Abstract

Guru pasti dapat menjelaskan sebuah meteri kepada anak didiknya dengan lancar dan mudah dipahami oleh semua anak, bila pengajar mempunyai metode-metode yang baik. Beberapa metode tersebut diantaranya adalah keantusias para pengajar dalam menyampaikan materi dan persiapan materi yang akan diajarkan, pengajar seharusnya mempersiapkan materi terlebih dahulu yang akan diajarkan esok. Salah satu yang menjadi permasalahan pengajaran Bahasa Inggris adalah, guru dalam menyampaikan pengajarannya kepada anak, tidak mempersiapkan diri untuk menyampaikan materi, mungkin mereka merasa sudah tahu dan siap untuk mengajar anak didiknya. Tetapi yang terjadi justru sebaliknya, guru tidak dapat menjelaskan materi secara gamblang dan jelas, dan sulit dipahami oleh siswa. Permasalahan yang lainnya adalah kurangnya fasilitas-fasilitas yang memadai. Di sekolah-sekolah desa yang kebanyakan siswa adalah kurang mampu. Mereka kesulitan untuk membeli buku panduan, walau buku tersebut sebagai acuan mengajar. Tetapi alangkah baiknya buku tersebut dapat digunakan untuk membantu belajar dan memperbanyak latihan siswa. Sehingga semakin banyak mengerjakan soal-soal latihan, siswa semakain paham tentang aturan-aturan Bahasa Inggris, misalnya grammar dan macam-macam tenses. Fasilitas lainnya adalah alat model pembelajaran. Ketidakmampuan sekolah untuk membeli model alat pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa belajar Bahasa Inggris agar lebih mudah. Yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah tujuan yang utamanya dalam penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah efektivitas penerapan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa melakukan komunikasi berbahasa Inggris Kelas XI IPS 2 Semester I SMA Negeri 1 Kasiman Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Penerapan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris mampu meningkatkan kemampuan melakukan komunikasi berbahasa Inggris siswa kelas XI IPS 2 Semester I SMA Negeri 1 Kasiman Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Nilai hasil belajar rata-rata siswa Kelas XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kasiman yang diajar dengan Metode Diskusi dan tanya jawab selalu mengalami peningkatan pada tiap siklusnya karena siswa makin memahami materi Bahasa Inggris pokok bahasan Can Greed Ever Be Satisfied?. Berdasarkan data, didapat nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 59 sebelum siklus, yang diajar dengan Metode Diskusi dan tanya jawab adalah 67 pada siklus I, dan menjadi 74 pada siklus II, dan setelah akhir pembelajaran pada siklus III didapatkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 81.

Abstract

Exploring academic writing readiness is fundamental for EFL learners, underscoring the importance of refined measurement methods in global research. This study aims to assess the academic writing readiness of EFL learners and highlight the progress in the specifically designed measurement instrument. The study employed Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) on 107 undergraduates in English studies to validate an academic instrument. Participants were selected for diverse experiences and underwent the survey in their usual classroom. CFA assessed factorial, convergent, and discriminant validity. Cronbach's alpha measured consistency, and data was analyzed using AMOS software. Adjustments were made when model discrepancies arose. The findings indicate that (1) the English Academic Writing Readiness scale dimensions encompass vocabulary, grammar, structure, formatting, and time management. (2) The structural equation model highlights five dimensions with respective factor loadings between 0.50 and 0.89. (3) The theoretical model aligns with observed data, supported by RMSEA, AGFI, TLI, and CFI. (4) The instrument reliably assesses five English Academic Writing Readiness dimensions. The findings imply refined pedagogical strategies for English academic writing instruction

Abstract

The study examined the role of self-efficacy and self-regulated learning on the effect of self-directed learning on academic writing problem-solving for EFL undergraduates. The study applied a cross-sectional design to evaluate 213 students from the Departments of English Education and English Literature of a private university in Malang, Indonesia. Participants aged 18 to 24 years were randomly selected to ensure representative samples. This study assessed undergraduate students' writing problem-solving using custom instruments inventory of problem-solving in academic writing. Self-directed learning, self-efficacy,  and self-regulated learning are evaluated on different scales. Methods such as confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation models are used to ensure the instrument's validity and reliability. The study found that self-directed learning had a significant impact on self-efficacy and self-regulated learning and on writing problem-solving. The study also found an important relationship between self-directed learning and the ability of EFL undergraduates to solve academic writing problems through self-efficacy and self-regulated learning. This research contributes to ongoing discussions on the relevance of self-directed learning for personal and professional development. It encourages re-evaluating educational and organizational strategies to maximize self-directed learning's benefits and minimize potential challenges.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the relationship between learning motivation (LM) and self-efficacy (SE) in English learning outcomes for EFL learners. LM and SE have significantly related to EFL learners’ learning outcomes. However, there is a need to thoroughly examine learning outcomes in language learning, particularly considering variations in students’ LM. This study aims to conduct a meta-analysis of correlation studies to evaluate the interaction of LM and SE on EFL students' learning outcomes. The evidence for the relationship between LM and SE in EFL students was analyzed using a meta-analysis. The study found that a random model was utilized, and the magnitude of the effect was exceptionally great (d.0576). The meta-analysis computed 11 effects, and the variable analysis moderator examined the study's source, sample size, student major, language learning target, educational level, and instrument type.

