Abstract

The golden age of children, which is often called the Golden Age, is when children are between 0 and 6 years old. At this stage of development, children grow and change rapidly. The aim of this community service is to improve students' fine motor skills through origami paper folding activities, including eye and hand coordination abilities, finger flexibility, and accuracy in carrying out fine movements. This project uses the ABCD (Asset Based Communities Development) strategy or method, which is a community development approach that emphasizes the assets and qualities that the community already has. In general, the results of the activity of improving fine motor skills by using origami for kindergarten students at Dharma Wanita Association 3 Tambak Lekok, namely the target of solving the problem in using origami paper to make carrots, are children who have never previously known and make ornamental plants from the material. origami paper, but in the activity of Improving Fine Motor Skills Using Origami for Kindergarten Students of Dharma Wanita Association 3 Tambak Lekok with enthusiasm to follow and learn together in making carrots from origami materials. Because with this creative activity, children of their age become increasingly curious about what they didn't know before, thus encouraging and encouraging them to learn together in paper folding activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to increase awareness and ability of local communities in handling organic waste from homes to be composted. Waste that can be used effectively to reduce environmental pollution and improve the condition of agricultural land is called household organic waste. The method used is participatory Action Research (PAR) this activity is in the form of a field demonstration which takes place at the Green House of Bakungtemenggungan village by directly showing the process of making liquid compost in the field. The results obtained in this activity show that the community has increased its ability in terms of handling organic waste and making compost which is one form of organic fertilizer. Community service activities, villagers can reduce the amount of waste that ends up in the environment and increase knowledge and ability in waste management.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of assistance in teaching Quran reading and writing as well as Pegon script at Taman Pendidikan Qur'an (TPQ) Al-Kautsar, Sumokembangsri Village. The assistance is designed to enhance students' skills in reading and writing the Quran, as well as in Pegon script, which is part of the local tradition. The method used in this community service program employs Participatory Rural Appraisal, involving field surveys and direct communication with the community. The results indicate that routine and structured assistance significantly improves students' abilities in reading the Quran and writing Pegon script. The program also positively impacts students' understanding and skills in effectively practicing both aspects. This community service program is expected to contribute to the development of better and more adaptive teaching methods at TPQ and strengthen the preservation of local culture through Pegon script writing.

Abstract

Community service is a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, with the aim of having a positive impact on society. This activity was carried out on 29 July 2024 in Pasinan Village, Lekok District, Pasuruan, with a focus on developing local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Unsuri team collaborated with MSME players in designing marketing strategies through attractive menu list and banner designs. The approach used is participatory, where MSME players are actively involved in every stage of planning. The methods used include field observations, interviews, design, and implementation of marketing strategies based on the results of MSME needs analysis. Active participation from villagers is expected to increase programme engagement and sustainability, as well as strengthen the competitiveness of local products. The results of this programme show an increase in the visual appeal and professional image of MSMEs, which has a positive impact on sales potential and the village economy.

Abstract

The revitalization of Rowo Gempol Village's tourism potential through the development of directional infrastructure aims to improve accessibility and enhance the village's appeal as a tourist destination. The village's natural and cultural tourism potential has not been fully utilized due to the lack of supporting infrastructure, particularly clear and informative directional signs. Through this initiative, the PkM team, in collaboration with the local community, conducted site identification, designed and installed directional signs, and educated residents on the importance of maintaining and utilizing this infrastructure. Active community participation was key to the program's success, which is expected to broaden visitor access and positively impact the local economy. The results of this program indicate that the construction of directional infrastructure not only facilitates tourists in exploring the village but also strengthens Rowo Gempol Village's image as a well-organized tourist destination. Another positive impact is the increased awareness and sense of responsibility among the community in managing the village's tourism potential, along with new economic opportunities arising from the growth in tourist visits. This initiative successfully achieved its objectives and serves as a model that can be implemented in other villages with tourism potential hindered by inadequate supporting infrastructure.

Abstract

Health problems among students at Al Maksum Elementary School, Balunganyar Village, Lekok District, are still a concern due to a lack of knowledge and awareness of Clean and Healthy Living Practices (PHBS). This condition increases the risk of diseases that interfere with children's learning and growth and development. This research aims to improve student health through the socialization and implementation of PHBS using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which involves students, teachers and health workers in planning, implementation and evaluation. Socialization includes education about personal hygiene, hand washing, cleanliness of the school environment, and the importance of healthy food. Direct practice is also carried out to strengthen the implementation of PHBS. As a result, there has been an increase in students' understanding and changes in behavior, with higher awareness of personal and environmental hygiene, as well as discipline in implementing PHBS. As a result, student health improves, health complaints decrease, and attendance increases. It is hoped that this activity will be carried out in a sustainable manner by involving parents and the community to create a supporting environment and maintain the sustainability of PHBS implementation.

