Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self regulation, self esteem and self concept. These independent variables are factors within students who have an important role in the learning process. So that the factors in these students become the core in this research study. This type of research is ex post facto involving grade VIII students of SMPN 5 Makassar with a total sample of 168 students. Data collection techniques used questionnaire instruments of self regulation, self esteem and self concept and documentation data in the form of student achievement scores that had passed the validation process. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression after passing the prerequisite test process. The conclusion of this study shows that self-regulation, self-esteem and self-concept together have an effect on the learning achievement of class VIII students of SMAN 5 Makassar with a large influence of 90.2% and the remaining 9.8% is influenced by other factors. This shows that the factors from within these students have an important role in the success of students in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran gallery walk terhadap minat belajar biologi peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Duampanua Kabupaten Pinrang. Jenis penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent postest control group design. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan minat belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrolmenggunakan metode gallery walk yang dibuktikan dengan nilait-test sebesar p = 0.002 (p 0,05). Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukan adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik. Rata-rata minat belajar dengan menggunakan metode gallery Walk sebesar 114,15 lebih tinggi dibanding nilai rata-rata minat belajar tanpa menggunakan metode gallery walk sebesar 106,60. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan metode gallery walk terhadap minat belajar biologi peserta didik.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the picture of self-efficacy, positive thinking ability, learning achievement, knowing the effect of self-efficacy on learning achievement, knowing the effect of positive thinking ability on learning achievement, and the effect of self-efficacy through positive thinking ability on student achievement in the biology education department. This type of research is ex post facto with a total sample of 43 people. Based on the results of the analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics it is known: 1) The self-efficacy of students majoring in biological education is in the high category of 58%. 2) The ability to think positively of students majoring in biology education is in the very high category of 65%. 3) The learning achievement of students majoring in biology education is in the cum laude category of 70%. 4) There is no significant effect between self-efficacy and learning achievement with a path coefficient of 0.177, 5) There is no significant effect between positive thinking on learning achievement with a path coefficient of 0.009; and 6) There is no significant effect of self-efficacy through positive thinking ability on student achievement with a path coefficient of 0.0038. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant effect of self-efficacy and positive thinking on student achievement directly or indirectly, namely through the ability to think positively.Keywords:  learning achievement; positive thinking; self-efficacy ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui gambaran efikasi diri, kemampuan berpikir positif, prestasi belajar; (2) mengetahui pengaruh efikasi diri terhadap prestasi belajar; (3) mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berpikir positif terhadap prestasi belajar; dan (4) pengaruh efikasi diri melalui kemampuan berpikir positif terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 43 orang mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar yang terpilih berdasarkan simple random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunalan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (analisis jalur). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Efikasi diri mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, kemampuan berpikir positif mahasiswa berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa berada pada kategori cumlaude; (2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan prestasi belajar dengan nilai koefisien jalur sebesar 0,177; (3) Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara berpikir positif terhadap prestasi belajar dengan nilai koefisien jalur sebesar 0,009; dan (4) Tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan efikasi diri melalui kemampuan berpikir positif terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa dengan koefisien jalur sebesar 0,0038. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan efikasi diri dan berpikir positif terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung yang melalui kemampuan berpikir positif.Kata Kunci: berpikir positif; efikasi diri; prestasi belajar

Abstract

The headmaster, as the highest policymaker in the school, has a very important role in overcoming violations that occur in the schools. Successful headmaster can be seen from the process of influencing every element in the school and being able to apply all leadership models in any situation and condition. There are several types of leadership, namely; authoritarian, democratic, and charismatic. This study aims to determine the headmaster’s leadership types of MTs As'adiyah Ereng-ereng in overcoming the students’ violations. This was field research with qualitative methods where the data sources came from the headmaster, students, educators, and students who committed violations. The data were collected from interviews, observation, and documentation. Then they were analyzed with analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results indicate that the forms of violations committed were (1) not praying in congregation, skipping the classes, not wearing appropriate uniforms, destroying facilities, and carrying cellphones. The leadership type that is most often applied in the schools was a charismatic leadership type. Although this type of dominates, democratic, and collective leadership is also found.

Abstract

The development of religious values in early childhood is very important. One way that can be done in developing religious values in learning is by using role-playing methods. This study aims to find out the importance of role-playing in the development of religious values in early childhood. This type of research is a library study research (Library Research) with data collection using documentation techniques from journals published in 2015-2022 and reference books that are in accordance with the focus of the research. The data analysis used in this study is content analysis. The results of the study show that role-playing methods, especially in the role-playing activities of doctors, becoming priests, and being a helper child (almsgiving) can develop and increase children's religious values.

