Abstract

Utilization of oil palm empty fruit bunches empty palm bunches as a vegetable pesticide in Lae Riman Village aims to increase the potential of the local economy and reduce the negative environmental impact due to palm oil plantation waste. This activity was carried out as part of Teuku Umar University's Regular Community Service Program (KKN), with a direct approach and socialization to the community. direct approach and socialization to the community. Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition where a person's blood pressure is above the normal rate. It can be treated using herbal treatments such as cucumber juice. According to World Health Organization data reports at least 839 million cases of hypertension, estimated to be 1.15 billion in 2025 or about 29% of the total world population, where sufferers are more in women (30%) than men (29%). Data in Indonesia shows that 25.8% of populations over the age of 18 are hypertension sufferers and from the provincial classification it is known that 26.4% are in Java. Objectives: This research aims to determine the effect of drinking cucumber juice on reducing hypertension. Method; This research was quantitative study using a pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test approach. This study used analytical survey research with cross sectional approach. Data collected using observation sheets. The populations were all menopausal mother amount 13 people and all were sampled (total population). Data analysis used Wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed differences in the average value of hypertension reduction before and after cucumber juice was given, from 30.8 to 92.3. Wilcoxon test results obtained A-Asymp Sig (2-tailed) value was p=.005 (<.050). Conclusion: The conclusion shows that there is an effect of drinking cucumber juice on reducing hypertension. Suggestion for respondents to increase their knowledge in managing hypertension using non-pharmacology, for institutions to add information on the benefits of cucumber juice in reducing hypertension, and for further researchers to develop it further.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan komunikasi santun di kalangan siswa Sekolah Agatha Al-Husin Desa Hamparan Perak. Secara khusus tujuannya adalah 1) meningkatkan kesadaran siswa tentang pentingnya komunikasi santun di media sosial; 2) mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi yang baik dan benar; 3) memperkuat karakter dan nilai-nilai moral siswa; 4) menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang positif dan mendukung komunikasi santun; 5) memberdayakan orangtua dan guru dalam mendampingi siswa menggunakan media sosial. Metode yang dilaksanakan dalam program ini adalah 1) edukasi melalui media seperti video, brosur dan poster; 2) pelatihan keterampilan melalui simulasi dan role-play untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi; 3) pemanfaatan media dan teknologi dengan memberikan contoh-contoh komunikasi santun melalui video atau cerita sukses. Kegiatan PKM ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai kesantunan dalam komunikasi media sosial efektif dalam membangun kesadaran digital generasi Z. Program ini juga menjadi salah satu langkah strategis untuk menciptakan lingkungan media sosial yang lebih sehat dan konstruktif, terutama di kalangan pelajar. Ke depan, diharapkan model edukasi serupa dapat diterapkan secara luas di berbagai institusi pendidikan untuk menciptakan generasi muda yang tidak hanya cerdas secara digital tetapi juga santun dalam berkomunikasi.

Abstract

This study explores the contextual interpretation of QS. ‘Abasa (80): 1-10 as articulated by Quraish Shihab in his renowned work, tafsir al-misbah. The surah recounts an incident where the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) frowned and turned away from Abdullah bin Ummi Maktum, a visually impaired companion. This narrative serves as a critical foundation for discussing issues of equality and the rights of persons with disabilities within an Islamic framework. Employing a qualitative research methodology with descriptive analysis, this study examines primary and secondary data to uncover the modern applicability of these verses in addressing contemporary discrimination against persons with disabilities. The findings reveal that QS. ‘Abasa emphasizes the principles of equality and inclusivity, advocating for the realization of the rights of persons with disabilities in a manner commensurate with those of the broader society. The study concludes that a modern interpretation of QS. ‘Abasa can serve as a philosophical foundation for fostering a more just and equitable society, underscoring that piety (taqwa) is the sole criterion for human distinction in the eyes of Allah.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the Performance Based Bureaucracy of the Civil Servants. How Performance Based Bureaucracy in the Civil Servants measured performance through four strategies, aimed at improving the quality of existing human resources at the Enrekang Regency Inspectorate. This study used   Phenomenological. This type was qualitative research, data sources consisted of primary data and secondary. The results of this study showed that performance-based bureucracy in producing four performance-based bureucracy strategies that had  a namely passive strategy, political strategy, perverse straregi, purposeful strategy were already running well as evidenced by the criteria for success indicators of knowledge, technical skills and behavioral attitudes as well as accuracy or performance targets although there was little that needs to be addressed so that Civil Servants had better quality performance.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach that aims to describe the characteristics of problem solving mathematics in terms of student cognitive style. The subjects of the study were students of class XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar consisting of 2 students with FI cognitive style and 2 students with cognitive style FD. instruments in this study are GEFT test, problem-solving test and interview guidance. Data collection is done through data analysis of written test of problem solving and interview.The results showed that: (1) at the stage of understanding the problem, the subject of the FI did not write down the known and the thing asked, while the subject of the FD wrote down the known and the question asked; (2) at the stage of making a problem-solving plan, the subject of the FI writes the formula or constructs an equation to be used in progress, while the subject of the FD compiles more than one problem-solving plan or solves the problem in various ways. In addition, the subject of FD tends to directly create an interface; (3) at the stage of carrying out the split plan, the subject of the FI includes data on the formula chosen in the planning stage or using the substitution-elimination method and completes it by algebraic operations (sum, subtraction, multiplication and division) to obtain a settlement of the problem, whereas the subject of FD includes data or values that are not derived from the problem into the formula chosen in the planning stage; (4) at the re-examining stage, the FI subject does not review the answer before collecting the answer sheets, while the FD subject re-examines the answer before collecting the answer sheets.

