Abstract

Bakteri Asam Laktat (BAL) adalah kelompok mikroorganisme General Recognized as Safe (GRAS) yang berperan penting dalam menghasilkan senyawa fungsional, termasuk Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). GABA merupakan asam amino non-protein yang memiliki fungsi sebagai penghambat neurotransmitter utama dalam sistem saraf pusat juga berperan sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan BAL dari produk fermentasi Chao khas daerah Pangkep dalam menghasilkan senyawa GABA sebagai antioksidan menggunakan metode Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai Retention factor (Rf) isolat BAL C2 tanpa MSG yaitu 0,82, C2 MSG 1% 0,84, C10 tanpa MSG 0,8 dan 0,64, C10 MSG 1% 0,86 dan 0,68. Dengan aktivitas antioksidan berdasarkan nilai IC50 C2 tanpa MSG 940,11 ppm, C2 MSG 1% 1124,97 ppm, C10 tanpa MSG 884,73 ppm, dan C10 MSG 1% 939,17 ppm. Nilai Rf isolat C2 dan C10 dengan penambahan MSG 1% lebih menghampiri nilai Rf larutan standar yaitu 0,88 dan aktivitas antioksidan isolat C2 dan C10 tergolong sangat lemah dikarenakan nilai IC50 nya >200 ppm. Ini dapat menjadi dasar optimalisasi produksi GABA oleh BAL dari produk fermentasi lokal seperti Chao untuk pengembangan probiotik atau suplemen fungsional yang bermanfaat untuk kesehatan. Kata kunci: Chao, Bakteri Asam Laktat, Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid, Antioksidan Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) are a group of microorganisms generally recognized as safe (GRAS) that play a vital role in producing functional compounds, including Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). GABA is a non-protein amino acid that functions as a major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and also acts as an antioxidant. This study aimed to determine the ability of LAB from a local fermented product, Pangkep Chao, to produce GABA as an antioxidant using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Based on the research, the retention factor (Rf) values for LAB isolates were as follows: C2 without MSG was 0.82, C2 with 1% MSG was 0.84, C10 without MSG was 0.8 and 0.64, and C10 with 1% MSG was 0.86 and 0.68. The antioxidant activity, based on the IC50 value, was 940.11 ppm for C2 without MSG, 1124.97 ppm for C2 with 1% MSG, 884.73 ppm for C10 without MSG, and 939.17 ppm for C10 with 1% MSG. The Rf values of the C2 and C10 isolates with 1% MSG were closer to the standard solution's Rf value of 0.88, but the antioxidant activity of the C2 and C10 isolates was considered very weak because their IC50 values >200 ppm. This research can serve as a basis for optimizing GABA production by LAB from local fermented products like Chao for the development of beneficial probiotics or functional supplements

Abstract

Instructional approach adaptation is a learning strategy focused on adjusting teaching methods to students’ characteristics, needs, and psychological conditions. This study aims to describe the application of an adaptive instructional approach in Geography learning as an integration of theory and pedagogical practice at Senior High School. The research method employed was a qualitative case study through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with the Geography teacher. The findings indicate that the teacher implemented empathy-based and flexible teaching by utilizing digital media and projectbased methods to enhance students’ motivation and engagement. This approach effectively created an interactive and contextual learning process suited to students’ characteristics, representing a real integration between educational theory and classroom practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by geography teachers in creating a conducive classroom environment in East Kampar District by examining aspects of teacher personality, learning methods, and classroom management. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing five scientific articles related to learning strategies, learning environments, and the role of teachers in fostering a comfortable classroom atmosphere. The analysis was conducted by extracting key findings from each article and linking them to the learning needs of geography education in the research area. The findings indicate that geography teachers can create a conducive classroom environment through effective communication, empathetic attitudes, and interactive learning strategies such as Discovery Learning, which enhance student activity and participation. In addition, the arrangement of the physical and social classroom environment, as well as teachers’ ability to address curriculum-related challenges, also influence the conduciveness of learning. Overall, appropriate strategies can improve students’ comfort, motivation, and engagement in geography learning.

Abstract

The diversity of students’ characteristics and the uniqueness of the local context of Pekanbaru City require high school Geography teachers to adapt their teaching methods in order to create meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to analyze the role of Geography teachers in adapting instructional methods to students’ characteristics and the local context in senior high schools in Pekanbaru. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving Geography teachers in several senior high schools. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Geography teachers play an active role in adjusting teaching methods to students’ characteristics by applying various strategies, such as contextual discussions, local case studies, the use of the surrounding environment as a learning resource, and the utilization of relevant instructional media. Furthermore, the local context of Pekanbaru, including its geographical, environmental, and socio-cultural conditions, is integrated into the learning process to enhance students’ understanding and engagement. These methodological adaptations are shown to improve students’ participation, conceptual understanding, and the relevance of Geography learning

