Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the Galansia Business Group in Sait Buttu Saribu Village, Pematang Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency, which is engaged in the processing of agricultural products and household products. The main problems faced by the partners include limited production capacity, inconsistent product quality, simple business management, and traditional marketing methods. To overcome these problems, the community service team applied a participatory approach by providing appropriate technology, business management assistance, and digital marketing training. The results of the activities showed a significant increase in production capacity, time efficiency, and product quality consistency thanks to the use of onion slicing machines and liquid soap mixing machines. In terms of marketing, the partners successfully utilized social media as a means of promotion and distribution, and improved product packaging to make it more attractive and professional. In terms of management, the partners were able to implement simple digital-based financial records and were facilitated in handling business legality. The impact achieved was an increase in members' income of more than 50% and the growth of entrepreneurial spirit among the village's elderly. This program has proven to be effective in supporting business independence and can be used as a model for community-based MSME empowerment in the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a necessity for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), particularly BRI, to face disruptions in the technological era. This study evaluates the reskilling and upskilling programs at BRI Medan in addressing the need for digital competencies, productivity improvement, and digital banking services. A mixed-method approach was used through in-depth interviews and questionnaires with program participants and HR management at BRI Medan, supported by digital policy documents and performance reports. The analysis focused on digital competencies, participant satisfaction, team performance impact, and regional implementation scale. Initial results indicate that the program emphasizes digital literacy, cybersecurity, the use of digital platforms, basic data analytics, and digital customer service. There was an improvement in skills and adaptability despite challenges such as limited training resources, varying employee profiles, and the need for job-specific customization. Positive impacts on operational efficiency and digital customer satisfaction were identified, with the acceleration of data-driven initiatives. The discussion highlights sustainable design, routine monitoring and evaluation, and the integration of the program into career paths. Policy implications: expansion of the program at Medan branches with a clear budget and strengthening the digital learning ecosystem. This study provides a practical overview of how BUMN, particularly BRI Medan, manages digital transformation through regional competency development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of career development and workload on job satisfaction among employees at the Education Office of Binjai City. The study involved 78 respondents, all of whom are employees of the Education Office of Binjai City, selected using a total sampling technique. The research method employed is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using normality tests, multicollinearity tests, hypothesis tests, and multiple linear regression. The results show that career development has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, indicating that career advancement opportunities play an important role in enhancing job satisfaction. Additionally, workload also has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, showing that effective workload management can improve employee satisfaction. Overall, both career development and workload have a significant impact on job satisfaction. These findings provide recommendations for the Education Office of Binjai City to continue improving policies related to career development and workload management to enhance employee job satisfaction, which in turn can support better organizational performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi hubungan antara perilaku kelompok dan dinamika senioritas dalam menciptakan lingkungan organisasi yang bebas kekerasan. Perilaku kelompok dalam organisasi seringkali dipengaruhi oleh dinamika senioritas, yang dapat menghasilkan hubungan kolaboratif atau konfliktual, tergantung pada bagaimana senioritas dikelola. Dalam beberapa kasus, senioritas yang tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat memicu terjadinya kekerasan, terutama dalam bentuk peru maupun intimidasi terhadap anggota junior. Penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku kelompok dan dampak senioritas terhadap interaksi antar anggota. Dengan mengidentifikasi potensi konflik yang muncul dari budaya senioritas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi efektif dalam membangun lingkungan organisasi yang aman dan inklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi literatur sebagai metode utama. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pedoman dalam menciptakan kebijakan organisasi yang mendukung kesejahteraan individu dan meningkatkan produktivitas tim melalui kolaborasi yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran komitmen dalam membangun keberhasilan organisasi. Kinerja karyawan merupakan faktor krusial yang mempengaruhi prestasi organisasi, di mana kinerja yang baik berkontribusi positif terhadap hasil keseluruhan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi, yang mencakup pemahaman terhadap tujuan, keterlibatan aktif, dan kesetiaan, berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan karyawan untuk berubah dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan. Karyawan yang merasa dihargai dan terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan cenderung lebih terbuka terhadap perubahan, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi manajemen untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung komitmen karyawan guna mencapai keberhasilan organisasi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of content marketing on clothing purchasing decisions at Shopee Live for students majoring in management, Faculty of Economics, Medan State University, Stambuk 2020. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods using simple linear regression analysis techniques and the data is analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 program. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that content marketing has a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase clothes at Shopee Live for students majoring in management, Faculty of Economics, Medan State University, Stambuk 2020, this is in accordance with the results of calculations in the partial test/t test, the calculated t value is > t table. namely 7.871 > 1.1996 so that the significant value is 0.000 < 0.05. So it is concluded that Content Marketing (X) has a positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions (Y).

