Abstract

This writing analyzes the position of consumers who are harmed due to the use of illegal erectile dysfunction drugs in consumer protection law, as well as the accountability of business actors towards consumers harmed by the use of illegal erectile dysfunction drugs.. This writing is composed using a normative juridical research method (a normative doctrinal approach) that essentially examines the internal aspects of positive law. In order to protect consumers who become victims of the actions of illegal strong drug traders, the Government, through the Consumer Protection Act, provides legal protection in the form of both preventive and repressive legal protection. Preventive legal protection is protection provided to consumers with the aim of preventing disputes or issues. As for repressive protection efforts that can be taken in connection with the practice of production and trade of illegal strong drugs in Indonesia, it involves optimizing litigation and non-litigation avenues. Repressive legal protection aims to resolve disputes or conflicts that have already occurred. Provisions regarding the resolution of consumer protection disputes through litigation are stated in Pasal 45 of the Undang-Undang Perlindungan Konsumen, while for the resolution of non-litigation disputes, BAB XI of the Undang-Undang Perlindungan Konsumen states that it can be done through the Consumer Dispute Resolution Board or Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen (BPSK).

Abstract

Emotion plays a crucial role in human communication, and recognizing emotions from speech (Speech Emotion Recognition or SER) has broad applications in various fields. This study designs and implements a speech emotion recognition application to support tourism promotion events in Majalengka. A 1D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model is developed using public SER datasets (RAVDESS, CREMA-D, SAVEE, TESS) combined and augmented to improve cultural generalization. Key audio features, such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), are extracted for effective emotion classification. The resulting system achieves an accuracy of 74.4% on test data, successfully recognizing emotions like angry, sad, neutral, and happy with good precision. This automated emotion analysis assists judges in evaluating participants’ speeches objectively and efficiently. The integration of SER technology in tourism events demonstrates an innovative strategy to enhance the promotion of local culture and improve the overall visitor experience in Majalengka.

Abstract

Abstract

Myasthenic crisis is a severe acute complication of myasthenia gravis (MG) characterized by respiratory and bulbar muscle insufficiency due to impaired neuromuscular transmission, with pathogenesis involving autoantibodies targeting acetylcholine receptors (AChR), muscle-specific kinase (MuSK), and low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4 (LPR4) that disrupt the integrity of the neuromuscular junction. This review aims to examine the immunobiological mechanisms of myasthenic crisis and explore the potential of modern biotechnological therapies and tropical bioactive compounds as adaptive treatment strategies for tropical populations. A comprehensive literature review was conducted focusing on genetic factors, tropical environmental influences, and advancements in molecular therapies. Genetic factors, including HLA class II and non-HLA genes, interact with tropical environmental conditions such as endemic infections, high temperature, extreme humidity, air pollution, and vitamin D deficiency, potentially exacerbating immune dysregulation and increasing crisis risk. Modern molecular therapies, including rituximab (anti-CD20), eculizumab (anti-C5), and efgartigimod (FcRn inhibitor), have demonstrated efficacy in reducing pathogenic autoantibodies and improving neuromuscular function, while tropical bioactive compounds such as curcumin and andrographolide show potential as adjuvant immunomodulators. Integrating biotechnological approaches with tropical bioprospecting provides a more adaptive and sustainable therapeutic strategy aligned with the biological characteristics of tropical populations. It is recommended that further clinical studies evaluate the safety, optimal dosing, and long-term efficacy of combined biotechnological and bioactive therapies in these populations.

Abstract

Water quality is a critical determinant of ecosystem sustainability and the productivity of freshwater aquaculture. This study performed a systematic literature review (SLR) to assess the impact of water quality on the growth, health, and yield of freshwater fish. The research examines contemporary technical advancements, such as Internet of Things (IoT) systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), machine learning prediction models, and biotechnological methods for monitoring and managing water quality. The literature selection procedure employed the PRISMA framework and encompassed 136 articles sourced from the SCOPUS database. Following rigorous screening processes, three primary publications were chosen for additional examination. The review findings indicate that parameters like dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, ammonia, and temperature significantly influence fish health and production. Contemporary technologies, such IoT and UAVs, have demonstrated their capacity to enhance the effectiveness of water quality monitoring, whilst biotechnology provides novel options for the sustainable treatment of aquaculture waste. This research offers significant insights for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners in the advancement of more efficient and sustainable aquaculture methodologies.
