Abstract

The community service titled “Education and Socialization of Digital Talent Management for Corn Chips MSMEs in Banyu Urip Village” was carried out as part of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) at Universitas Bina Darma. This activity was motivated by the limited digital literacy and managerial capacity of MSME actors, which affects the efficiency and competitiveness of small-scale businesses. The aim of this service was to introduce and implement the concept of Digital Talent Management (DTM) as a strategy for improving human resource management in the industrial sector. The method used was a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and training to help MSMEs utilize simple digital tools such as Microsoft Excel and social media for data management, marketing, and recruitment. The results showed that business actors began to understand the importance of structured and technology-based management. The implementation of DTM encouraged local MSMEs to adapt to digital transformation, thereby enhancing their productivity and business sustainability.

Abstract

Education funding that allocates additional resources to schools with a concentration of vulnerable or low-achieving students is a common policy instrument in many countries. This article presents a systematic synthesis of two recent empirical studies evaluating the causal effects of such funding using a regression discontinuity design (RDD) approach: Badunenko et al.'s (2025) study on primary education in Flanders (Belgium) and Sohn et al.'s (2022) study on primary schools in South Korea under a centralized funding system. The theoretical review links the findings to the education production function, human capital theory, and the distinction between average and underachievement. The synthesis shows that policy design (target definition, beneficiary threshold, and use of funds) and outcome measures determine the interpretation of effectiveness: in Flanders, additional funding showed no significant impact on mathematics scores but reduced underachievement; in South Korea, an increase in funding per pupil of approximately 20 percent at the policy threshold was associated with a decrease in the proportion of below-average students in most subjects, except reading. Implications for research and policy are discussed narratively.

Abstract

The study of calcination at 450 ºC on Ca-Mg-Al-hydrotalcite synthesized from brine water has been investigated. Characterization by XRD shows that Ca-Mg-Al hydrotalcite compound has found hydrotalcite phase and another phase such as Mg(OH)2, Al(OH)3 and CaCO3. These results are confirmed by the presence of hydroxyl groups (-O-H), M-O and M-OH groups (M is Mg, Ca and Al) at wavenumber region around     3463,34 cm-1; 447,50 cm-1; 536,62 cm-1and 786,99 cm-1. The calcination on Ca-Mg-Al hydrotalcite at 450 ºC affected change in the structure become a metal oxide such as MgO, CaO, Al2O3, MgAl2O4, and CaCO3. These results are confirmed from decreasing on the absorption peak of M-OH group at wavenumbers around 536,62 cm-1and 786,99 cm-1 and widening of the absorption region at 447,5 - 857,4 cm-1. Consequently, the calcination treatment successfully increased the surface area of Ca-Mg-Al hydrotalcite compounds from 97.4 m2/g to 156.826 m2/g. Morphology of Ca-Mg-Al hydrotalcite underwent changes the shape from a big to be a small form. Thermal analysis results showed changes in the structure of Ca-Mg-Al hydrotalcite into oxides begin at a temperature of 210 ºC and become oxide completely after the temperature reaches 420 ºC.

Abstract

This study examines mīzān, meaning balance, measure, justice, and equilibrium, in Surah al-Raḥmān 55:7–9 and explores its relevance to waste-management conditions in Kertajaya Village, Pebayuran Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency. The study employed a qualitative design combining library research and field research through an ecotheological approach. Textual analysis examined the interpretations of Ibn Kathir, al-Sa‘di, Hamka, and M. Quraish Shihab, while field data were collected through semi-structured interviews with eight key informants and observations of irrigation channels, residential drainage, and riverbank areas. The textual data were analyzed comparatively, and field data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings show that the four exegetes associate mīzān with justice, proportion, equilibrium, restraint, and the divinely established order of creation. Drawing on these themes, the study develops ecological carrying capacity, environmental justice, and ecological piety as analytical syntheses for interpreting local environmental conditions. Field findings indicate visible pressure on irrigation channels and residential drainage through waste accumulation, water-hyacinth growth, limited disposal facilities, inconsistent maintenance, and uneven participation in collective cleaning activities. Household practices, including waste burning, burial, and disposal near waterways, were shaped by constrained disposal options and the absence of a consistent village-level waste-management system. The study concludes that environmental problems in Kertajaya Village arise through the interaction of household practices, limited environmental services, weak maintenance arrangements, and insufficient local coordination. Qur’anic ecological ethics can support environmental responsibility when connected with practical institutions, accessible waste services, environmental education, and community participation. The proposed Village Ecotheology Forum is presented as an initial community-based option that requires further testing through participatory research.

