Abstract

Most of the coffee grounds waste is still left unattended so that it can pollute the environment. For this reason, it is necessary to have a way to use coffee grounds, such as making organic fertilizer or bokashi, in order to reduce environmental pollution and at the same time reduce the use of chemical fertilizers by farmers. The decomposition of coffee grounds tends to produce acid and lowers the pH of bokashi, so it is necessary to add alkaline ingredients. This research aimed to study the effect of the proportion of coffee grounds and fish bone meal as a mixture of raw materials in making bokashi on the quality of the bokasi produced. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. Factor I proportion of coffee grounds (A: 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%). Factor II proportion of fish bone meal (T: 0%, 2,5%, 5%). Each treatment was repeated 2 times to obtain 24 experimental units. The analysis of bokashi included: total microorganisms (TCC), pH, C elements, N elements, C/N ratio, temperature, water content, and plant growth tests. The results showed that coffee grounds could be added to the raw material mixture for making bokashi up to a proportion of 30%, indicated by a good pH (neutral range) and C/N ratio (10-20) values of bokashi produced. However, plant height generally decreased. The addition of up to 5% fish bone meal in raw material mixture which contained coffee grounds could help to maintain or increase the pH of bokashi during the fermentation process, and improved plant growth.

Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculous pleurisy (TP) is the pleural inflammation caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and a rare manifestation of childhood tuberculosis (TB). It is characterized by a large amount of fibrin, sticky adhesion, and even calcification. Pleural adhesion can significantly affect respiratory function and quality of life. Therefore, early detection, prompt therapy, and drainage of pleural effusion are crucial for preventing pleural adhesion. This case report is intended to enhance clinician awareness regarding avoiding and managing pleural thickening in TP. Case: A 14-year-old child had shortness of breath, fever for 2 weeks, cough, loss of appetite, and no smoking history. The laboratory results showed anemia and non-reactive human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV), analyzed pleural fluid monocyte showed 72%, and glucose 58%. Adenosine deaminase (ADA) analysis showed a rise above 61 U/L. The tuberculin skin test was negative. The chest X-ray showed right pleural effusion, the chest ultrasonography revealed a right hemithorax echo-free plane, and the computed tomography (CT) scan showed right pleural effusion and pulmonary fibrosis. The thoracoscopy view showed fibrinous adhesion-producing tenting and vascularization in the base without multiple nodules. Water-sealed drainage was performed and produced approximately 3,450 ml with serous xanthochromia. Then the patient was diagnosed with TP and treated with anti-TB drugs and steroids. Conclusion: Typical TP with fibrinous adhesions is an infrequent condition. This case report highlighted the importance of extensive screening using a thoracoscopy view and ADA analysis in patients with TP, especially in countries with a high TB burden.

Abstract

CV. Raja Hati is a company that is engaged in the process of refinishing tires that have been bald into new ones. The tire retreading process has a relatively high percentage of defects, such as 14.8% Printing Process, 12.3% Surface Leveling, 8.6% Tire Curing, and so on. The problems in this study are the factors that cause defects in terms of human aspects, the types of errors that most often occur in the production process, and the value of human error probability (HEP) in the production process at CV. Raja Hati. This study aims to determine the factors that cause defects in terms of human aspects, the types of errors that most often occur in the production process and the value of human error probability (HEP) in the production process. The research was conducted using the SHERPA and HEART methods. The SHERPA method’s study results show that the types of errors that often occur in the tire retreading process are many wrong operator actions. Still, on the proper object (A7), the operator is wrong in dividing the time in doing work (A2), and the operator is not suitable for doing his job (A5). This study concludes that the factors that cause product defects in the tire retreading process are the absence of a procedure for correcting errors by 21.63%, the need for different techniques in doing work to facilitate operators by 27.04%, inexperienced operators by 12.36%, and inexperience and independent inspection has a percentage of 12.36%. The results of the calculation of the HEP value show that the average HEP value in the tire retreading process is 0.8552 or 85.52%, while the operator reliability value is 14.48%.

Abstract

This research aims at determining the reasons and causes for dividing inheritance before the death of the testator, as well as the implications of this inheritance division pattern on the heirs. The disagreement between custom (also known as adat) and Sharia creates an issue in the division of inheritance in Sungai Duo Village, South Solok Regency, Indonesia. In its principle, inheritance is divided after the testator dies. However, in Sungai Duo Village it applies differently, where inheritance is distributed before the testator passed away. This is empirical legal research using a qualitative legal approach, which was investigated through the Islamic inheritance law's perspectives. The data included primary data, which were obtained from interviews, and secondary data generated from document studies. Data were analyzed through several stages, including data reduction, data display, and verification. Based on the research findings, the reasons for dividing inheritance before the testator dies are: first, to avoid disputes between the heirs; second, lack of knowledge of the heirs concerning the Islamic inheritance system, resulting in inheritance division contradicts the provisions of Sharia; third, inheritance division pattern applied in society is dominated by customs that have been passed down for generations, and fourth, the diverse community of Minangkabau and Javanese ethnicity causes their inheritance division pattern to reflect their regional customs. The implication of this inheritance division pattern to the heirs is that there is peace for the heirs in terms of inheritance responsibility because they consider the heirs to have had the maturity and ability to manage the assets of their parents who are no longer able to manage these assets. So that it can improve their children's economies or serve as a support for those who are married. These findings also prove the existence of legal duality, namely Islamic inheritance law and customary inheritance law. However, it appears that customary inheritance law is more prevalent than Islamic inheritance law.

This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of research that is descriptive research. The data sourcess used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The research procedure begins with direct observation in the Gowa 2 Public High School environment, after which it conducts interviews and takes documentation. The collected data will be analyzed using data grouping, data reduction and data presentation techniques. The results of the study showed that: (1) Teacher readiness in the Independent Curriculum In Civics subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Gowa it can be said that they are not sufficiently prepared because they have not prepared the components of teaching materials such as annual programs, semester programs, effective weekly details, time allocations, guidelines assessment, criteria for achieving learning objectives, and projects to strengthen Pancasila student profiles. There are still many preparations that must be made both from the teacher and from the school itself. The independent curriculum education system really needs to be considered in schools so that equity and effectiveness of learning can run in accordance with the ideals of the nation-state, namely educating the life of the nation. (2) There are still many supporting factors and inhibiting factors in implementing the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Gowa that need to be addressed, one of which is expanding teachers' understanding of the independent curriculum and mastery of technology must also be developed according to the needs of the independent curriculum system. These supporting and inhibiting factors are the initial capital for schools and teachers so that the implementation of the independent curriculum can be carried out perfectly and the learning process can be more effective.
