rules of i’rab and ‘amil. This study concludes that both schools provided distinct yet complementary contributions to the development of Arabic nahwu, where Basra played a role in theoretical standardization and Kufa contributed to the preservation of linguistic reality. These findings emphasize that the understanding of i’rab is not only related to grammatical aspects but is also supported by historical and epistemological perspectives within the scientific tradition of the Arabic language.

Abstract

Traditional Arabic linguistic studies often fall into a dichotomy that separates Nahwu (syntax) and Sharf (morphology), causing learners to lose the functional orientation of the language. This research aims to formulate a new direction in Arabic morphosyntactic studies through the integration of classical theory, modern linguistics, and pedagogical applications. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach with a library research method, data were analyzed comparatively and integratively from various reputable scientific literatures. The research results show that the integration of Al-Jurjani's Nazhm theory with systemic functional and generative-transformational linguistic perspectives is capable of providing a more logical explanation of Arabic language structures. Furthermore, digitalization through corpus analysis and computational linguistics enables empirical mapping of language patterns to support AI development. Pedagogically, the implementation of an integrative approach that unites the teaching of Nahwu and Sharf, alongside the utilization of data-based media, has proven to be more effective in enhancing students' communicative skills compared to conventional methods. This research concludes that strengthening morphosyntactic studies is a crucial step in modernizing Arabic language learning in the global era.

Abstract

Kajian relasi antara bentuk (al-mabāni) dan makna (al-ma‘āni) merupakan aspek fundamental dalam linguistik Arab yang menegaskan keterpaduan antara sistem morfologi (al-ṣarf) dan semantik (al-dalālah). Dalam bahasa Arab, setiap perubahan bentuk kata tidak hanya merepresentasikan variasi gramatikal, tetapi juga mengandung implikasi makna yang sistematis dan bermakna. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara komprehensif hubungan antara bentuk ṣarfiyyah dan makna semantis melalui pendekatan morfosintaksis, dengan menelaah keterkaitan antara struktur morfologis dan fungsi sintaktis dalam pembentukan makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif–kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan dengan mengkaji karya-karya linguistik klasik, seperti Al-Kitāb karya Sibawaih dan Al-Khaṣā’iṣ karya Ibn Jinnī, serta membandingkannya dengan perspektif linguistik modern. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa dalam bahasa Arab, bentuk berfungsi sebagai wadah makna (al-mabnā qālib al-ma‘nā), di mana perubahan huruf, pola wazan, dan struktur derivatif senantiasa membawa konsekuensi semantis yang jelas dan teratur. Relasi antara bentuk dan makna bersifat non-arbitrer serta mengikuti kaidah linguistik yang logis. Dengan demikian, pemahaman terhadap konsep al-mabāni wa al-ma‘āni menjadi landasan penting dalam studi morfosintaksis Arab dan memiliki relevansi aplikatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab modern, khususnya dalam penguatan analisis gramatikal dan semantik..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan dan fungsi al uslub al- insya’i dan al-uslub al-khabari dalam bahasa arab melalui pendekatan sintaksis dan pragmatik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research).Data dikumpulkan melalui penelaahan literatur berupa kitab nahwu dan balaghah Arab, buku linguistik modern, serta artikel ilmiah yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara sintaksis, al-khabarī dibentuk melalui jumlah ismiyyah dan jumlah fi‘liyyah yang berfungsi menyampaikan informasi yang dapat diuji kebenarannya, sedangkan al-insyā’ī direalisasikan melalui struktur khusus seperti fi‘il amr, fi‘il muḍāri‘ majzūm dengan lā an-nāhiyah, serta adawāt al-istifhām dan nidā’. Dari sisi pragmatik, makna kedua jenis kalimat tersebut tidak selalu bersifat literal, melainkan sangat dipengaruhi oleh konteks tutur, tujuan komunikasi, dan relasi sosial antara penutur dan mitra tutur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengintegrasian analisis sintaksis dan pragmatik sangat penting untuk memahami fungsi dan makna kalimat bahasa Arab secara komprehensif, baik dalam konteks akademik, pendidikan, maupun teks keagamaan.