Abstract

Heriyanto et al, 2018. Analysis of the Production Factors of the People's Palm Oil According to the Land Typology in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. JLSO 7(1):14-25. Palm oil commodities are one of the plantation sub-sector commodities that increase the income of farmers and the community, provide processing industry raw materials that create added value. The land cultivated by independent oil palm farmers consists of land land, tidal peatlands, coastal peatlands and coastal land. The difference in typology of this land will contribute to different production. The research aimed to analyze the oil palm production and the dominant factor affecting oil palm production according to the typology of land in Indragiri Hilir Riau Province. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and built multiple regression models with the dummy variable method of Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results of the study showed that the production of oil palm cultivation on land is the highest compared to the typology of tidal peatland, coastal peat and coastal land. The dominant factors affecting palm oil production in Indragiri Hilir Regency were the amount of fertilizer use, labor, age of plants, herbicides and dummy typology of land. In order to obtain optimal production, this study recommended doing oil palm farming in accordance with the correct cultivation techniques in accordance with the characteristics of land typology. Besides that the use of balanced fertilizer (elements of N, P, and K) in accordance with the recommended needed to be applied.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Balanced Scorecard-based Human Resources (HR) performance evaluation model that suits the needs and characteristics of consulting services companies. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis from five different consulting companies. The results of the analysis show that HR performance evaluation practices tend to be separated from the strategic planning process and are not aligned with the company's long-term goals. Based on these findings, a Balanced Scorecard-based HR performance evaluation model was developed, which includes financial, customer, internal process, and learning and growth dimensions. This model was then validated and field tested, which demonstrated its validity, relevance and implementability in the context of consulting services companies. The practical implication of this research is the importance of aligning performance evaluation with strategic planning to increase the effectiveness of HR performance management and support the achievement of consulting companies' business goals.

Abstract

Environmental degradation and the stagnation of farmer welfare in rural Indonesia demand a reorientation of the agricultural management paradigm toward one that is not merely technocratic but also ethical-spiritual. This study examines the concept of Khilāfah fī al-Arḍ as an ontological and axiological foundation for sustainable agricultural development through a thematic exegetical study of QS. Al-Baqarah: 30 and QS. Al-An‘ām: 141. Unlike previous studies that predominantly focus on normative environmental ethics, this research specifically synthesizes exegetical analysis into an ethical-operational framework for agronomy. Employing a qualitative-analytical method, this research integrates classical and contemporary exegetical traditions with an analysis of agronomic and socio-economic data regarding the national agrarian crisis of 2024. The findings demonstrate that QS. Al-Baqarah: 30 defines Khilāfah not as exploitative domination but as a mandate of Imārat al-Arḍ (earth stewardship) which requires competence in knowledge (‘ilm) and the prevention of ecological corruption (fasād). Meanwhile, QS. Al-An‘ām: 141 provides guiding principles for agricultural management through biological diversification (polyculture), distributive justice (ḥaqqahu), and input efficiency (lā tusrifū). The synthesis of these two verses generates an “Agricultural Ecotheology” paradigm that positions the farmer as a guardian of ecosystem balance (mīzān) and an agent of social justice. This framework is highly relevant for addressing soil fatigue caused by excessive agrochemicals and structural poverty in rural areas.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of online gaming among university students may influence dietary patterns, nutritional status, sleep patterns, and physical activity, which are critical for long-term health. This study was motivated by concerns that online game addiction could be associated with malnutrition and sedentary behavior among medical students. The aim of this research is  to determine the association between online game addiction and dietary patterns, nutritional status, sleep patterns, and physical activity among medical students of Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana class of 2024. An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted involving 80 medical students selected using nonprobability purposive sampling based on predefined inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods with Chi-Square or Fisher Exact tests at a significance level of p<0.05. Online game addiction was not associated with meal frequency p 0.746, food variety p 0.896, or sleep patterns p=0.706. A borderline association was found with nutritional status p=0.051, and a significant association was observed with physical activity p=0.036. Online game addiction among these medical students appeared to be more closely related to nutritional status and physical activity than to dietary and sleep patterns.
