Abstract

The demands of 21st-century education emphasize the importance of mastering higher-order thinking skills, particularly creative thinking, which is crucial for problem-solving, generating new ideas, and adapting to change. However, conventional approaches in chemistry instruction, especially in redox reaction topics have yet to effectively foster the development of these skills. This study aims to develop a high school chemistry learning package based on a collaborative learning model to cultivate students’ creative thinking skills in redox reaction material. A Design-Based Research approach was employed in five stages: needs analysis, instructional design, initial implementation, revision and validation, and limited trial. Data were collected through validation sheets, observations, creative thinking skill tests, and student response questionnaires. The results indicate that the developed learning package demonstrates high validity and practicality and significantly enhances students’ creative thinking skills across four indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The implementation of the collaborative learning model fostered an interactive classroom environment, encouraged idea exchange, and deepened conceptual understanding. These findings suggest that the designed learning package is theoretically sound and effective for use in chemistry education. This study contributes to the innovation of instructional materials and recommends further exploration of digital media integration and long-term implementation.

Abstract

This research aims to construct and test a predictive model for the gap-up phenomenon in stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with a case study on PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. (BMRI) stock. The research uses a quantitative approach by applying a Binary Logistic Regression model to analyze 1,213 daily historical data points from January 1, 2019, to January 1, 2024.Five technical analysis-based independent variables—vol_spike, rsi, prev_return, macd, and stochastic—were used to predict the probability of a stock gap-up occurrence. The analysis results show that the model as a whole is statistically significant (LLR p-value < 0.05), with an LLR p-value of (8.544e-11) and a Pseudo R-squared of 0.03389. Of the five variables, stochastic, macd, and prev_return were identified as significant predictors. Specifically, a high Stochastic Oscillator value has a strong positive influence on the probability of a gap-up. On the other hand, Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Previous Return show a significant negative influence. These findings provide empirical evidence that a combination of technical indicators can be used to model and predict stock price movements at market opening. The implications of this research offer valuable insight for investors who rely on technical analysis as a basis for decision-making.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of a school culture that does not support collaboration on the learning opportunity gap between students with different social and academic backgrounds. A school culture that prioritizes individual competition and does not encourage cooperation between students has the potential to exacerbate inequalities in learning. In such an environment, students from weaker social or academic backgrounds often do not get an equal opportunity to interact and learn together with more fortunate students. As a result, they become isolated and lose opportunities to improve their academic understanding, which further widens the gap in academic achievement. This research highlights the importance of creating a culture that supports collaboration in the classroom, which can provide greater opportunities for all students, including those who are marginalized, to learn together and share knowledge with each other. Collaboration between students is the key to reducing this inequality and improving the overall quality of learning. Schools need to adopt a more inclusive approach, one that prioritizes collaboration and cooperation among students to facilitate more equitable and equitable learning opportunities. In addition, it is important for teachers to be involved in training on how to support collaborative learning in the classroom.
