Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui karakteristik; 2) menguji kelayakan dan; 3) menguji keefektifan penggunaan, pada modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi konten pada materi sistem pencernaan kelas XI. Penelitian dan pengembangan modul menggunakan prosedur Borg & Gall (1983) yang telah dimodifikasi. Data kemampuan literasi sains dimensi konten dianalisis dengan N-Gain ternormalisasi untuk mengetahui keefektifan modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan: 1) modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi konten pada materi sistem pencernaan dikembangkan sesuai dengan tahapan bounded inquiry lab; 2) kelayakan modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab dikategorikan sangat baik; 3) keefektifan modul yang dikembangkan dibuktikan dengan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan ada perbedaan dalam literasi sains dimensi konten sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan memiliki probabilitas (p) sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), Ho ditolak.  This research aimed: 1) to find out the characteristics; 2) to test the feasibility and; 3) to investigate the effectiveness of module based on bounded inquiry lab to improve students’ scientific literacy of content dimension on digestive system material of grade XI. This research used procedure of research and development (R&D) by Borg & Gall (1983) that was modified. Data of students’ scientific literacy of content dimension were analyzed by using normalized N- Gain to investigate the effectiveness of module-based on bounded inquiry lab. The research results showed: 1) the module-based on bounded inquiry lab to improve students’ scientific literacy of content dimension on digestive system material was developed in accordance with the syntax of bounded inquiry lab; 2) the feasibility of module-based on bounded inquiry lab was at very good category; 3) the effectiveness of the developed module-based on bounded inquiry lab was proved by Wilcoxon test that showed the differences in students’s scientific literacy of content dimension between before and after learning by using module-based on bounded inquiry lab with probability (p) of 0.000 (p <0.05), Ho was rejected.

Abstract

West is always grounded in empirical reality invites a number of intriguing questions, what about the non-empirical reality. Is not the reality that there is as it says in the Qur'an that genie natural and supernatural realm exists, it is not possible to study and produce a useful theory for the benefit of the people? Or whether people recognize the truth of non-empirical or metaphysical as a scientific truth that can be accounted for? Is actually a series of questions can be summarized into the question of: How epistemology of psychology Islam as a new scientific study? A series of actions in the framework of realization of the vision described the psychology of Islam as madhhab to five wanted to put a clear identity and firm, without mixed with Western psychology in terms of concept, the study and its methodology.

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The purpose of this research was to improve the motivation and achievement of students in class XI-IPA III of SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali in the academic year 2011/2012 through the implementation of Guided Inquiry learning model with Roundhouse techniques in learning Biology. This reseach was a Classroom Action Research. The reseach was conducted in several cycles, consisiting of planning, action, observation, and reflection to the subjects which were the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Teras in the academic year 2011/2012. The data was collected through questionnaires, observation, tests, and interviews. In analyzing the data, the researcher used several methods: the motivational data validation used triangulation observer, and the cognitive learning outcomes used logical validations which were content and construct, while the affective and psychomotor observer used observation sheets. The data was analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. The result of the research showed that according to the data observation sheet, questionnaire ,and test results, the average percentage of motivational aspect increased from 68.91% in pre-cycle to 73.58% in cycle I and had improved to 76.40% in cycle II. In terms of cognitive learning achievement, it increased from 65.22% in pre-cycle to  71.71% in cycle I and had improved to 83.42% in cycle II. In terms of affective learning, it increased from 53.67% in pre-cycle to 72.31% in cycle I and had improved to 82.17% in cycle II. In terms of psychomotor learning, it was 71.19% in cycle I and increased to 78.09% in cycle II. The conclusion of this research is the application of Guided Inquiry learning model with roundhouse technique can improve the motivation and learning outcomes of students in class XI-IPA III of SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali in the academic year 2011/2012.   Keywords: Learning motivation, Learning Outcomes, Guided Inquiry with Roundhouse technique

