Abstract

This study investigates students' experiences and challenges when presenting at international Islamic conferences, focusing on their confidence and self-expression. Using a qualitative case study design, two participants were selected through purposive sampling, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The results revealed that while students expressed enthusiasm for participating in these events, they faced several challenges, including time constraints, language barriers, and adapting to the expectations of diverse audiences. Confidence levels varied; some students felt reasonably confident, while others demonstrated higher self-assurance due to thorough preparation. The findings emphasize the importance of preparation, language proficiency, and cultural sensitivity when presenting at international academic forums, especially in Islamic forums. The study also highlights the need for academic institutions to provide better support to help students develop these critical skills. Future research could explore a broader range of participants and contexts and the long-term development of public speaking confidence in such settings.

Abstract

Students' knowledge and skills to be able to perform baby bathing and umbilical cord care properly and correctly are very much needed in carrying out health services. The purpose of Community Service is to assess and find out the description of students' skills on how to bathe babies properly and safely. The method used in Community Service activities is a direct examination of students who are implementing the practice of baby bathing and umbilical cord care for newborns. The results of community service obtained the level of student skills in the practice of baby bathing and umbilical cord care for newborns are skilled 23 students (77%) and unskilled as many as 7 students (23%). The conclusion is that the increase in students' skills and knowledge in bathing babies from the beginning which was still lacking and finally students know and understand the importance of carrying out health services.

Abstract

Agricultural development requires dynamic agriculture or agriculture that incorporates new technologies. The development of technology can take the form of methods, changes in crop types, changes in inputs, as well as changes in the agricultural tools used in the agricultural production process. The sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation with a sample size of 10 people. The data analysis method employed is descriptive data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that based on the Likert scale test on the utilization of small hand tractor mechanization in agriculture, with an average score of 94.2%, this shows it is very beneficial for farmers in Sanglepongan Village. The role of mechanization tools such as hand tractors in the agricultural cultivation process in Sanglepongan village demonstrates that they are very important and bring various significant benefits to farmers and the agricultural community. Here are some key roles of small hand tractors in agriculture in Sanglepongan Village, namely in land preparation, reducing physical workload, increasing crop productivity, saving time and costs, modernizing agriculture, reducing dependence on labor, and facing weather and seasonal challenges. The impact of using small hand tractors on increasing farmers' production in Sanglepongan village shows that this positive effect is evident not only in the increase in the quantity of harvests but also in the improvement of quality and sustainability of farming practices, timely planting, and a reduction in manual labor.

Abstract

The demand in both the domestic and international markets for chili commodities in the future is expected to increase along with the rising population and income levels, which can impact the income of chili farming and ultimately affect household income. This research aims to analyze the impact of planting bird's eye chili on the rice field bunds on the household income of farmers. This study employs a quantitative method to understand whether and how the additional income from bird's eye chili can enhance the total income of farmers' households. The results of this study indicate that planting bird's eye chili can provide an additional source of income for farmers, thereby increasing their total income. The research results show that the average profit received by chili farming on the rice field embankments is Rp. 1,080,000 per year. Based on the business feasibility calculations, the R/C ratio obtained is 3.9. It can be concluded that chili farming in the rice fields of Benteng Village, Patampanua District, Pinrang Regency is feasible for development.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role and reinforcement of local values, particularly the practice of kombong or mutual cooperation, in supporting the sustainability of Arabica coffee farming in the rural area of Gunung Latimojong, Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi. With a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) involving coffee farmers, community leaders, local government, and academics. The research results show that kombong plays an important role in maintaining social, economic, and ecological sustainability, as well as supporting operational efficiency through communal land management that does not rely on modern agricultural tools. However, modernization and the shift in interest of the younger generation towards other sectors are beginning to threaten the sustainability of these practices. These findings emphasize that the sustainability of coffee farming does not only depend on ecological and economic practices but also on the regeneration of local cultural values through the integration of relevant innovations to rekindle the interest of the younger generation. This conclusion expands the literature on sustainability based on local values and recommends cross-sectoral collaboration between the government, academics, and local communities to ensure that agriculture systems based on local wisdom remain adaptive amidst the challenges of modernization.

Abstract

Background: Ineffective waste management has become a serious problem in many areas, both urban and rural. Accumulating rubbish can pollute the environment, cause various diseases and damage the ecosystem. One effective approach to overcome this problem is through providing education about management and the establishment of community-based waste banks. Objective: Community service activities have the aim of providing education and empowering the community in waste management through the formation and management of waste banks. Method: This community service activity goes through several stages, namely identification and analysis of needs; discussions with village officials, community leaders and stakeholders; preparation of activity programs; material determination; preparation of facilities and infrastructure; providing education about waste management and socializing waste banks; establishing a waste bank management structure as well as monitoring and evaluation. Results: The result of this community service activity is an increase in community understanding about good waste management by 80% and the formation of 1 waste bank unit that can be utilized by the community as well as the formation of a management structure for waste bank management. It is hoped that by establishing a waste bank unit, the community will have access to a more structured waste management system, while also gaining economic benefits from inorganic waste management.