Abstract

Kajian ini membahas keterkaitan antara taṣrīf (morfologi), i‘rāb (sintaksis), dan isytiqāq (derivasi makna) dalam sistem bahasa Arab. Ketiga unsur ini saling berhubungan dalam membentuk struktur, fungsi, dan makna kata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis berbagai contoh kata dan kalimat dalam bahasa Arab. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa taṣrīf menjelaskan bentuk kata dan perubahannya, i‘rāb menunjukkan fungsi kata dalam kalimat, sedangkan isytiqāq menjelaskan makna asal dan turunannya. Pemahaman terhadap hubungan ketiganya penting untuk memperdalam analisis linguistik Arab dan meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of subrogation rights in marine cargo insurance contracts in Indonesia, with an emphasis on the balance of legal responsibilities in subrogation practices. Subrogation rights, which allow the insurer to assume the legal position of the insured after claim payment, often face issues of unequal legal protection, particularly in cases involving third parties. This study employs a normative juridical method, using a statutory approach and case study analysis of court decisions. Findings indicate a lack of clear regulations and mechanisms ensuring a balance in legal responsibilities related to subrogation rights. Therefore, a reconstruction of contractual norms and regulatory frameworks is needed to guarantee proportional legal protection for all parties involved. The state holds a crucial role that must be optimized through the formulation of legal norms and regulations to ensure subrogation rights are exercised proportionally

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dengan judul "Penguatan Motivasi Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan melalui Sosialisasi Rekognisi Pembelajaran Lampau (RPL) telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 September 2025 di Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman, Desa Sungai Arah, Kecamatan Kempas. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi guru serta tenaga kependidikan terhadap program RPL sebagai jalur pengembangan karier akademik. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan sesi tanya jawab dengan melibatkan 23 peserta dari target 25 peserta (tingkat kehadiran 92%). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang RPL sebesar 70.5% (dari 14.25% menjadi 84.75%), dengan 78.3% peserta menyatakan tertarik untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut dan 34.8% berminat mendaftar program RPL. Evaluasi menunjukkan 95% peserta menyatakan materi sangat bermanfaat dan 92% puas dengan keseluruhan kegiatan. Kegiatan ini berhasil membangun kerja sama berkelanjutan antara Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP UNISI dengan Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman untuk pengembangan SDM pendidikan

Abstract

This study was motivated by the suboptimal delivery of reproductive and sexual health material in premarital counseling at the Tanete Riattang Timur District KUA, even though the lack of understanding among prospective brides and grooms often contributes to domestic conflicts and divorce. The main questions of this study are what role the penghulu (religious official) plays in reproductive and sexual health education for prospective brides and grooms and how this role is analyzed from the perspective of Islamic Family Law. This study uses a qualitative method with a field research design through a normative juridical, empirical juridical, normative theological, and legal sociological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the penghulu has carried out an educational function through marriage guidance, counseling, and facilitation of cross-sector cooperation, but the delivery of reproductive and sexual health material is still limited due to constraints in competence, time, and technical support. Analysis using the maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah theory confirms that the role of the penghulu is in line with efforts to protect life, offspring, and religion, so that this education has a strategic role in ensuring the physical and mental readiness of prospective brides and grooms and preventing domestic disharmony.

Abstract

Language plays a strategic role in shaping individual identity, particularly within the context of higher education. The use of english in universities functions not only as a medium of academic communication but also as a significant factor influencing students’ cultural and academic identity contruction. This study aims to examine the relationship between language, culture, and student udentity at universitas muhammadiyah bone, with a specific focus on english language practices. Employing a qualitative approach with a narrative analysis design, data were collected through in depth interviews with eight students who actively use english in academic settings. The findings reveal that english contributes to the formation of the students’ academic identities as globally oriented individuals, enhances academis self confidences, and serves as a spce for negotiating local identity, islamic values, and global academic demands. This study recommens that english language instruction in higher education be oriented toward fostering cultural awareness and strengthening student identity.

Abstract

To face the swift flow of the times there needs to be a lot of effort in creating a generation of qur'ani through the activities of reading and writing the Qur'an one of them. The implementation of this research was carried out at MTs Nizhamiyah Ploso Jombang, using Qualitative research methods by obtaining data from sources of interviews of related parties and documentation. The purpose of the study was to determine the strategy of MTs Nizhamiyah Ploso in trying to create a generation of qur'ani through the activities of reading and writing the Qur'an. qur'ani generation is formed through a qur'an-based education In the implementation of reading and writing the Qur'an at MTs Nizhamiyah Ploso Jombang using the Tilawati Method and its implementation in the morning before the KBM starts, which has a noble goal of making students able to read the Qur'an, memorise and of course practice the teachings that are in it.
