Abstract

Fracture is defined as a broken bone caused by trauma or physical force, and can occur due to excessive pressure compared to the bone's ability to withstand pressure. Injuries due to accidents in the school environment generally occur in the musculoskeletal system and must be treated quickly and appropriately. If not, it will cause more severe injuries and can trigger bleeding. To prevent injury to the musculoskeletal system, splint bandages are needed through Education. The purpose of this Community Service is to Assist and Improve Students' Knowledge About Bone Fractures with Simulation and as a learning that can determine the level of success of students in carrying out cardiopulmonary respiratory training in improving knowledge and skills. The health education method on fracture handling simulations so that students are able to make efforts to prevent disability and complications due to fractures and enable students to carry out initial examinations and initial treatment for fracture victims. The results of this activity received a good response from students as the target of community service activities. The conclusion that the implementation of community service followed by students showed an increase from sufficient knowledge to good knowledge. However, there needs to be monitoring and providing other materials so that it can motivate students to be more active and know about emergency handling.

Abstract

The spread and abuse of narcotics is a complex problem, which requires comprehensive mitigation efforts involving multidisciplinary, multisectoral cooperation and active community participation carried out continuously, consistently and consistently. Even though in medical science, most classes of narcotics are still useful for treatment, if they are misused or used not according to medical indications or treatment standards, especially if accompanied by illegal distribution, it will have very detrimental consequences for individuals and society at large. The cumulative number of AIDs cases in Indonesia in the second quarter of 2010 was 21,770 cases. The spread of HIV/AIDS among Injection Drug Use/IDUs has reached 8,795 cases. Methadone substitution therapy needs to be carried out with the aim of reducing adverse health, social and economic impacts, reducing the risk of contracting and transmitting HIV to other people, however therapy failure often occurs due to non-compliance or poor adherence. The research is observational with a cross sectional approach. Data were collected using questionnaires through interviews with informants following the therapy program. The results of the study showed good compliance in following therapy. Factors related to compliance in therapy are knowledge, attitudes, motivation, self-efficacy, family role, peer role, and health worker role. Multivariate analysis of multiple Logistic Regression, the most influential factors are motivation and the role of peers.

Abstract

Tongue cleaning is a simple and quick procedure that helps remove organisms and debris on the tongue. Tongue cleaning can be done using a tongue scraper. This research was conducted to determine the correlation between the OHI-S index and tongue coating, and to explain knowledge regarding tongue hygiene and tongue scrapers in children at the Sejati Muhammadiyah Rappang Orphanage. The research subjects were children from the Sejati Muhammadiyah Rappang Orphanage who were on site at the time of the research and were willing to follow the research procedures. Dental hygiene is assessed by the OHI-S index and tongue examination is based on the tongue coating index. A total of 24 men and 16 women were given questionnaires before and after counseling. The results showed there was no significant relationship between the two indices (p=0.382). The distribution of questionnaire answers shows an increase in correct answers after providing counseling. However, based on education level and gender, there was no significant difference in knowledge regarding tongue hygiene and tongue scrapers (p=0.858, p=0.486). Non-significant differences were also seen in the comparison of groups that used and did not use a tongue scraper. It was concluded that there was no significant correlation between the OHI-S index and tongue coating. However, providing counseling was able to increase the knowledge of children at the Sejati Muhammadiyah Rappang Orphanage, although there was no difference in knowledge regarding tongue hygiene and tongue scrapers based on education level and gender.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition in which the frequency of bowel movements becomes abnormal, which is usually 1 x a day, to more than 3 x a day with a liquid stool consistency and usually accompanied by mucus and blood. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of toddlers with acute diarrhea at the Antang Health Center. This type of research is descriptive research using a cross-sectional approach, the results of which are only an illustration. Statistical analysis was conducted to describe the characteristics of each patient using descriptive frequency test. The results of the study prove that exclusive breastfeeding contains antibodies needed to defend against pathogens in toddlers suffering from acute diarrhea at the Antang Health Center, the majority of whom are female, aged 1-2 years, have a history of exclusive breastfeeding, with a last education of junior high school and low family income. It is hoped that this study will be a source of information for the local Health Office and Health Center to reduce the incidence of acute diarrhea.

Abstract

Aedes aegypti is a mosquito that can act as a vector for dengue fever. Aedes aegypti prefers stagnant water in a container, not stagnant water on the ground. Potential breeding places are water reservoirs used for daily needs such as drums, bathtubs, toilet bowls, jars, buckets and others. The purpose of this study was to determine what factors are related to the presence of aedes aegypti mosquito larvae in the Nusa Harapan Permai complex. This research method is explanatory research with a cross-sectional study with a random sampling technique, so that the number of samples is obtained. The instruments in this study were questionnaires and checklists using univariate and bivariate data analysis. From the research results, it was found that there is a relationship between the implementation of mosquito nest eradication (PSN) , there is a relationship between TPA, there is a relationship between the existence of solid waste and the existence of larvae and there is no relationship between the frequency of mosquito larvae visits and the existence of larvae. In conclusion, there is a relationship between the implementation of mosquito nest eradication (PSN), TPA, and the existence of solid waste with the presence of larvae, and there is no relationship between the frequency of mosquito larvae visits and the presence of larvae.
