Abstract

This research study looks at how social interaction affects the development of trust and cooperation in organizational environments based on a quantitative research methodology drawing on the theory of social psychology and management. The importance of trust and cooperation as described in prior scholarship has not been denied; however, there is little empirical literature characterizing the systematic organization and process of social interaction to have direct and indirect impacts on the behavior of cooperation. A sample of 200 respondents, selected by stratified random sampling among the members of completed validated Likert-scale measures created to measure social interaction, trust, and cooperation. In the data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and mediation were embraced to probe the direct and the indirect relationships between the variables. Findings showed that social interaction is a strong predictor of trust and that trust, in interaction with social interaction is a significant predictor of cooperative behavior; trust proved to be a partial mediator, increasing the effects of social interaction on cooperation. These data provide strong quantitative support to the interaction-trust-cooperation mechanism, thus highlighting the fundamental role of relational processes in organizational performance. The current research has both theoretical and practical implications: theoretically, the research confirms the mediational value of the trust in the organizational cooperation as empirically reliable; on the practical level, the research indicates that managers should design and facilitate meaningful social interaction as a strategic asset to develop the trust and encourage the collaboration, as well as, enhance the effectual performance of teams with the aim of building strong organizational cooperation. The development of trust via systematized contact in an ever more complex and interconnected work place becomes a critical force behind the development of sustainable collaboration and organizational robustness.

Abstract

Background: Students are a special group of individuals involved in tertiary education. Final-year students experience higher academic stress due to thesis, time pressure, and transition to professional life. Through the learning process, students will encounter and overcome obstacles in their educational journey. Other triggers of student stress include academic pressure, social challenges, family tensions, and financial problems. These conditions cause stress in their lives. Method: Respondents in this study were 112 students in a control group consisting of 56 respondents and an intervention group consisting of 56 respondents. The questionnaire by the Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS) consisted of 42 statements. Research design was Quasi-Experimental with a Control Group, Pre-Post Test design with Psychoeducation intervention. Sampling technique by total sampling. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were willing respondents for this study. Result: Stress level on Final Year students in the control group pre-test and post-test results p-value is 0.567 > 0.05, indicating that the control group isn’t affected before and after intervention. And then on the intervention group pre-test and post-test intervention, results are p = Value is 0.004 < 0.005, concluding that the intervention group pre-test and post-test intervention significantly affected stress levels in final students. Conclusion: Psychoeducation is one strategy for handling academic stress, which can be applied in individual, family, and group settings, focusing on psychological education of participants regarding various problems faced in life, helping people to develop supportive environments, and developing coping skills to manage various problems.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using the Lurik Pedan Klaten Local Wisdom Booklet with the Real World Problem Solving (RWPS) model to empower environmental literacy in VII students in science learning. This studi user a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of VII students at SMP N 1 Kebakkramat, selected using cluster random sampling. The research instrument used was a environmental literacy test with pretest and posttest and environmental literacy questionnaires. Quantitative data analysis used descriptive statistic, prerequisite test, and hypothesis testing using t-test.  The results showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.05 with a significance level of 5%. The average knowledge test scores for the experimental class (73.9) and the control class (66.4), the average attitude questionnaire scores for the experimental class (34.4) and the control class (34.4), and the average behavior questionnaire scores for the experimental class (34.16) and the control class (33.9) showed significant differences. It can be concluded that the experimental class that used the Lurik Pedan Klaten local wisdom booklet with the RWPS model significantly influenced students' environmental literacy skills. The implications of these research results indicate that the application of the Lurik Pedan Klaten local wisdom booklet using the RWPS model can be a learning resource in science education to empower students' environmental literacy, so that students can more easily understand concepts through problems that are relevant to their daily lives.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of RAFT and conventional technique in improving high and low motivated students’ skill in writing expository text and explained the motivation interaction to their skill.  RAFT is a system to help students understand their role as a writer, audience, varied formats for writing, and expected content. This research uses factorial design with 36 students of experimental group and 34 in control group. They are eleventh graders of MA Tarbiyatul Banin, Winong-Pati. The result shows that RAFT is effective in improving the high and low motivated students’ skill in writing expository text on the level of significance 0.05, the conventional technique is effective in improving the high and low motivated students’ skill in writing expository text on the level of significance 0.05. There is interaction of the students’ motivation to students’ skill in writing expository text using RAFT and conventional technique. By using RAFT, the high motivated students’ skill get more improvement and by using conventional technique, the low motivated students’ skill get more improvement. Further, the use of RAFT in improving the students’ skill in writing expository text is more effective than the use of conventional technique.

Abstract

This research is to improve the students’ science process skills include four aspects: 1) formulating problem; 2)formulating hypotheses; 3) constructing experimental design; 4) apply concept in Senses System,by applying boundedinquiry lab model for second grade students at SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. This research is a classroom action research(CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjectwas 35 students of science 3 at SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta.Data collection techniques used: 1) non-test technique(observation, interviews, and documentations); 2) test for science process skills. Data was analysed using descriptivequalitative. The results show that there is an improvement of each aspect of science process skillsfrom Pre-Cycle to Cycle2, i.e. formulating problem (39,46%; 50%;82,35%); formulating hypotheses (34,05%; 49,12%; 81,48%); experimentaldesign 34,05%; 49,12%; 81,48%); application concept (36,76%; 38%; 64,75%).Itcanbe concluded that the application ofbounded inquiry lab model can improve students’ science process skills.
