Abstract

Abstrak: Kasus Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) seperti hipertensi dan diabetes melitus terus meningkat di Kelurahan Baiya. Rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai gaya hidup sehat dan deteksi dini, serta terbatasnya peran kader kesehatan, memperburuk situasi ini. Selain itu, cakupan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) dan pemberian ASI eksklusif masih rendah karena kurangnya edukasi bagi ibu hamil. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas kader kesehatan dalam skrining PTM dan memperkuat pengetahuan ibu hamil terkait IMD. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, penyuluhan interaktif, dan pelatihan praktik bagi 20 warga usia ≥35 tahun, 5 pemuda, dan 10 ibu hamil. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan PTM pada masyarakat dari 36% menjadi 88%, pengetahuan IMD/ASI eksklusif pada ibu hamil meningkat dari 50% menjadi 100%, serta 100% kader mampu melakukan skrining tekanan darah dan perhitungan IMT. Intervensi ini terbukti meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan dan keterampilan kader secara signifikan.Abstract: Cases of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus continue to increase in Baiya Village. The low public knowledge about healthy lifestyles and early detection, as well as the limited role of health cadres, exacerbate this situation. In addition, the coverage of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) and exclusive breastfeeding is still low due to the lack of education for pregnant women. This service activity aims to increase the capacity of health cadres in NCD screening and strengthen pregnant women's knowledge related to IMD. The methods used included socialization, interactive counseling, and practical training for 20 residents aged ≥35 years, 5 youth, and 10 pregnant women. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-test. The results showed an increase in NCD knowledge in the community from 36% to 88%, exclusive knowledge of IMD/ASI in pregnant women increased from 50% to 100%, and 100% of cadres were able to conduct blood pressure screening and BMI calculations. This intervention has been shown to significantly increase health awareness and skills of cadres.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini merupakan implementasi dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pengembangan pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra di sekolah dasar melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SDI Minasa Upa dengan tujuan memperkenalkan penggunaan teknologi Virtual Augmented (VA) sebagai inovasi pembelajaran interaktif yang memadukan dunia nyata dan dunia virtual. Melalui teknologi VA, siswa dapat memvisualisasikan objek 3D, teks, dan audio dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa seperti menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis, serta dalam apresiasi ragam sastra seperti puisi dan cerita rakyat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan kepada guru, demonstrasi langsung penggunaan aplikasi Assemblr Edu, dan pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis VA di kelas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar, kreativitas, serta keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra. Guru menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dalam integrasi teknologi VA sebagai media pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menarik. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan literasi digital, keterampilan berbahasa, serta apresiasi sastra siswa di era pendidikan digital.

