Abstract

Students’ critical thinking and their ability to learn outcomes depend on the learning design and student activities. Most of the students use their free time by playing gadgets. Students learn faster with the features contained in gadgets than learning from sources in the form of textbooks. This phenomenon is the background for researchers to develop android-based chemical media which has several menus that can be explored by students in learning. Android-based chemical media was developed using the Smart Apps Creator application. This study aims to develop a digital media that is compatible with the android system. In this study the media is used to improve cognitive learning and critical thinking. In addition, it also aims to evaluate the responses of students in learning chemistry through the topic of Oxidation Reduction Reactions. The development of this media was adapted from the procedure of the interactive mobile learning development process. The collection of evaluation data models that are applied are pre-test and post-test in the test class. Based on the results of the development carried out, it can be concluded that the developed android-based chemical media has met the appropriate criteria. This media can help educators in the learning process effectively and optimally and make students interested in learning chemistry.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to determine the impact of employing a Three-Step Interview on students' speaking abilities. This study's population consisted of all 80 students in their first year at MAN Talang Leak Kabupaten Lebong. The sample consisted of 56 individuals drawn from two courses. The students were separated into two groups: the experimental group got therapy utilizing the Three-Step-Interview method, while the control group was taught using traditional methods. The data will be collected using several methods in the exam. The pre-test will be given once before the therapy begins, and the post-test will be given once the study is completed. This research includes seven treatment meetings. It is based on MAN Talang Leak's academic timetable and semester program. The post-test would be given to the students after they had received seven treatments for each topic. The results from this study will be statistically analyzed using the t-test for the pre-and post-tests. The post-test will be used to collect data on the influence of using the Three-Step-Interview method on students' speaking performance. The disparity between the two classes was substantial. According to the data analysis, the outcome demonstrates that the Three-Step-Interview approach may increase students' speaking abilities. It is possible to conclude that the usage of the Three-Step-Interview had a beneficial influence on students' speaking skills. Based on the findings, teachers are advised to utilize the Three-Step-Interview approach when training senior high school pupils to talk.

Abstract

This study evaluated students' abilities in compiling lecture presentation materials based on project learning. The study was carried out at the Doctor of Education Program, FKIP Universitas Bengkulu. The subjects of this study were students of the doctoral program at FKIP Universitas Bengkulu who were taking the Leadership Development and Decission Making course. The results obtained, indicate that first, the ability of students to prepare lecture presentation materials for class meetings with a PjBL approach varies, and some of them do not even reflect the ideal PjBL. Second, there are still some gaps between their theoretical thinking and the reality on the ground to realize effective project-based learning. Third, the ideal PjBL model to be applied in fulfilling lecture achievements is only possible if there is sufficient time available, using a flexible academic calendar, and the participation of related parties.
