Abstract

This research aims to analyze the need for developing English teaching materials using the Eco-ELT (Ecological English Language Teaching) approach to increase environmental literacy among high school students in Dompu Regency. There are three main focuses in this research: (1) students' English learning characteristics, (2) students' English learning needs, and (3) obstacles faced by teachers in implementing environment-based learning. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection through interviews. The research results show that students have various learning characteristics which are influenced by motivation, teaching methods, and the availability of learning resources. Students need relevant, contextual and interactive learning materials to improve practical skills in English. In addition, it was found that teachers face a number of obstacles, including a lack of adequate facilities, resources and professional training. Thus, this research concludes that there is an urgent need to develop English language teaching materials based on Eco-ELT. This approach not only helps in improving students' English language skills but also fosters environmental awareness and literacy among high school students in Dompu Regency. The implications of these findings can be the basis for developing more effective and sustainable curriculum and learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate methods for enhancing student solidarity through the utilization of traditional games. Employing an action research approach, the study follows the Kemmis and Taggart model, comprising four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, conducted across two cycles. Data collection methods include field notes, interviews, documentation, and observation, with a sample comprising 20 children aged 6-7 years. Findings indicate a notable improvement in children's solidarity levels following engagement with traditional games. Prior to participation, students in the lower class exhibited low levels of solidarity, which increased to a high category after engaging in traditional games. Furthermore, the study highlights a significant positive correlation between traditional games and enhanced student solidarity, suggesting that traditional games, when integrated into teaching practices, effectively foster solidarity among students.

Abstract

This study employed a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from various scientific literature sources, such as books, national and international journals, policy documents, and relevant research findings, which were critically analyzed through stages of reduction, classification, synthesis, and interpretation. The results indicate that learning administration plays a crucial role in establishing an effective, innovative, and student-centered teaching system. Teachers are required to possess the skills to plan, implement, and evaluate learning that adapts to the madrasah context and student characteristics. The implications of this study emphasize that the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum is highly dependent on teacher professionalism in managing learning administration adaptively and based on Islamic values. The novelty of this research lies in strengthening the relationship between learning administration and Islamic educational spirituality, which can support the creation of an independent learning ecosystem in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This paper seeks to analyze the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach learning approach on the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills in third-grade pupils at SDN 104202 Bandar Setia. This research employed a quantitative method with a nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design, involving two groups: the control group (III A) without treatment and the experimental group (III B) that received the RME learning approach, with a total sample of 50 students. Both groups were administered pre-test and post-test instruments to measure problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The findings revealed that the application of the RME learning approach significantly improved both skills with p < 0.05. These results confirm that RME is effective in enhancing mathematics learning quality through real-life contexts and students’ direct experiences. The implication highlights the importance of integrating RME in elementary mathematics learning as an alternative strategy to foster critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as providing a reference for future instructional innovations.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), E-System, and the Role of the Account Representative on taxpayer compliance at the West Makassar KPP. The study's population consists of all taxpayers registered at the West Makassar KPP, with a sample size of 88 taxpayers selected for analysis. To ensure the validity and reliability of the questionnaire results, thorough testing was conducted, including classical assumption tests such as normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. The primary analytical method employed is multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) exerts a significant positive impact on taxpayer compliance, indicating that when taxpayers perceive technology as beneficial and user-friendly, they are more likely to comply with tax regulations. Conversely, the E-System demonstrates a significant negative effect on taxpayer compliance, suggesting potential issues with its implementation or usability that hinder compliance. Furthermore, the role of the Account Representative is found to have a significant positive effect on taxpayer compliance, highlighting the importance of personal interaction and support in facilitating tax compliance. Overall, the study emphasizes the critical factors influencing taxpayer compliance, providing insights that could inform policy decisions and the development of strategies to enhance compliance at the West Makassar KPP. These findings are crucial for improving tax administration and ensuring greater adherence to tax obligations among registered taxpayers.
