Abstract

Abstract One of the diseases that often attack are fish is parasitic disease caused by Lernaea cyprinacea, called Lernaeosis. This ectoparasites could be detected on skin, gill, eyes, fin or inside of mouth and nostril of fishes. The aim of the study was to know the character is tic of L.cyprinacea protein based on molecular weight using SDS-PAGE. The results of this study were expected as Lernaeosis vaccine candidate. The experiment used SDS-PAGE with 12% separating gel, 3% stacking gel, voltage 110 volts 28 A and gel staining using coomassie blue. The result showed that, there were eight protein bands with molecular weight 82.3, 73.3, 66.6, 60.5, 54.9, 27.5, 23.1 and 19.8 kDa. Among them, the bands with molecular weight 27.5, 23.1 and 19.8 kDa were thicker and clearer than the others.

Abstract

AbstractOne of the disease attack of freshwater fish is micrococcus which caused by Micrococcus luteus bacterial. Antibiotic was caused of residual, polluted and expensive. Therefore, it was looked for alternative using natural and safety materials. The study used the fruit extract of adas as antibacterial to Micrococcus luteus. This experiment purpose to investigate of Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) of fruit extract of adas to Micrococcus luteus. The study was done on 15 June-05 July 2009 on Development Center of Quarantine Fish Juanda; Institute Tropical Disease, Airlangga University Surabaya; and Department of Faculty Pharmacology of Medicine, Airlangga University Surabaya. The experiment was used experimental method which completely randomized design with twelve treatments and three replicates. The parameters observed were Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC). The data analyzed used F test and was continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The result indicated that fruit extract of adas had antibactericidal to Micrococcus luteus. According to  inhibitory test growth of bacterial had inhibitory capacity (MIC) at concentration 1,56% (0,018 g/ml). Therefore, the bactericidal capacity (MBC) was at concentration 3,13% (0,036 g/ml).

Abstract

AbstractOne of them is the problem of disease Argulus sp. is ektoparasite which often attacked in activity of good conducting of sea water and also freshwater. Argulus sp. attacking at part of fin, husk, gill and entire all its body exterior of him. attacked by fish is Argulus sp. will seen is thin, often rub body and arise red pock which later can generate secondary infection. Utilize to prove the existence of bacterium which emerge effect of lession (secondary infection) which because of bite of Argulus sp. that is by identifying bacterium and biochemical test. Media which used in identifying bacterium for example that is TSA (Tryptic Soy Agar), TSIA (Triple Soy Iron Agar), MIO (Motility Indol Ornithin), O/F medium (Oksidative/Fermentative), sugar test medium (maltosa, laktosa, arabinosa, inositol, manitol, sukrosa). Target of this research is to know the existence of gram negative bacterium and gram negative bacterium any kind of which is found at fish hurt of gold fish (Carassius auratus) effect of infestation by ectoparasite Argulus sp. Research which is use descriptive method. That is with infestation of Argulus sp. into containing aquarium of gold fish counted 1 tail and Argulus sp. counted 5, 10, 15, 20 tail. After Argulus sp. patch all at gold fish is later then perceived until gold fish arise lession effect of bite of Argulus sp. is afterwards identifyed by bacterium to know the bacterium that were formed on gold fish lesions. The result showed that the lesions of gold fish, isolation at TSA medium and identified by biochemical test to diagnose bacteriums found on gold fish lession. Identifications of the three gram negative bacterium as follow : Aeromonas hydrophilla, Pseudomonas flourescens, Flexibacter columnaris while for the Edwardsiella tarda was not be found in this study

Abstract

AbstractThe chromosome manipulation in fish is one of the strategy that will be used to produce of the high generation and good quality in its genetics, as follow fast to grow, disease resistant, high survival, tolerate with environment exchange and easy to be cultured. One of manipulation chromosome the method in fish used thermal temperature shock. The aim of the study was to know the thermal temperature shock and the time after fertilization forward hatching rate and abnormality of nile fish larvae and also to know the thermal temperature shock and the time after fertilization that resulted the best hatching rate and abnormality in nile fish larvae. The method was Factorial Completed Randomized Design as experimental design. The treatment used temperatures shock were 40ºC, 41ºC and 42ºC as long as 2,5 minutes, with the time of 80, 85 and 90 minutes after fertilization, each treatment was four replications. The primary parameter was hatching rate and abnormality of nile fish larvae and the secondary parameter were fertilization and water quality. The result showed that the thermal temperature shock was significantly influenced to hatch rate and abnormality, but the time of shocking after fertilization and the interaction between them showed were not significantly influenced to hatch rate and abnormality. The highest of hatching rate and abnormality percentage was showed by the treatment with shocking 40°C was 90,77 percent and 2,60 percent.

