Abstract

Early childhood science learning must be adapted to the child's developmental stage. The science learning stage is still at the stage of recognizing and mixing colors. This research aims to determine the ability to identify science skills in early childhood through experimental activities of mixing colors at Al-Furqan Kindergarten. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The research results show that children's ability to experiment with science through color mixing activities is very good, marked by children's ability to experiment, namely by observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, communicating and concluding. This is caused by teachers involving children directly in science experiment activities, so that children are more excited and then start doing simple experiments by mixing colors. This science experiment activity through mixing colors goes through a process of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The teacher prepares what is needed for this activity and carries out the activity according to what has been planned, then evaluates what are the shortcomings for carrying out the next science experimental activity. Meanwhile, the science process skills are observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, communicating, experimenting and concluding.

Abstract

In an era marked by increasing ecological devastation and the intensification of social injustices, literature becomes a vital tool in terms of exploring the interwoven systems of environmental destruction and patriarchal oppression. While Rena Priest's poetry has been acknowledged for its eco-centric narratives, how it relates to ecofeminist thought has yet to receive adequate scrutiny. The following research strives to fill this gap by exploring how Priest's work—Tour of Salmonberry, The Index, and The Forest for the Trees—articulate a critique of dominant patriarchal and capitalist ideologies through the lens of ecofeminism. Through a descriptive qualitative research methodology, the research employs close reading methods to unveil the imagery, language, and symbols by which Priest's poetry conveys messages of resilience, interconnection, and Indigenous ecological knowledge. Priest's poetry goes beyond simple representation of powerful natural forces; it also speaks to silenced communities—most notably women and marginal communities—through the empowering voice of poetry. The research shows that Priest's work contributes to the green literary movement by promoting vital conversations with the natural world, disrupting hierarchical binarism, and promoting integrated somatic ecological justice. The research contributes to the broader ecofeminist discourse in literary study by showing how poetry has the power to serve as a force of change to deconstruct and renegotiate relations between humanity and nature, society, and existing power orders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of informed consent, legal protection and health workers in the Regional General Hospital of West Papua Province. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The data analysis used was verification analysis using linear regression analysis. The verification method is used to test the relationship between variables. The sample consisted of 35 respondents who were taken using saturated sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the variables of informed consent and legal protection of health workers in medical practice, especially in the context of health services in emergency situations. The results of hypothesis testing show that the application of informed consent serves as a guarantee for patients to understand the medical procedures to be carried out, while protecting health workers from potential lawsuits. Law No. 17 of 2023 provides a clear legal framework regarding the obligation of health workers to obtain consent for medical actions, with the exception of emergencies. This study confirms the importance of effective communication between health workers and patients. Although health workers do not fully understand the principles of informed consent.

Abstract

This study examines how implicature in the Indonesian television series Preman Pensiun communicates social justice and tolerance values, situating the analysis within broader discourses in Asian media. Drawing on pragmatic theory, particularly Grice’s implicature framework, the research explores how indirect meanings embedded in dialogue convey moral and cultural lessons beyond explicit speech. Data were collected from selected episodes through qualitative discourse analysis, focusing on conversational exchanges highlighting themes of justice, fairness, and tolerance in everyday interactions. The findings reveal that implicatures often emerge through the deliberate flouting of conversational maxims, especially those of relevance and manner, generating hidden moral messages that resonate with audiences. These implicit lessons demonstrate how entertainment media do more than entertain; they actively shape public attitudes and cultural understandings of justice, tolerance, and community life. The representation of masculinity and solidarity in Preman Pensiun reflects local cultural values, particularly regarding authority, cooperation, and morality within Indonesian society. By situating the analysis within discourse studies, this research contributes to scholarship on Asian media by illustrating how popular culture embeds moral discourse within casual communication. At the same time, the study acknowledges its limitations, as the analysis remains largely descriptive. Stronger integration with critical discourse analysis would provide deeper insight into power, ideology, and representation issues, especially regarding gender roles and authority. Future research should expand the dataset, compare similar narrative strategies across Asian television, and explore intersections between local discourse, globalization, religion, and social change.
