Abstract

The implementation of this training was themed Utilization of Information and Communication Technology-Based Learning Media in Elementary Schools. The purpose of this training is to increase students' awareness of the importance of information and communication technology-based learning media in elementary schools. The training participants were students of SDN Ujong Patihah. The training participants took part in socialization in the form of lectures, discussions, and questions and answers regarding technology-based learning media. The output of this training is to open students' insights as the younger generation who live in the millennial era and in facing the industrial revolution 4.0, it is hoped that this will further improve technology-based learning media. In addition, the younger generation must also have qualified skills or abilities so that they can easily adapt to various technological developments, and not be increasingly left behind and lost in local and global competition. Technological developments have made it easier for the younger generation to learn both online and offline.

Abstract

Technological advances supported by human knowledge have a very good influence on data and information storage technology, including in predicting student graduation (Graduation Prediction) on time, by applying several existing algorithms. In this study, researchers used the C5.0 Algorithm and Linear Regression. The concept of the research is to compare two algorithms, namely C5.0 and Linear Regression to the case of graduating students on time. Based on the length of study, students who graduated correctly amounted to 651 (91%) with a male gender of 427 students and a female gender of 224 students while those who did not pass (late) correctly amounted to 64 (9%) with a male gender totaling 53 students and female gender totaling 11 students from 2017-2020. Comparison results The R2 score from the C5.0 algorithm reached 96.85% (training) and 93.

Abstract

The use of AI in language education has been widely discussed especially in identifying the teachers’ ability in utilizing AI in language teaching as well as how teachers perceive the utilization of AI are significant. To address these needs, the researchers used a TPACK survey instrument and semi-structured interview to assess 6 English teachers' ability to use AIEd at Islamic University of Ahmad Dahlan. Findings show that there are several challenges faced by the users of AIEd in English language courses such as (1) limited technological knowledge, (2) lack of training, (3) limited access to technological resources, (4) student skill levels, (5) policy and administrative constraints, as well as (6) curriculum changes and needs. Overall, the application of AIEd in language teaching in UIAD has the potential to significantly enhance learning outcomes for English learners by providing personalized, adaptive, and engaging learning experiences supported by data-driven insights and continuous improvement.

Abstract

This article describes optimizing the role of the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) in empowering the creative economy of women's craft groups in the East Aceh District and the obstacles encountered in empowerment. Data collection techniques used are: observation, interviews, and documentation. The Key Informants in this study were: Secretary of the Dekranasda, Chair of the Dekranasda, Treasurer of the East Aceh Dekranasda, and chair of the group of women craftsmen. The data analysis technique used after the data was collected was data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that optimizing the role of Dekranasda in empowering the creative economy of women craftsmen groups has grown a quite significant role. Dekranasda has a role as a motivator, facilitator, monitor, dynamicator, and marketing in the development of its handicraft products. These various roles still show optimal function. However, the role of marketing seems to be still not optimal due to the global impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and delays in the distribution of financial assistance. AbstrakArtikel ini membahas mengenai optimalisasi peran Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah (Dekranasda) dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi kreatif kelompok pengrajin perempuan di Kabupaten Aceh Timur dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam pemberdayaan tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Key Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah: Sekretaris Dekranasda, Ketua Dekranasda, Bendahara Dekranasda Aceh Timur, dan ketua kelompok pengrajin perempuan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan setelah data terkumpul adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi peran Dekranasda dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi kreatif kelompok pengrajin perempuan mengalami perkembangan peran yang cukup signifikan. Dekranasda memiliki peran sebagai motivator, fasilitator, pemantau, dinamisator, dan pemasaran dalam pengembangan produk kerajinannya. Berbagai peran tersebut masih menunjukkan fungsi yang optimal. Namun, peran pemasaran nampaknya masih belum optimal karena dampak global dari pandemi Covid-19 dan keterlambatan penyaluran bantuan keuangan.