Abstract

This research and development was motivated by the suboptimal management of promotional content on Instagram in increasing customer engagement (likes, comments, and shares) on the @upagordanghealing_elfrida.sitohang account. The purpose of this study was to develop promotional content in the form of photos and videos. This study used the Rapid Application Development (RAD) development model which consists of four main stages: Planning, User Design, Construction, and Cut Over. The subject of the research was the Instagram account @upagordanghealing_elfrida.sitohang, with a total of 30 contents uploaded during the development process. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, document analysis, and descriptive statistics. A total of 30 new contents (25 videos and 5 photos) were produced and uploaded on a schedule while maintaining a consistent visual identity. After implementation, there was a significant increase in customer engagement, with an Engagement Rate (ER) reaching 169% and a reach of 15%. These findings indicate that good promotional content management can effectively increase audience interest and engagement.

Abstract

This journal explores the importance of transparency in effective communication at PT Alpen Food Industry regarding overtime wages in work contracts. Using qualitative literature study methods, this research investigates various literature sources relevant to this topic. An in-depth analysis of the literature reveals that transparency in organizational communications plays a crucial role in building trust, minimizing conflict, and increasing employee engagement. By using a qualitative approach, this research obtained an in-depth understanding of the importance of transparent communication in the context of overtime wages at PT Alpen Food Industry. The practical implication of this research is the need for companies to increase transparent communication as a foundation for healthy relationships between management and employees. This research contributes to further understanding of communication dynamics in human resource management and sustainable organizational development.

Abstract

This research aims to identify horizontal communication barriers faced by PT Masterindo Jaya Global Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, descriptive data were obtained through literature study and observation of the research subjects, namely companies in Indonesia that experience horizontal communication problems. The results of qualitative data analysis show that communication barriers between units within the company can interfere with operational efficiency and effectiveness. Based on the findings, several solutions are proposed, such as choosing the right communication method, using easy-to-understand language, giving and asking for feedback in communication, increasing openness, maintaining harmonious inter-personal relationships, planning job placements correctly, and clarifying relationships within the organization. This research is expected to provide better insight into horizontal communication and provide guidance for managers and management system developers to improve communication effectiveness within the company.

Abstract

Perkembangan transportasi mengalami kemajuan pesat dan berubah menjadi sektor jasa. Maxim-Bike merupakan aplikasi ojek online baru yang bersaing dengan aplikasi ojek online lainnya. Maxim berkembang pesat dan memiliki banyak pelanggan yang menggunakan Maxim di Indonesia dan Pekanbaru, dimana banyak konsumen yang juga merupakan mahasiswa, karena biaya Maxim yang relatif murah dibandingkan aplikasi sejenis lainnya. Namun kualitas pelayanan Maxim kurang memuaskan sehingga mempengaruhi pengambilan keputusan pelanggan.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh harga dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap keputusan pembelian Maxim-Bike. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa pengguna Maxim-Bike di STIE Dharma Putra Pekanbaru. Sampel dari penelitian ini berjumlah 70 responden yang diidentifikasi menggunakan metode non probability sampling dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda.Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga berpengaruh positif terhadap keputusan mahasiswa menggunakan Maxim- Bike dengan nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0.02 dan kualitas pelayanan bepengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan mahasiswa menggunakan Maxim-Bike dengan nilai signifikansinyas sebesar 0.034. Hasil pengujian hipotesis secara simultan mendapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 yang menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga dan kualitas pelayanan memberikan hasil yang berpengaruh positif dan sgnifikan pada keputusan mahasiswa menggunakan Maxim-Bike.