Abstract

Background: Family of Anisakidae is one of the zoonotic helminth parasitics. The distribution of the family Anisakidae is extensive. It needs to be known because the diversity of parasites can provide information about the distribution area and impact of the parasites of the family Anisakidae in Indonesia. This review article summarises the distribution of parasites from the family Anisakidae that infects marine fish and the factors that influence Indonesia. Methods: This research is qualitative research through literature study as the main object. The data from the literature study results are presented in tables and figures then explained descriptively. Results: The distribution of Anisakidae in Indonesia is found in four genera, namely the genus Anisakis, Pseudoterranova, Terranova and Contracaecum, which are mostly found from the carnivorous marine fish of the family Balistidae, Carangidae, Epinephelidae, Lutjanidae, Priacanthidae, and Scombridae Conclusions: Four genera of endoparasitic worms from the Anisakidae family were reported to infect Indonesian marine fish, including Anisakis, Pseudoterranova, Terranova and Contracaecum. Temperature, salinity, hosts' presence, and anthropogenic factors are biotic and abiotic factors that can affect the distribution of Anisakidae. The information on this literature study results is hoped to be used as the basis for developing research in fish parasitology in particular and increasing public awareness of fish processing in general.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are one of the traditional Islamic-based educational institutions that study Islamic religious sciences as their main study and apply them as daily charity. In terms of the curriculum, Islamic boarding schools no longer only provide religious education, but currently Islamic boarding schools provide additional subjects such as scouting, martial arts and entrepreneurship; both in the field of plantations, catering, sewing, cooperatives and others. Fishery product processing training is one of the methods to support economic independence in the form of entrepreneurship in Islamic boarding schools. Processing of fishery products is an activity that is carried out in stages, sequentially, cleanly and hygienically, and fulfills the quality requirements in order to convert raw fishery products into final products. The target of this community service activity is to form a fishery product processing business activity at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Surabaya that is solid and able to compete in the market continuously so as to make the Islamic boarding school an independent institution and have a sustainable business. The method used is the method of approach that is carried out, among others, namely the Participatory method. The results that have been obtained from this activity are the increased knowledge of Islamic boarding school students on the importance of sanitation and handling of fishery products (processed products in the form of fish nuggets and dragon feet). The activity was attended by 40 students, with education levels, namely junior high and high school. As many as 90% of the participants in the Fishery Products Handling Technique training wanted further activities to increase their knowledge in the field of handling fishery products.

Abstract

Sampah anorganik adalah salah satu jenis sampah yang tidak bisa terurai oleh tanah membutuhkan waktu yang lama hingga ratusan tahun untuk dapat terurai. Sifat sampah anorganik yang susah terurailah menyebabkan berbagai masalah dan produksi sampah setiap tahunnya terus bertambah. Perlunya pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga memanfaatkan sampah organik menjadi kompos, sampah anorganik berupa botol, kaleng dll sebagai media tanam. Kompos untuk pupuk tanaman yang ditanam di pekarangan atau dalam pot. Kegiatan bersama mahasiswa dengan memberikan penyuluhan menjelaskan tentang pemilahan, pengelolaan sampah organic, anorganik rumah tangga, penanaman dengan menggunakan barang bekas. Keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga sebagai salah satu upaya gerakan peduli lingkungan pemerintah setempat, pendidikan pada usia dini sampai perguruan tinggi. Perlunya kampanye berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang dampak negatif limbah anorganik. Pemanfaatan media tanam dalam menyediakan sumber pangan lokal menggunakan tempat atau wadah seperti botol plastik, kaleng bekas sebagai media tanam. Kegiatan pengumpulan sampah anorganik dengan melibatkan generasi muda sebagai salah satu sarana Pendidikan tentang pengelolaan sampah, pemantauan berkala cara melakukan pemilahan sampah anorganik agar dapat digunakan sebagai media tanam. Membuat desain pengolahan daur ulang sampah anorganik yang sesuai dengan jenis tanaman. Kesimpulan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga sebagai gerakan peduli lingkungan berkelanjutan, peran pemerintah setempat, pendidikan usia dini sampai perguruan tinggi. Pengelolaan sampah dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi terhadap remaja untuk memulai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat yang dimulai dari diri sendiri. Berbagai macam tanaman cabai, tomat, daun bawang ditanam dalam wadah bekas, pemupukan menggunakan kompos yang sudah dibuat oleh salah satu warga.