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The aim of this research is improve quality of biology learning for teacher?s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom, classroom climate, science attitude of student, and student motivation of achievement in student class X.7 in 2th senior high school of Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012. This research belongs to classroom action research consist of three cycle and each have four phases, namely  planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The collecting data of research uses questionnaire, observation, and interview. Validation data uses triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The research uses analyzed descriptively.  The result in cycles I describes that generally the research target is not achieve yet that showed teacher?s performance indicators are 86,67%, classroom climate indicators are 72,79%, science attitude of students in class are 69,12%, and motivation of achievement in students are 68,63%. The result in cycles II describes that the research target is not achieve yet optimally that showed teacher?s performance indicators are 96,67%, classroom climate indicators are 78,67%, science attitude of students in class are 75,98%,  and motivation of achievement in students are 74,18%. The result in cycles III describes that the research target is completely achieve and showed that teacher?s performance indicators are 100%,  , classroom climate  indicators are 91,18%, science attitude of students in class are 84,31%, and motivation of achievement in students are 84,31% and utility of learning facilities in the classroom have been optimally. Cycles stopped in cycles III because the research target is achieved. The conclusion of this research describes that the implementation of inductive thinking learning model based science process skills can improve  quality of biology learning for  teacher?s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom,  classroom climate, science attitude of student, and motivation of achievement in student of class X.7 in 2th senior high school of Karanganyar year 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? It already been  known that biology as a branch of science will emphasizes on  how to think critically to gain most of its basic concepts. Hence, the weaknesses of mastering this kind of skill will be followed by the unsuccessful mastering of its concepts respectively. Factual phenomenon observed towards high school student of the grade of  XI of Assalam Islamic Boarding School in academic year  2011/2012 showed  that student performing a teacher centered classical learning. Student has never induced and  motivated to be a real learner. This, makes student are unable to perform good critical thinking skill. This is real problem in this class that needs to be solved trough particular strategy.  Blended learning is expected to be an effective strategy since  it facilitates both, student centered learning and optimizing the use of ICT based learning. This research is aimed to ascertain 1) blended learning implementation in biological learning process, 2) blended learning implementation in biological learning process. This research belongs to classroom action research  consist of four cycle and each have four phases, namely planning, actuating, observing and reflecting. The subject of the research is XI IPA 4 Putra students at SMA RSBI Pondok Pesantren Modern Islam Assalaam Sukoharjo in academic year 2011/2012. The data was collected by test and non test technique, it was carried out by using essay test,  observation sheet, questionnaire, and interview. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive approach and validated through triangulation method. The results showed that the average percentage of critical thinking aspect from essay test, such as the 1st cycle 56,82%, the 2nd cycle 61,93%, the 3rd cycle 68,94% and the 4th  cycle 75,75%. Therefore, it can be concluded that 1) blended learning could be applied in biological learning process, 2) blended learning could be used to improve critical thinking. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research aims to improve  low quality of biology  in class X.2 SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012. Learning considered by  teacher?s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom, classroom climate, student?s scientific attitude, and student motivation of achievement applying for approach Contextual Teaching and Learning with Problem Posing model.  This research was a classroom action research which and performed  in three  cycles. Each  cycle  consisted  of  4  phases, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data  was  collected Tes and Non Tes by question, questionnaire, observation,  and manual interview. Data validation was used triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive technique.  The results of this research showed that according triangulation the average percentage for  teacher?s performance in  pre cycle (60%), cycle I (86,67%), cycle II  (96,67%) and cycle III (100%);  classroom climate  pre cycle (54,16%), cycle I (68,05%), cycle II (76,38%) and cycle III (86,80%);  student?s scientific attitude    pre cycle (50,92%), cycle I (65,27%), cycle II (74,07%) and cycle III (83,79%); and  student motivation of achievement  pre cycle (57,71%), cycle I (65,75%), cycle II (74,38%) and cycle III (85,80%);  utility of learning facilities in the classroom have been optimally. The  results  showed  that  the  average  percentage  quality of   biology  learning  aspect such as  pre cycle (55,69%),  cycle I (71,43%), cycle II (80,37%) and cycle III (89,09%) (increase 33,4% from pre cycle to cycle III).  Cycles stopped in cycle III because the research target is achieved. The conclusion of this research describes that  the implementation of approach contextual teaching and learning with problem posing model  can improve quality of  biology  learning  considered by  teacher?s performance, utility  of facilities in the classroom,  classroom  climate,  student?s scientific attitude,  and student motivation of achievement in class X.2 at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research aimed to determine: (1) The effect of Science Technology Society (STS) model with Mind Map  technique  to Biology learning achivement grade 10th of at SMAN Colomadu Academic Year 2011/2012, (2) The effect of the application of STS model with Mind Map  technique to environmental attitudes of 10th of students at SMAN Colomadu Academic Year 2011/2012. This research was Quasy Experimental Research used  The Randomized Control Group Posttest Design. The population of this research were all students of SMA Colomadu Academic Year 2011/2012. The sample of this research was by cluster random sampling. The samples for this research was grade 10th.6 as the control classes with using various oral model with simple summary practice and grade 10th.2 as experimental class are using the STS learning model with the Mind Map  technique. The data collection techniques is by documentation techniques, observation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The technique of data analysis using the descriptive statistics and the inferential statistics with using t-test to test the hypothesis with the succor of SPSS 16. Based on the research can be concluded: (1) There is a significant effect of STS model with Mind Map  technique on Biology learning achievement grade 10th  at  SMAN Colomadu Academic Year 2011/2012  with cognitive significant value 0000; psychomotor domain  0.000, and affective domain 0.019  (2) There is significant effect  of  STS  model with  Mind Map  technique on  environmental attitudes  of class X at SMAN Colomadu Academic Year 2011/2012 with significant value 0.002. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada kegiatan lesson study ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar  mahasiswa di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi pada mata kuliah Anatomi dan Morfologi Tumbuhan.  Hasil akhir yang diharapkan adalah semua kompetensi dasar dan standar kompetensi bisa dicapai. Aktivitas belajar yang diharapkan meningkat terutama adalah (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan, (3) kemampuan  bekerja sama dalam tim, (4)  kedisiplinan. Lesson Study dilakukan dengan menerapkan  problem solving dalam perkuliahan dan dilakukan dalam 4 kali siklus yang masing-masing terdiri dari  kegiatan Plan, Do dan See.  Plan dilakukan oleh dosen model dan observer untuk menganalisis kebutuhan dan permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam perkuliahan dan mempersiapkan semua instrumen dan perangkat kuliah yang diyakini mampu membelajarkan mahasiswa secara efektif serta membangkitkan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran. Produk dalam kegiatan plan adalah jadwal pelaksanaan plan, do dan see, RPP, materi, media, dan alat evaluasi. Kegiatan selanjutnya adalah kegiatan open class, yaitu kegiatan tatap muka di kelas yang diampu oleh dosen model dan dimonitor keterlaksanaannya oleh para observer. Setelah itu dosen model dan para observer melakukan refleksi berdasarkan open class yang baru saja dilakukan, mendiskusikan masalah dan cara penanggulangannya agar siklus selanjutnya lebih baik pencapaiannya. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan lesson study selama 4 siklus didapatkan bahwa penggunaan model problem solving melalui lesson study pada pembelajaran Anatomi dan Morfologi Tumbuhan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa pada setiap tahapan siklus, yang ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan, (3) kemampuan  bekerja sama dalam tim, dan (4)  kedisiplinan.  Selain itu juga terdapat peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh dosen, baik dalam persiapan pembelajaran maupun keterampilan melaksanakan pembelajaran. Walaupun demikian, lesson study ini masih perlu dilanjutkan dan ditingkatkan agar pembelajaran yang berkualitas tetap terjaga.   Kata kunci: Lesson study, problem solving, review jurnal, Anatomi Morfologi Tumbuhan