Abstract

Corruption within state-owned enterprises (SOEs) remains a critical challenge in emerging economies, undermining public trust, financial integrity, and investor confidence. This study examines the corruption case of PT Timah Tbk in Indonesia through the lens of Fraud Triangle Theory, focusing on the interaction of pressure, opportunity, and rationalization. Employing a normative juridical approach complemented by literature and documentary analysis, the research analyzes legal frameworks, organizational governance, and empirical evidence related to the case. Findings indicate that financial pressures from market expectations and declining profits created strong motivational drivers (pressure), while weaknesses in corporate governance, procurement procedures, and oversight mechanisms enabled illicit practices (opportunity). Executives rationalized these actions as necessary for achieving corporate targets and preserving organizational interests (rationalization). Legal analysis confirms that these actions violated Law No. 20/2001 on Corruption and Law No. 19/2003 on SOEs, demonstrating gaps between statutory provisions and effective enforcement. The study highlights that addressing SOE corruption requires an integrated strategy combining strengthened internal controls, transparency, ethical leadership, whistleblower protection, and robust legal enforcement. By systematically linking theoretical, legal, and empirical perspectives, this research provides both explanatory insights into corporate fraud mechanisms and practical guidance for enhancing governance and accountability in state-owned enterprises, particularly in resource-based sectors of emerging markets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan metode tutor sebaya dengan mahasiswa yang tidak belajar dengan menggunakan metode tutor sebaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perkuliahan fungsi kompleks dikarenakan penting bagi dosen menggunakan model maupun metode dalam pembelajaran salah satunya metode tutor sebaya. Pada penelitian ini, yang menjadi populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester 5 pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau semester Ganjil 2023-2024. Sedangkan yang menjadi sampel ialah kelas PMT 5A dan PMT 5B. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan teknik observasi dan instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal ujian akhir semester dan lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni Uji-t untuk melihat ada atau tidak perbedaan antara hasil belajar menggunakan pembelajaran tutor sebaya dengan yang tidak menggunakan tutor sebaya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan yaitu terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah fungsi kompleks antara mahasiswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan metode tutor sebaya dengan mahasiswa yang belajar dengan tidak menggunakan metode tutor sebaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menanggapi kebutuhan bahan ajar digital matematika yang bermakna melalui pengembangan e-modul Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) berbasis kontekstual yang diintegrasikan dengan nilai-nilai keislaman sebagai penguatan karakter peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan e-modul yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan model ADDIE (Analysis–Design–Development–Implementation–Evaluation) berbantuan Flip PDF Professional. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi ahli (ahli materi dan ahli teknologi pendidikan), angket kepraktisan siswa pada uji kelompok kecil (10 siswa) dan uji kelompok terbatas (20 siswa), serta tes post-test berupa 5 soal uraian. Data validitas dan kepraktisan dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan persentase keidealan, sedangkan efektivitas dianalisis dengan membandingkan nilai post-test kelas eksperimen (n=20) dan kelas kontrol (n=18) menggunakan uji Mann–Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan e-modul berada pada kategori sangat valid (85,68% dan 82,25%) dan sangat praktis (89,71% dan 90,8%). Nilai post-test kelas eksperimen (M=87,16) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (M=61,78) dan berbeda signifikan (U=13,5 < Utabel=112; α=0,05). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa e-modul layak digunakan dan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar SPLDV sekaligus memperkuat nilai karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

Chao is a traditional fermented food that comes from the Pangkep area. The microorganism that dominates Chao is the lactic acid bacteria (LAB). LAB bacteria belong to a group of probiotic bacteria that have many health benefits. Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteria are bacteria that cause infections whose prevalence is increasing. The purpose of this study is to explore LAB from Chao Pangkep as a new source to find LAB that can be used to treat MRSA infection. The research methods carried out were LAB isolate rejuvenation, lactic acid bacterial selection through hemolytic tests and antibacterial activity tests using the agar diffusion method (Kirby and Bauer disc diffusion). The test results showed that three LAB isolates, namely C2, C10, and C11, were γ-hemolytic (non-hemolytic) so they were not pathogenic. The three non-pathogenic isolates were subsequently used as LAB candidates for testing antibacterial activity. Antibacterial activity is shown by the presence of clear zones formed around bacterial colonies. The existence of LAB's ability as an antibacterial is due to the production of metabolite compounds. Therefore, the lactic acid (LAB) bacterial isolate with code C11 has antibacterial activity, so it can be used as a potential candidate to control pathogenic bacteria.

Abstract

Islamic religious education is the basic thing as the first education for autistic students because basically autistic students are not students who are categorized as crazy or amnesiac students, so these autistic students are still burdened with sharia law or taklif (legal burden). So in this study the researcher tries to present how the objectives, curriculum, implementation, evaluation and obstacles and challenges in Islamic Religious Education learning for students with special needs autism at SKh Al-Khairiyah, Cilegon City. This study uses a field research method or field research using a descriptive qualitative method with a prospective case study (Propestive Case Study). The data sources we use are primary data and secondary data. The results of the study show that the results of the implementation of learning in the autism class in the delivery of Islamic Religious Education teaching, a teacher applies the Social Story method and also the drill method (repetitions). In addition to classroom learning, the habits of religious practices are also trained consistently. While the evaluation model is not only with test and non-test evaluation, the evaluation is also carried out by observing information from people around, both from teachers, homeroom teachers and information from students' guardians regarding children's daily behavior.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has significantly transformed higher education learning processes. One AI-based tool that has been increasingly utilized by students is ChatGPT, particularly as academic support in preparing presentations. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) ChatGPT on the presentation quality of students in the Civic Education (PPKn) Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sriwijaya Palembang. This research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 110 students, with 52 students selected as samples using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using normality tests, linearity tests, simple linear regression, correlation analysis, t-tests, and F-tests with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that the use of ChatGPT has a positive and significant effect on students’ presentation quality, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and a coefficient of determination of 29.7%. These findings suggest that ChatGPT contributes to better material organization, improved content mastery, and increased student confidence during presentations. However, its use should be conducted wisely to avoid excessive dependence that may hinder creativity and critical thinking skills.