Abstract

The creation of social media profiles for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Fresh Milk in Balunganyar Village is an essential strategy for enhancing competitiveness and market reach in the digital era. This MSME relied solely on limited traditional promotion methods; however, by establishing a presence on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, Fresh Milk has successfully expanded its consumer reach and increased sales. Social media also facilitates direct interaction with customers, thereby enhancing trust and consumer loyalty. Challenges such as limited knowledge of digital marketing strategies and intense competition still need to be addressed. The aim of this research is to improve the social media profile of the fresh milk MSME to attract consumer attention and boost sales. The method used is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), focusing on identifying the assets owned by the MSME and empowering the community through training. With guidance from students of UNSURI, the Fresh Milk business owners received training on effective social media management, including branding, content creation, and utilizing customer feedback for product development. In the long term, this program is expected not only to increase sales but also to strengthen brand awareness and inspire other MSME in Balunganyar Village to adopt digital technology in their marketing strategies. The results of the program indicate that social media is a highly effective tool for the development of MSMS today.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penguasaan ilmu Nahwu dan Shorof merupakan keterampilan mendasar bagi santri dalam memahami teks-teks keislaman, salah satunya melalui Kitab Al-Jurumiyah yang menjadi rujukan utama dalam pembelajaran gramatikal bahasa Arab di pesantren. Namun, banyak santri yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca dan memahami isi kitab tersebut secara sistematis. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin, Mojokerto, dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan metode pembelajaran Kitab Al-Jurumiyah serta urgensinya dalam mendukung pemahaman santri terhadap ilmu Nahwu dan Shorof.Kegiatan ini melibatkan santri di Madrasah Diniyah dengan metode pelaksanaan berupa ceramah dan praktik pembelajaran. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh program telah terlaksana dengan baik, dan santri menunjukkan minat yang tinggi dalam kegiatan bimbingan baca Kitab Al-Jurumiyah, sehingga program ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan pesantren. Keberhasilan program ini juga didukung oleh kolaborasi yang baik antara tim pengabdian dan santri. Selain itu, kegiatan ini menjadi sarana motivasi bagi santri dalam meningkatkan minat belajar ilmu Nahwu dan Shorof. Pengabdian ini turut mempererat hubungan silaturrahmi serta meningkatkan ketakwaan kepada Allah SWT. Program ini juga berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman santri terhadap struktur gramatikal bahasa Arab melalui Kitab Al-Jurumiyah.Kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di pesantren. Kata Kunci: kemampuan membaca, kitab kuning, kitab al-jurumiyah, santri ABSTRACT The mastery of Nahwu and Shorof is a fundamental skill for students in understanding Islamic texts, one of which is through the Al-Jurumiyah book, which serves as a primary reference in learning Arabic grammar in Islamic boarding schools. However, many students still face difficulties in reading and comprehending the content of this book systematically. Therefore, this community service program was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin, Mojokerto, with the aim of analyzing the implementation of the teaching methods for the Al-Jurumiyah book and its urgency in supporting students' understanding of Nahwu and Shorof. This program involved students from the Madrasah Diniyah, utilizing lecture and practice methods. The results of the community service show that the entire program was successfully implemented, and students demonstrated a high level of interest in the Al-Jurumiyah reading guidance activities, indicating that the program met the needs of the pesantren. The success of the program was also supported by good collaboration between the service team and the students. Additionally, this activity served as a means of motivating students to enhance their interest in learning Nahwu and Shorof. The program also strengthened social relationships and increased devotion to Allah SWT. Furthermore, it contributed positively to improving students' understanding of Arabic grammar through the Al-Jurumiyah book.It is hoped that this community service program can be sustained to support the improvement of learning quality in Islamic boarding schools. Abstract

Era globalisasi, pendidikan menjadi faktor utama dalam mengembangkan keterampilan dan kreativitas individu. di Desa Balunganyar, Kabupaten Pasuruan, terdapat masalah buta aksara yang signifikan, terutama pada masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah. Penelitian ini menyoroti program pemberantasan buta aksara yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya, menargetkan penduduk usia 35-70 tahun. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pendataan peserta, persiapan media pembelajaran, dan pelatihan baca tulis melalui pendekatan fungsional yang melibatkan tes awal, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Program ini menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan baca, tulis, dan hitung di kalangan peserta, serta memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan baru. Faktor ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya menjadi penghambat utama literasi. Pelatihan ini menekankan pemberdayaan lansia buta aksara melalui keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan mereka secara ekonomi dan sosial. Kegiatan pelatihan, berlangsung selama lima hari, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta, meskipun tantangan seperti dukungan keluarga dan pemahaman tentang pentingnya pendidikan masih ada. Hasil program menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan keaksaraan mampu meningkatkan literasi masyarakat Desa Balunganyar. Program ini dijadikan kegiatan tahunan untuk memberantas buta aksara di daerah dengan tingkat buta aksara tinggi, dengan meningkatkan partisipasi pemuda untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akurasi rekomendasi tempat melalui penambahan atribut dalam Google Maps di Desa Balunganyar dengan menggunakan metode Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Metode ABCD dipilih karena fokusnya pada penguatan potensi dan sumber daya yang ada di dalam komunitas, serta melibatkan partisipasi aktif warga dalam proses pengembangan. Dalam konteks ini, komunitas yang menjadi audiens adalah warga Desa Balunganyar yang menggunakan Google Maps untuk mendapatkan informasi lokasi. Dengan pendekatan ini, warga diajak untuk mengidentifikasi aset yang mereka miliki, seperti pengetahuan lokal tentang tempat-tempat yang penting dan relevan di desa Balunganyar. Proses ini dilakukan melalui diskusi kelompok, di mana warga dilibatkan langsung dalam menambah atribut yang relevan pada Google Maps, seperti kategori tempat, jam buka, dan fasilitas yang tersedia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan aset komunitas, penambahan atribut yang tepat mampu meningkatkan akurasi rekomendasi tempat di Google Maps. Selain itu, partisipasi aktif warga dalam pengelolaan informasi lokal juga meningkat, yang pada gilirannya memperkuat rasa kepemilikan dan keterhubungan antarwarga, sehingga mendukung pengembangan Desa Balunganyar yang lebih informatif dan terintegrasi.