Abstract

This Study aims to determine: 1). The form of implementing teacher training regarding the concept of Free Learning for the Minister of Education and Culture at SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. 2). Knowing the factors that become obstacles and supports in implementing the Merdeka Learning Mendikbud learning at SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. 3). Knowing the advantages of the Free Learning Ministry of Education and Culture curriculum at SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used are interviews and observations. The data collection process carried out by researchers included: preparing data, reflecting on data, coding data, sharing coding results, interpreting, and interpreting data. The research results show 1). The form of implementing the independent learning curriculum carried out by teachers at SMP Negeri 13 Makassar, namely: at the beginning of learning a diagnostic test is carried out, centered on students, planning the learning process according to the needs of students, according to the characteristics/learning styles of students, the learning process is differentiated , and reflection at the end of learning. 2). Factors that become obstacles and supports during the implementation of the independent learning curriculum system at SMP Negeri 13 Makassar, namely inhibiting factors: differences in student characteristics (Human Resources), time mapping, student mindset, and injustice in giving ways to do assignments , while the supporting factors are: with training and guidance, school facilities and infrastructure are fulfilled, using the time provided as well as possible, and understanding the conditions that every human being has differences in capturing a lesson. 3). The advantages of the independent learning curriculum are: more independent, simpler, more liberating in determining the form of learning style/way according to students' abilities, and more relevant.ugj@unm.ac.id.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Masalah gizi pada balita, khususnya stunting dan wasting, masih menjadi tantangan kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia. Kabupaten Tolitoli termasuk daerah dengan prevalensi stunting cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan data Dinas Kesehatan Tolitoli tahun 2023 terdapat 136 (10,54%) kasus stunting dan 8 (0,62%) wasting dari 1.290 balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dungingis. Kondisi ini diperparah dengan rendahnya keterampilan kader posyandu dalam pengukuran antropometri dan penilaian status gizi anak. Tujuan kegiatan pengabmas ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dungingis, khususnya Desa Galumpang, dalam melakukan pengukuran antropometri menggunakan metode Z-Score pada balita upaya pencegahan stunting. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan kepada 20 kader posyandu yang tersebar di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dungingis. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pre-test dan post-test pengetahuan serta observasi keterampilan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah pengetahuan kader mengenai stunting meningkat dari 45% menjadi 85%. Kader mendapatkan keterampilan dalam melakukan pengukuran antropometri dan interpretasi status gizi dengan metode Z-Score. Produk luaran berupa leaflet edukasi dan banner antropometri berhasil digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan ini efektif meningkatkan kapasitas kader posyandu dalam melakukan deteksi dini stunting. Program serupa direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di wilayah dengan prevalensi stunting tinggi. Kata Kunci: Kader Posyandu, Antropometri, Status Gizi, Z-Score, Stunting.  ABSTRACT Nutritional problems in toddlers, particularly stunting and wasting, remain a public health challenge in Indonesia. Tolitoli Regency is among the areas with a relatively high prevalence of stunting. According to data from the Tolitoli District Health Office in 2023, there were 136 cases of stunting (10.54%) and 8 cases of wasting (0.62%) out of 1,290 toddlers in the working area of Dungingis Health Center. This condition is exacerbated by the limited skills of posyandu cadres in conducting anthropometric measurements and assessing children’s nutritional status. The purpose of this community service program was to improve the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres in the Dungingis Health Center working area, particularly in Galumpang Village, in performing anthropometric measurements using the Z-Score method for toddlers as an effort to prevent stunting. The method applied was health education and training provided to 20 posyandu cadres across the Dungingis Health Center area. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test of knowledge as well as observation of skills. The results showed that cadres’ knowledge about stunting increased from 45% to 85%. They also acquired skills in conducting anthropometric measurements and interpreting nutritional status using the Z-Score method. The program produced educational outputs in the form of a leaflet and an anthropometry banner, which were successfully used as learning media. This training was effective in enhancing the capacity of posyandu cadres in the early detection of stunting. Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia and remains a major global health problem. Effective management of DM requires proper self-management behaviors, including adequate knowledge and regular physical activity, which are essential for maintaining optimal blood glucose levels. This study aimed to examine the relationship between knowledge and physical activity with blood glucose levels among patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design using a cross-sectional method. The study was conducted at Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital, Makassar, Indonesia, in December 2025. A total of 40 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, while blood glucose data were obtained from medical records. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square. Result: The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 50–60 years (57.5%), female (67.5%), had low educational levels (87.5%), and had been living with diabetes for 4–6 years (52.5%). Most respondents had blood glucose levels of 100–200 mg/dL (62.5%). There was a statistically significant relationship between knowledge and blood glucose levels (p = 0.000), where respondents with good knowledge had better glycemic control. Additionally, a significant relationship was found between physical activity and blood glucose levels (p = 0.000), indicating that respondents with active physical activity had better glycemic control compared to those with low physical activity. Conclusion: Knowledge and physical activity are significant determinants of glycemic control among patients with diabetes mellitus. Therefore, integrating patient education and the promotion of regular physical activity into diabetes management programs is essential to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the risk of complications.