Abstract

Matematika sebagai materi pelajaran yang memerlukan media visual dalam pembelajarannya. Presentasi ini bisa berupa gambar, grafik, tabel, notasi dansebagainya disesuaikan dengan materi yang diajarkan. Komputer dapat membantu siswa dan guru sebagai media dalam menyajikan presentasi yang sesuai, sehingga keabstrakan materi dapat dikurangi. Tujuan dari Pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa-siswi dalam penggunaan aplikasi Matlab dalam menyelesaikan persoalan-persoalan matematika yang dihadapi disekolah. Adapun metode kegiatan terdiri atas 2, yaitu metode ceramah, dimana instruktur memberikan arahan terhadap materi pelajaran kemudian dilanjutkan dengan memperlihatkan hasil pengoperasian dengan menggunakan aplikasi tersebut secara langsung.

Abstract

Teacher talk is as important in teaching English as a foreign language as it is in any other subject. Teacher talk is supposed to be the maximum exposure of target language in the classroom setting as a main pedagogic function employed as a medium of imparting metalanguage (Ellis, 2008). Through classroom observation with 32 students, this research investigates supportive teacher talk elements that inspire students to be responsive. They are 1) what kind of supportive teacher talk features to promote students’ responses in EFL Classroom; 2) what is the dominant type of supportive teacher talk features that promote students’ responses in EFL Classroom; and 3) how the students’ responses towards the supportive teacher talk features in EFL Classroom. The study's subject was an excellent English teacher who taught second-year students at a public senior high school in a range of English abilities. Field notes and recordings of classroom interactions on audio and video were used to gather the data. Findings revealed that in terms of classroom organization, the supportive teacher talk in EFL classrooms is in the form of the functions of classroom language, namely organization, interrogation, and interaction. The dominant form of supportive teacher talk that promotes students’ responses in an EFL classroom is interrogation. While the way the students responded to their teacher's talk mostly occurred when the teacher asked them questions.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi ajar sel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian yakni kelas XI F 8 yang terdiri atas 26 peserta didik. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Mataram. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni lembar tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menghitung persentase peningkatan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yakni sebesar 19%.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to apply the problem-based learning (PBL) model to improving students learning outcomes in class XI Science 7 SMA Negeri 1 Mataram for the 2023/2024 academic year. The type of research in this study was Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research subject is class XI Science 7 which consists of 37 students. Classroom action research was carried out in 3 cycles, namely pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The results obtained after carrying out classroom action research showed that there were changes to student learning outcomes. The pre-cycle showed that there were 13 students who got a score of ?80. In cycles I and II there was an increase, there were 24 students in cycle I and 32 students in cycle II. The classical completeness obtained for each cycle has increased. In cycle I obtained 64.86% in the good category. Meanwhile, in cycle II it obtained 86.49% in the very good category. Based on these data it can be concluded that the application of the PBL learning model can increase students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This case study examines teacher educators and student teachers’ experiences and perspectives in East Java, Indonesia, with the aim of investigating Extensive Listening (EL) integration to the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) as a prescribed language curriculum program. Data were collected from semi-structured interviews with the three teacher educators and six student teachers. The results revealed variations in how EL programs are practiced among various institutions, underscoring the necessity for a standardized curriculum to incorporate EL into language teaching programs. Teacher educators performed resourcefulness by creatively using online resources to compensate for the absence of formal EL training. The independent listening practices of student teachers emphasizing the importance of authentic materials that align with their personal interests, using technology to promote self-directed learning. This research serves as an initial exploration of the potential of EL in the ITE context in Indonesia. Both teacher educators and student teachers hold crucial roles in driving curriculum innovation by advocating for the acknowledgment and inclusion of EL within the language curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan aplikasi game quizizz mode paper pada pembelajaran tematik tema 8 di kelas V SDN 22 Ampenan tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket atau kuesioner, dokumentasi, dan tes. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif dan dan data kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 22 Ampenan dengan jumlah yaitu 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian secara umum menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase motivasi belajar siswa yaitu pra siklus memperoleh persentase 60% dengan kategori cukup (C), kemudian pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 76% dengan kategori baik (B) dan meningkat menjadi 84% pada siklus II dengan kategori baik (B) yang artinya bahwa aplikasi game Quizizz mode paper sangat efektif untuk digunakan sebagai peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SDN 22 Ampenan tahun ajaran 2023/2024.