Abstract

Cyber grooming merupakan salah satu bentuk kekerasan seksual dengan memanfaatkan media virtual. Teman sebaya berpengaruh besar dalam membentuk karakter remaja, memberikan hubungan positif maupun negatif dalam perkembangannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keterkaitan antara dukungan dari teman sebaya dengan tingkat pemahaman mengenai cyber grooming pada siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian dekriptif korelasional hubungan. Populasi penelitian melibatkan siswa SMP yang berjumlah 768 siswa, mengambil sample 20% dari total populasi secara random sampling dengan mengambil 20% dari total populasi, sebanyak 154 siswa. Instrumen dalam bentuk angket cyber grooming sebanyak 33 item dan dukungnan teman sebaya 23 item dikembangkan dengan skala psikologis (Likert scale) dan teknik analisis data dengan uji korelasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara dukungan dari teman sebaya dan pemahaman mengenai cyber grooming pada siswa SMP, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,261 yang melebihi nilai r tabel sebesar 0,1572 dan nilai signifikansi dua arah (Sig. 2-tailed) adalah 0,001 yang lebih rendah dari 0,05. Cyber grooming is a form of sexual violence that exploits virtual media. Peer influence plays a significant role in shaping the character of adolescents, contributing both positively and negatively to their development. This study aims to reveal the relationship between peer support and the level of understanding of cyber grooming among junior high school students. It employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. The study population involves 768 junior high school students, with a sample of 20% of the total population selected through random sampling, amounting to 154 students. The instrument used is a cyber grooming questionnaire with 33 items and peer support questionnaire with 23 items, developed using a psychological scale (Likert scale) and data analysis technique with correlation test. The findings of this study indicate that there is a significant correlation between peer support and understanding of cyber grooming among junior high school students, with a correlation value of 0.261 exceeding the table r value of 0.1572, and a two-tailed significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001, which is lower than 0.05.

Abstract

Competency development for teachers is a necessary task that every teacher should undertake. Teacher competency development is intended to enhance teachers' skills and support the smooth execution of tasks. MIN 1 Mojokerto can continue to a higher level of education, whether it is above the current level or the next, whether public or private. These skills are not spared by the teacher competency development training activities that have been provided to teachers, which then have a positive impact on the learning provided to students, resulting in increased learning outcomes. Based on the explanation above, the researcher developed the research title "Training Activity Program in Teacher Competency Development, Min 1 Mojokerto." With a research focus on the training in MIN 1 Mojokerto and how the training results are implemented. 1) What is the competence of the teachers at MIN 1 Mojokerto? 2) What is the program process for training activities at MIN 1 Mojokerto? Using a descriptive qualitative approach. This research yielded the following findings: Mojoketo MIN 1 teachers possess competencies in pedagogic, personality, and social competence. This result will be achieved through several achievement process activities undertaken by Mojokerto MIN 1 to improve teacher competence, namely: monthly performance evaluation, KKG training/MGMP, and Delegation of Training and Seminar Activities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penyiapan pembelajaran PAI berbasis E-learning, upaya meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI berbasis E-learning. Penelitian dilakukan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 dan 2 Kota Bogor, sejak Januari sampai April 2022. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa, sampel ditentukan dengan non probibilitas, pengambilan datanya dengan wawancara yang mendalam dan divalidasi dengan Peer debriefing kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriftip. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penyiapan E-learning telah dilakukan oleh guru sejak awal sebelum mulai pembelajaran dilaksanakan, upaya peningkatan pemahaman materi PAI dan menumbuhkan motivasi dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa secara bersama-sama.

Abstract

PT Indonesia Power adalah salah satu perusahaan besar di Indonesia yang memiliki fokus sebagai penyedia tenaga listrik dan jasa operasi dan pemeliharaan pembangkit listrik yang mengoperasikan pembangkit. Ruang lingkup kajian ini adalah melakukan pengamatan dan pengelolaan keanekaragaman hayati yang berada di area pembangkit PT Indonesia Power Semarang yang terletak pada 6°57''8.46"S dan 110°25''49.30"E. Area Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas Semarang atau Pelindo III. Pelaksanaan pengumpulan data telah dilakukan pada tanggal 24 November 2021, 29 November 2021 dan 2 Desember 2021. Desain Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif. Kelompok flora dibedakan berdasarkan tipe habitusnya, meliputi pohon, pancang dan tiang, perdu serta herba. Berdasarkan status perlindungan/konservasinya, diketahui tidak ada jenis yang dilindungi menurut Permen LHK Nomor 106 Tahun 2018, 62 jenis masuk dalam kategori IUCN Red List, dan 6 jenis terdaftar dalam CITES apendiks II. Kelompok fauna yang telah diidentifikasi, meliputi kelompok burung, kupu-kupu dan capung. Berdasarkan status perlindungan/konservasinya, mengacu Permen LHK Nomor 106 Tahun 2018 terdapat 3 (tiga) jenis burung yang dilindungi, 50 jenis masuk dalam kategori IUCN Red List, dan tidak ada jenis yang terdaftar dalam CITES.