Abstract

Humans in the present day are capable of encountering complicated challenges, as well as the complexity of the times. Based on the Qur'an and Hadith, the existence of Islamic Education counseling is a solution in helping individuals get through their difficulties. The purpose of this paper is to discuss human potential as counselors and targets of Islamic education counseling from a scientific standpoint. This article arose through literature review that included data from books, scientific journals, including research papers. Content analysis was used to examine the data. The results demonstrated that Islamic education counseling could make it easier to find alternative problem-solving methods based on the Qur'an and Hadith, and also faith in Allah SWT. Islamic education counseling encourages clients to further strengthen their natural personality so that they will always carry out Allah SWT's commands, and indeed the presence of Islamic education counseling can increase the counselee's faith, Islam, and sincerity to become human beings.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic limits people’s mobility and causes economic decline. To cope with the problem, the government has issued the pre-employment cards but still insufficient to increase people’s incomes. This study aims to prove the contextualization of the meaning of hadith on work ethics during the pandemic using maudhū’i technique. The research is focusing on one hadith narrated by Ahmad bin Hanbal, since this hadith is the most relevant to the pandemic case. The quality of the hadith is analyzed descriptively based on the hadith book. The study found that the work ethic hadith narrated by Ahmad bin Hanbal is valid because it fulfills the continuity of his sanad and narrators 'adil and al-dlabt. The meaning contained in the hadith which is the focus of the study in this paper emphasizes the nobility of people who use their own hands and abilities to work so that they can provide a spirit for the Muslim ummah to continue working to support their families even during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the criteria for social development in children 11 months based on the Standard Level of Child Development Achievement and formulate appropriate stimulation based on the theory of child development. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were two children aged 11 months who were selected by purposive sampling. The data were collected from observation and direct interview techniques then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that both children (HM and D) had met the age standard in terms of research desires with various body movements and simple word expressions, how to express feelings such as, how to apply and kiss. The forms of stimulation performed by parents or caregivers of children include: (1) building attachment with children; (2) invite the child to have a conversation or A with the closest person; and (3) inviting children to play with their peers.

Abstract

Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic had both positive and negative effects, including online learning for the Dirasah Islamiyah study program, concentration on Education and Teacher Training, Postgraduate at Islamic State University of Alauddin Makassar, so it is necessary to be evaluated. The purpose of this study is to evaluate online learning programs using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) program evaluation model formulated by Stufflebeam. This descriptive quantitative research used primary data collected from questionnaires from lecturers and students in the Learning Program Evaluation course as a source of informants and secondary data were taken using documentation in the form of Semester Learning Plans, lecture materials, and coursework results. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the implementation of online learning at the Postgraduate Alauddin State Islamic University in Makassar, the Dirasah Islamiyah Study Program with the concentration of Education and Teacher Training had been going well although some parts still needed to be improved such as maximizing the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), clear coordination between fellow lecturers who support courses related to RPS which will be applied for one semester and strict conditioning so that students do their assignments responsibly (free of plagiarism).Pembelajaran daring yang berlangsung selama pandemi covid-19 menimbulkan dampak positif dan juga negative, tidak terkecuali pada pembelajaran daring program studi Dirasah Islamiyah konsentrasi Pendidikan dan Keguruan, Pascasarjana Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar sehingga perlunya dilakukan evaluasi terhadap program pembelajaran daring tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi program pembelajaran daring dengan menggunakan model evaluasi program Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) yang dirumuskan oleh Stufflebeam. Penelitian kuantitatif deskripstif ini menggunakan data primer yang dikumpulkan dari hasil kusioner dari dosen dan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Evaluasi Program Pembelajaran sebagai sumber informan dan data sekunder yang diambil menggunakan dokumentasi berupa Rencana Pembelajaran Semester, materi perkuliahan, dan hasil tugas mata kuliah. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini  menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring di Pascasarjana Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, Program Studi Dirasah Islamiyah konsentrasi Pendidikan dan Keguruan mata kuliah Evaluasi Program Pembelajaran sudah berjalan dengan baik meskipun ada beberapa bagian yang masih perlu ditingkatkan seperti memaksimalkan penggunaan Learning Management Sistem (LMS), koordinasi yang jelas antara sesama dosen pengampu mata kuliah terkait Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) yang akan diterapkan selama satu semester dan pengkondisian yang ketat agar mahasiswa mengerjakan tugasnya secara bertanggungjawab (bebas plagiasi).

Abstract

Letter recognition is the first stage in developing children’s reading skills. It is hence important to optimize the stimulus for letter recognition, either in terms of methods or media. One of the media helpful for improving children’s letter recognition is the alphabet book. The present study aims to depict the role of the alphabet book in improving preschool children's letter recognition. This qualitative library research garnered articles and books using two keywords: alphabet book and letter recognition. The data were collected using documentation and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s descriptive analysis. The result showed that Alphabet Book improved children’s letter recognition. Alphabet book could improve children’s ability to recognize letter shapes and sounds and write the letter. This improvement appears to be accounted for by the book’s various themes, attractive illustrations, and words representing each letter. The alphabet book is also interesting when used together with storytelling and play methods. Alphabet book also plays a role in improving children's learning interest and enriching their vocabulary.