Abstract

Kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3) merupakan masalah umum yang ada di Indonesia dan sering kali diabaikan. Hal ini dikarenakan masih ada pekerja yang abai dan tidak patuh dalam pemakaian penggunaan K3, sehingga risiko kecelakaan kerja masih sering terjadi. Jasa konstruksi merupakan salah satu faktor risiko terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Jumlah tenaga kerja yang relatif berpendidikan rendah, bahkan ada sebagian tenaga kerja yang belum pernah mendapatkan Pendidikan formal. Penelitian mengenai Kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja ini berdasarkan pada pedoman yang sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku terkait jasa konstruksi di Indonesia dan undang–undang yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah. Pada penelitian ini peneliti melakukan survey dan wawancara langsung untuk mengetahui kemungkinan risiko kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja serta memberikan solusi tepat terhadap risiko K3 pada pembangunan proyek jalan tol Semarang – Demak. Hasil dari penelitian ini masih terdapat pekerja yang kurang paham, kurang mengetahui pentingnya K3, bagaimana penggunaan K3, pengertian K3, tujuan K3 dan lain sebagainya. Hal ini kurang adanya respon dan komitmen serta kesadaran dari semua pihak yang terkait tentang K3 dalam pembangunan proyek konstruksi.

Abstract

Membran komposit geopolimer dibuat dengan memanfaatkan kandungan silika dalam limbah fly ash batubara yang dikompositkan alumina (Al2O3) yang berfungsi sebagai material substitusi dan adsorben dalam proses filtrasi dengan membran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat membran keramik berbasis fly ash menggunakan metode slip casting yang dikalsinasi dengan suhu 1200oC, selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji pengaruh komposisi alumina dan fly ash terhadap sifat membran keramik serta menguji kinerja membran dengan karakterisasi menggunakan uji kuat tekan membran permeabilitas dan uji morfologi memban dengan SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi terbaik melalui SEM, terlihat bahwa membran keramik memiliki permukaan kasar dengan pori-pori yang tidak teratur, berukuran antara 0,001-0,13 µm. Uji mekanik membuktikan bahwa membran memiliki kuat tekan tertinggi sebesar 65,45 kg/cm2 dengan perlakuan sintering pada suhu 1200°C.

Abstract

Air tanah merupakan kebutuhan utama sebagai sumber kehidupan bagi setiap makhluk hidup di bumi, sehingga tanpa adanya air maka kehidupan tidak dapat berjalan dengan selaras. Air tanah adalah air yang berada di dalam tanah dibagi menjadi dua, air tanah dangkal dan air tanah dalam. Air tanah dangkal merupakan air yang berasal dari air hujan yang diikat oleh akar pohon, terletak tidak jauh dari permukaan tanah serta berada diatas lapisan kedap air. Metode deksriptif menggambarkan masalah yang terjadi dan metode pelaksanaan berupa survey primer pendataan sebaran potensi mata air, survey sekunder yaitu pendataan data dalam bentuk dokumen. Simpulan potensi daerah rawan kekeringan di Kabupaten Banjarnegara secara umum didominasi oleh rendah hingga sedang sebanyak 79%. Sedangkan potensi daerah rawan kekeringan tinggi teridentifikasi hanya sebanyak 31%. untuk potensi daerah rawan kekeringan tinggi ini paling banyak tersebar di Kecamatan Pagedongan, Kecamatan Punggelan, Kecamatan Susukan. Penyebab kekeringan di Kabupaten Banjarnegara yaitu pola curah hujan yang tidak teratur, jenis tanah yang tidak dapat menampung air, penggunaan air tanah yang berlebihan, belum adanya sarana pendukung seperti bak penampung air. Dampak dari kekeringan di Banjarnegara kekurangan air, kesehatan, penurunan produksi pertanian, masalah pangan, konflik air, pengaruh terhadap lingkungan, gangguan pada sektor industri, kerusakan infrastruktur.