Abstract

Pada observasi awal  yang telah dilakukan  beberapa sekolah SMA di kota Jayapura dan kabupaten Jayapura ditemui kurangnya motivasi peserta didik terhadap Pelajaran fisika hal  berakibat pada hasil belajar fisika yang masih rendah.  Dari pengamatan ditemui bahwa Sebagian besar guru lebih memilih metode ceramah , hal ini hal ini dikarenakan lebih mudah dilakukan dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan peserta untuk lebih aktif. Kemudian ditemukan  dalam proses pembelajaran guru hanya mengajar teori tanpa memberikan praktik atau contoh kasus yang ada disekitar siswa. Sehingga banyak siswa beraggapan bahwa  pembelajaran fisika  hanya berkutat pada  teori-teori yang tidak bermanfaat  pada kehidupannya nyata. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi adanya praktikum di sekolah dengan keterbatasan alat yaitu mengunakan virtual laboratory.  Salah satu virtual laboratory yang telah tim kami kembangkan berbasis VBA excel. Di mana hampir semua perangkat baik kompoter maupun labtop yang ada sekolah baik yang dimiliki  guru secara pribadi maupun fasilitas komputer yang disediakan sekolah. Salah satu pendekatan pengajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa adalah Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL). Peserta didik didorong untuk melatih pemikiran kritis melalui metode ini.. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Pembangunan V Yapis Kota Jayapura untuk mengamati dampak PBL yang diintegrasikan dengan media VBA Excel terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Studi ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan secara komprehensif, mencakup data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis kuantitatif sederhana menunjukkan bahwa 80% siswa memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi. Temuan ini didukung oleh hasil regresi yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0,05, mengindikasikan pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran PBL terhadap motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

In the digital era, IKIP Siliwangi Cimahi seeks to enhance educational service quality by improving its new student admission process, which has faced issues like limited information, access difficulties, and data errors. This qualitative case study explores the planning, organization, implementation, supervision, impact, strengths, weaknesses, and design of a management information system (SIM) for admissions, using POAC management, SIM, and academic selection theories. Data were collected via observation, interviews, documentation, and FGD, and analyzed through triangulation. Results show that the SIM is well-structured, improves information access and registration efficiency, and is managed and supervised effectively. Benefits include faster, more transparent admissions, though challenges remain with internet access and occasional technical issues. This study contributes to the field of educational management by providing an in-depth analysis of the development and implementation of a well-structured Management Information System (SIM) for new student admissions at IKIP Siliwangi of Bandung at Cimahi.

Abstract

Currently, banks have issued a service called Electronic Banking (E-Banking). Where one of the services of E-Banking is Internet Banking which functions as an alternative to conducting banking transactions online using the Internet. Internet Banking makes it easier for customers to do online banking transactions, both financial transactions and non-financial transactions, except for making deposit transactions or cash withdrawals. But when using Internet Banking services, is there control or a chaotic system? Therefore, this article explains the reasons why customers use E-Banking services, the benefits perceived by customers, what are the obstacles faced by customers and suggestions or input on BSI E-Banking. Then in this article also provides an explanation of the experience of using E-Banking by customers. This article also explains the advantages and disadvantages of the E-Banking system. So that bank customers who wish to use Internet Banking services gain knowledge and can choose a bank that provides better and safer Internet Banking service security and can reduce disturbances in the E-Banking service system

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the mineral content in mountain salt derived from saltwater sources in the mountainous area of Krayan, especially South Krayan. The main objective of this research is to identify the mineral content in mountain salt, with the hope that it can be further developed for economic, environmental, health, and scientific aspects. Potential uses include natural resource development, health and nutritional benefits, mountain salt-based industries, and sustainable mining practices. The research method involved laboratory testing using Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (SSA), X-Ray Difractometer (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). SSA results showed the content of minerals such as Na, K, Mg, Al, Cu, Zn, Fe, Ba, and Sr. XRD analysis identified the main peak of NaCl crystals with impurities of KCl, CaCl₂, MgCl₂, and AlCl₃. SEM observations revealed a cuboidal crystal morphology with a space group of Fm3m and a crystal lattice length of 5.620 Å. Overall, this study aims to understand the mineral composition of mountain salt and its implications for local food health.