Abstract

Air limbah laboratorium kimia seringkali ditemukan memiliki sifat berbahaya seperti pH yang sangat rendah serta kekeruhan, total padatan, dan kandungan logam berat yang dapat membahayakan lingkungan jika dibuang tanpa pengolahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan studi awal pengolahan air limbah laboratorium kimia dengan kombinasi metode netralisasi, MSL dan UF, serta mengetahui efektivitasnya. Adapun hasil Analisa awal pada air limbah yang diperoleh yaitu pH sebesar 1,5; kekeruhan sebesar 133 NTU; total padatan terlarut (TDS) sebesar 22.970 ppm; total padatan tersuspensi (TSS) sebesar 2.704 ppm; dan konsentrasi Fe sebesar 761 ppm. Ketika menggunakan larutan basa (NaOH/KOH) untuk netralisasi, pH naik menjadi netral dan jumlah besi turun sebesar 92,49%. Namun, terjadi peningkatan TSS karena endapan terbentuk selama proses netralisasi. Penggunaan MSL mengurangi kekeruhan dan kadar besi masing-masing hingga 82,93% dan 98,79%,tetapi tidak menurunkan TDS/TSS secara memadai. Ketika MSL dikombinasikan dengan UF, peningkatan keseluruhan paling baik dengan pengurangan kekeruhan sebesar 82,48%; TDS sebesar 48,04%; TSS sebesar 4,88%; dan besi sebesar 99,87%. Dengan demikian, metode terintegrasi netralisasi, MSL dan UF mampu meningkatkan kualitas air limbah, meskipun diperlukan optimasi lanjutan untuk memenuhi baku mutu TDS dan TSS sebelum pembuangan ke lingkungan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of students in the Social Studies Education Study Program at Makassar State University toward value-based learning, the level of students’ social sensitivity, and the relationship between these two variables. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire distributed to 165 Social Studies Education students at Universitas Negeri Makassar and were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques assisted by IBM SPSS. The results indicate that students’ perceptions of value-based learning fall within the moderate to high category, with a predominance of the moderate category, suggesting that value-based learning has been implemented and reasonably well received, although not yet optimal. Students’ social sensitivity is in the moderate category, particularly in the indicators of critical awareness, social concern, and sensitivity to the social environment. Furthermore, the analysis reveals a very strong and significant relationship between students’ perceptions of value-based learning and their social sensitivity. These findings conclude that value-based learning plays a strategic role in enhancing students’ social sensitivity; therefore, it needs to be developed in a more integrated, reflective, and contextual manner in Social Studies learning at the higher education level.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengeksplorasi nilai kearifan lokal sulapa eppa sebagai strategi kultural pada pendidikan sejarah untuk menciptakan sekolah ramah terhadap lingkungan sosial dan mencegah perilaku perundungan di Kota Makassar. Fenomena kekerasan di sekolah dan perundungan yang marak terjadi menunjukkan adanya diskoneksi antara identitas budaya luhur dengan prilaku sosial murid di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi dengan melalukan observasi partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam di SMAN 23 Makassar untuk memahami nilai-nilai sejarah yang diinternalisasikan dalam interaksi keseharian murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rekonstruksi pilar sulapa eppa yang meliputi acca (cerdas), lempu (jujur), warani (berani), getteng(tegas) dapat menjadi energi positif bagi murid. Implementasi terhadap etika sosial seperti sipakatau (saling memanusiakan), sipakalebbi (saling menghargai), dan sipakainge (saling mengingatkan) terbukti mampu meningkatkan empati dan kesadaran murid. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan, bahwa kearifan lokal seperti acca, lempu, warani, dan getting efektif sebagai instrument rekayasa sosial dalam membangun ekosistem Pendidikan yang inklusif dan harmonis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kelayakan usaha tani jagung di Desa Padaidi, Kecamatan Tellu Siattinge, Kabupaten Bone, dalam perspektif ekonomi syariah. Tujuan penelitian meliputi: (1) analisis kelayakan ekonomi usaha tani jagung, (2) identifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi produksi dan pendapatan, serta (3) evaluasi penerapan prinsip ekonomi syariah. Penelitian bersifat campuran (mixed methods) dengan desain concurrent embedded, di mana data kualitatif dari wawancara mendominasi dan data kuantitatif berupa perhitungan RC Ratio sebagai pelengkap. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan observasi, dengan analisis data yang mencakup reduksi, penyajian, integrasi, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan: (1) usaha tani jagung layak secara ekonomi dengan RC Ratio 2,72–3,53 (>1,3), dipengaruhi luas lahan, modal, tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk, pestisida, fluktuasi harga, dan cuaca; (2) faktor produksi utama seperti lahan, modal, tenaga kerja, dan input agronomi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi dan profitabilitas; serta (3) prinsip ekonomi syariah terealisasi melalui akad muzara'ah bagi hasil 2:1, transparansi pencatatan biaya, pembayaran upah tepat waktu, serta bebas dari riba dan gharar. Oleh karena itu, direkomendasikan penguatan akad muzara'ah secara tertulis dan peningkatan pemahaman prinsip syariah guna mencapai keberlanjutan usaha yang adil dan berorientasi pada maslahah.

Abstract

Local wisdom holds significant potential as a contextual biology learning resource, yet its integration into the Independent Curriculum remains underexplored, particularly in coastal communities. This study aims to examine the integration of the local wisdom of the Duano Tribe's mussel tradition into biology learning in the Independent Curriculum. This tradition contains ecological knowledge, organismal adaptation, biomechanics of motion, as well as conservation values relevant to biological concepts. The research uses the Narrative Literature Review (NLR) design by examining articles published in 2018–2025 that discuss local wisdom, ethnopedagogy, coastal biology, and curriculum implementation. The analysis is carried out through thematic coding to identify concept patterns and potential integration in learning. The results of the study show that the tradition of mussels can be used to strengthen the understanding of coastal ecosystems, the morphological and physiological adaptation of blood mussels, as well as the issue of environmental change. The integration of local potential is also relevant for the development of inquiry-based learning activities and project-based learning, as well as supporting the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile. Overall, this study confirms that the manongkah kerang tradition has strong educational value and can be implemented as a contextual learning resource to improve students' ecological competence, cultural identity, and environmental awareness.