Abstract

Keberadaan manusia dalam organisasi memiliki posisi yang sangat vital. Keberhasilan organisasi sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas orang-orang yang bekerja di dalamnya. Perubahan lingkungan yang begitu cepat menuntut kemampuan sumber daya manusia dalam menangkap fenomena perubahan tersebut, menganalisa dampaknya terhadap organisasi dan menyiapkan langkah-langkah guna menghadapi kondisi tersebut. OIeh karena itu, peran manajemen sumber daya manusia dalam organisasi tidak hanya sekedar administratif tetapi justru lebih mengarah pada kemampuan mengembangkan potensi sumber daya manusia agar menjadi kreatif dan inovatif.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis Pengaruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai yang mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai Pertanahan Kota Pare pare. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan pada Kantor Pertanahan Kota Pare pare Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Kantor Pertanahan kota Pare pare sebanyak 38 orang. Jenis penelitian mengunakan analisis deskriptif, yakni dengan menilai seberapa besar makna dari jawaban yang diberikan pada masing-masing item pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor Pengetahuan,Keterampilan, Sikap Profesional, berpengaruh secara bersama-sama terhadap Kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Pertanahan Kota Pare pare . Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Keterampilan, Sikap.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi yang begitu pesat kini memungkinkan komputer menjalankan pengolahan berbasis kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence). Salah satu teknologi yang paling banyak dibicarakan saat ini adalah ChatGPT, perangkat pintar yang menggunakan teknik pembelajaran mendalam untuk meniru pemahaman dan respons manusia terhadap bahasa alami. Studi ini meneliti potensi ChatGPT untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kemanjuran proses pembelajaran melalui evaluasi literatur dari banyak publikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ChatGPT membantu siswa dan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas secara lebih efisien, penggunaannya harus disertai arahan agar tidak menurunkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, menulis, dan berkreasi. Pemanfaatan teknologi ini dapat membawa kemajuan dalam dunia pendidikan, tetapi penting untuk memastikan penerapannya sesuai dengan nilai-nilai etika dan menjaga privasi.

Abstract

Peningkatan retensi nitrogen pada lahan tembakau merupakan strategi penting peningkatan mutu dan produksi tembakau. Pupuk slow release dari biochar sumber nitrogen dari pupuk kimia, urin sapi dan bakteri diyakini mampu meningkatkan retensi nitrogen dan efisien serapan hara. Oleh karena itu kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan penggunaan pupuk slow release pada budidaya tembakau. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: 1) penyuluhan penggunaan bahan pembenah tanah; 2) pendampingan produksi pupuk slow release; 3) pendampingan pembibitan tembakau standar SNI; 4) demplot penerapan GAP pada budidaya tembakau; dan 5) pemantauan aplikasi pupuk slow release dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan partisipasi aktif petani dari 2 kelompok tani yakni Mamminasa Deceng dan Alemarajae serta perwakilan dari GAPOKTAN Ujung Rilau, dimana berhasil diproduksi pupuk slow release sebanyak tiga formula, yakni 1) Biochar + SP36; 2) Biochar + SP36 + urin sapi; dan 3) Biochar + SP36 + urin sapi + Azotobacter. Keempat formulasi pupuk telah distandarisasi oleh lembaga sertifikasi karbon internasional Biochar Life, sehingga dapat direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan di lahan pertanian khususnya lahan tembakau. Kata kunci: Bina desa, retensi nitrogen, efisiensi serapan hara, produktivitas. ABSTRACT Increasing nitrogen retention in tobacco fields is an important strategy to improve tobacco quality and production. Slow-release fertilizer from biochar, a source of nitrogen from chemical fertilizers, cow urine and bacteria, is believed to be able to increase nitrogen retention and efficient nutrient absorption. Therefore, this activity aims to implement the use of slow-release fertilizer in tobacco cultivation. The implementation methods of the activity include: 1) counseling on the use of soil conditioners; 2) assistance in the production of slow-release fertilizers; 3) assistance in the production of SNI standard tobacco; 4) demonstration plots for the application of GAP in tobacco cultivation and; 5) monitoring the application of slow-release fertilizers and plant growth. The results of the activity showed the active participation of farmers from 2 farmer groups, namely Mamminsa Deceng and Alemarajae, and representatives from GAPOKTAN Ujung Rilau, where three formulas of slow-release fertilizers were successfully produced, namely 1) Biochar + SP36; 2) Biochar + SP36 + Cow urine; and 3) Biochar + SP36 + Cow urine + Azotobacter. The four fertilizer formulations have been standardized by the international carbon certification body Biochar Life so that they can be recommended for application on agricultural land, especially tobacco land. Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adulthood, during which many physical and psychological developments occur. One of the physical developments that occur in children towards adolescence is menarche. Menarche is a condition in which a girl experiences her first menstruation or first menstrual bleeding through the birth canal as a sign of fertility. Menarche is a sign of sexual maturity in girls. Currently, children tend to experience menarche more quickly with an age range of 10-12 years. If this condition is not in line with the increase in children's knowledge about menarche, it will certainly cause feelings of anxiety, embarrassment, and not ready for the changes that are taking place. The purpose of doing this community service is to increase knowledge in children through counseling activities about readiness in dealing with early menarche. The results obtained are an increase in children's knowledge about readiness in facing menarche. The conclusion is that there is an effect of counseling on readiness in facing menarche on increasing knowledge in children