Abstract

ABSTRAKBelum optimalnya hasil belajar dan prestasi siswa dalam mata pelajaran biologi mengindikasikan bahwa masih rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memaharni konsep-konsep biologi dikarenakan siswa masih mengalami hambatan dalam belajar. Meski pengembangan strategi pembelajaran biologi melalui penerapan berbagai model pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif telah banyak dilakukan oleh guru, namun hasilnya cenderung belum efektif. Rendahnya efektivitas inovasi pengembangan rancangan model pembelajaran biologi umumnya mengabaikan prinsip-prinsip perancangan pembelajaran yang mengacu pada pengembangan potensi peserta didik secara optimal seperti yang diamanatkan dalam KTSP 2006.Kecerdasan multiple intelligence merupakan potensi yang dimiliki peserta didik meliputi kecerdasan: logika matematika, linguistik (bahasa), spasial (ruang/bidang), kinestetik, musikal, interpersonal, dan intrapersonal, naturalis dan eksistensial selama ini belum banyak dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karenanya dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pembuatan rancangan model pembelajaran biologi.Mind Map merupakan petrbelajaran inovatif yang selain memiliki beberapa karakteristik keunggulan yang sangat relevan dengan pembelajaran biologi, juga memungkinkan untuk dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan multiple intelligence peserta didik. Oleh karenanya kepada guru biologi perlu memahami mekanisme kerja otak dalam melakukan pemrosesan Informasi ketika belajar untuk acuan dalam membuat rancangan model perrrbelajaran biologi yang efektif sebagai solusi terhadap hambatan peserta didik dalam memahami konsep-konsep biologi agar hasil belajar dapat lebih optimal.Kata kunci: Rancangan model pembelajaran biologi, multiple intelligence, Mind Map, kualitas pembelajaran, profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dengan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan konstruktivisme dalam model problem based learning berbasis kooperatif pada mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi. Sejalan dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai, penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNS pada semester genap tahun akadamik 2009/2010. Subjek penelitian adalah 48 mahasiswa semester IV kelas A yang menempuh mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi. Variabel masalah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi, sedangkan variabel tindakannya adalah penerapan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan Pendekatan Konstruktivisme dalam Model Problem Based Learning Berbasis Kooperatif. Tindakan ini dirumuskan dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang terdiri dari pembentukan kelompok kooperatif, orientasi masalah, kerja kelompok, konstruksi pengetahuan, diskusi kelas, dan finalisasi proyek. PTK ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Target dari penelitian ini adalah rata-rata nilai uji kompetensi mahasiswa sebesar 85. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rata-rata nilai uji kompetensi yaitu sebesar 82,92 pada siklus I, 84,44 pada siklus II, dan 85,15 pada siklus III. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi mahasiswa dapat ditingkatkan dengan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan konstruktivisme dalam model problem based learning berbasis kooperatif pada mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi.   Kata kunci: kompetensi mahasiswa, integrasi pendekatan konstrtuktivisme dalam PBL berbasis kooperatif, Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi
