Abstract

Rice farmers who play an important role in rice production face quite severe challenges due to the impact of El Nino which causes prolonged drought. This study aims to determine the adaptation strategies carried out by rice farmers in dealing with drought conditions in order to meet their basic needs. This research was conducted in Baji Pamai District, Maros Baru District, Maros Regency. The sample of this study was 20% of the population, consisting of 43 farmers who planted rice in the dry season and farmers who did not plant rice, who were selected using simple random sampling. The data analysis method used is qualitative descriptive analysis is a method used to describe or summarize data systematically and concisely. The types of data used in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. The results of the study indicate that farmers who continue to plant rice in the dry season carry out strategies such as water management, selection of rice varieties, mulching, fertilization and provision of organic materials, weather monitoring and partnerships, and training. Meanwhile, farmers who do not plant rice in the dry season carry out strategies such as crop diversification, weather monitoring and partnerships, and training. Petani padi selaku pemegang peran penting dalam produksi padi dihadapkan pada permasalahan serius imbas dari El Nino, yang mengakibatkan terjadinya kekeringan menjadi lebih panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Baji Pamai, Kecamatan Maros Baru, Kabupaten Maros. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah 20% dari jumlah populasi yaitu 43 orang yang terdiri dari petani yang menanam padi dan petani yang tidak menanam padi saat musim kemarau dengan menggunakan metode simple random sampling. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif yaitu metode yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan data secara sistematis dan ringkas. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bagi petani yang menanam saat musim kemarau melakukan strategi berupa pengolahan air, pemilihan varietas padi, penggunaan mulsa, pemupukan dan bahan organik, melakukan monitoring cuaca dan kemitraan serta pelatihan. Bagi petani yang tidak melakukan penanaman di musim kemarau menggunakan strategi berupa diversifikasi tanam, melakukan monitoring cuaca dan kemitraan serta pelatihan.

Abstract

Salah satu Desa yang memiliki potensi tinggi dalam pariwisata adalah Desa Suranadi. Akan tetapi, dalam pengamatan di lapangan masyarakat Desa Suranadi belum memiliki awareness yang tinggi tentang sampah, karena dari beberapa destinasi wisata, tidak ditemukan tempat sampah yang layak dalam pengelolaan sampah. Hal itu, mendorong mahasiswa KKN T Universitas Mataram dalam membuat keranjang pilah sampah berbahan dasar bambu yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebersihan lingkungan daerah wisata Desa Suranadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode survey dan observasi pada kawasan wisata setempat terkait sampah. Antusiasme masyarakat setempat dalam pengadaan keranjang pilah sampah sangat baik, sehingga dengan adanya keranjang pilah sampah, masyarakat daerah wisata terutama wisata alam dapat mengolahnya menjadi kompos dan pupuk yang bernilai jual, selain itu dapat meningkatkan kreatifitas masyarakat dalam pembuatan keranjang pilah sampah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tersebut diharapkan menjadi titik awal yang baik dalam meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat terkait pengelolaan sampah sehingga menjadikan Desa Suranadi menjadi Desa wisata yang bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Sebuah organisasi perlu memanfaatkan sumber daya manusianya secara maksimal supaya berkembang. Tak perlu diungkapkan lagi bahwa disiplin kerja pegawai amatlah krusial ketika membahas manajemen sumber daya manusia guna memaksimalkan hasil. Hasil dari observasi di lapangan, adanya fenomena yang menunjukkan Disiplin Kerja yang belum optimal pada kantor Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Indramayu yang dipengaruhi oleh Linkungan Kerja dan Motivasi. Tujuan penelitian yakni guna mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Lingkungan Kerja dan Motivasi terhadap Disiplin Kerja Pegawai pada Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian ini menerapkan metodologi deskriptif asosiatif disertai pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 75 pegawai pada Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Indramayu. Variabel bebas yakni Lingkungan Kerja beserta Motivasi kemudian variabel terikat yakni Disiplin Kerja. Teknik analisis data memakai Software SPSS 25 dan Microsoft Excel 2016. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan memperoleh nilai 0.603 artinya X1 beserta X2 terhadap Y berpengaruh positif signifikan dan termasuk kategori Kuat. Berdasarkan hasil Fhitung > Ftabel 20,584 > 3,12 dengan tingkat signifikan 0,000 < 0,05, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga Lingkungan Kerja beserta Motivasi secara simultan berpengaruh positif sekaligus signifikan terhadap Disiplin Kerja pada pegawai Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Indramayu.

Abstract

Abstract. This paper aims to examine various philosophical streams that influence education and how these approaches are applied in the context of academic fields. By employing a library research method, this article analyzes relevant literature such as books, journals, articles, and theses discussing the relationship between philosophy and education. Different educational philosophies offer diverse views on the role of education in shaping individuals and society. Each philosophical approach has its strengths and weaknesses, depending on the cultural and social context. This paper also explores how the application of these philosophical streams in academic contexts can optimize the learning process and achieve more inclusive educational goals that align with the evolving demands of society. A comparison of these approaches reveals that no single approach guarantees academic success for all students, as individual and social factors also affect learning outcomes. These findings aim to provide insights for educators and education practitioners in selecting and adapting the philosophical streams most suitable for contemporary educational needs.

Abstract

Business transformation of MSMEs is a top priority in improving competitiveness in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the implementation of information technology and applications in supporting the transformation of MSMEs in Makassar City. The research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, through a survey of 60 MSMEs that use information technology such as computers, the internet, and digital applications. Data analysis includes validity, reliability, normality, and linear regression tests to see the relationship between technology utilization and MSME performance. The results show that most MSMEs in Makassar have used information technology for administration, marketing, communication with consumers, and promotion. E-commerce proved to be an important element in expanding markets and improving operational efficiency. Statistical testing revealed a significant influence between the use of information technology and the improvement of MSME performance, including production, sales, revenue, and HR management. These findings suggest that information technology helps MSMEs in Makassar City become more competitive in the digital era.Keywords: MSMEs; Information Technology; Makassar City

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing differentiated learning based on learning styles on the improvement of student learning independence and critical thinking skills in science subjects, specifically on the topic of light, in grade V at SD Inpres 1 Inti Bantaya. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method conducted on the entire population of grade V students at SD Inpres 1 Inti Bantaya for the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of two classes with a total of 56 students. The results show that the application of differentiated learning based on learning styles has a positive impact on enhancing students' learning independence. This is evidenced by higher scores in the experimental class compared to the control class across five aspects of learning independence: initiative, self-confidence, responsibility, problem-solving, and self-control. Additionally, the results of the independent t-test indicate a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest scores of students' critical thinking skills in the experimental and control classes. The significance values for the pretest and posttest are 0.000 and 0.009, respectively, indicating that the use of differentiated learning based on learning styles can improve students' critical thinking skills. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that differentiated learning based on learning styles is effective in enhancing learning independence and critical thinking skills among students on the topic of light in grade V at SD Inpres 1 Inti Bantaya.

Abstract

Humans require food and beverages that serve as building materials, regulators, and sources of energy. Protein is an essential component that functions in tissue maintenance, formation of essential body compounds, antibody production, and maintaining bodily balance. However, the protein content in packaged dairy cow milk can decrease over storage time after packaging, which may affect the nutritional value received by consumers. This study aims to identify and analyze changes in protein levels in packaged dairy cow milk over three days after packaging. The research method used is UV-VIS spectrophotometry with a Genesys 10-S spectrophotometer to measure the protein content in dairy cow milk samples taken from Gunung Perak Village, Sinjai Barat Subdistrict, Sinjai Regency. The results showed that the protein content of the milk one day after packaging was 0.027%, two days after packaging was 0.021%, and three days after packaging was 0.019%. This decrease in protein levels indicates that the duration of storage after packaging negatively affects the protein quality of the milk. The implication of these research findings is the need for special attention in the storage and distribution process of packaged dairy cow milk to maintain its protein content, ensuring that the nutritional value received by consumers remains optimal. Further research with different methods is recommended to obtain more in-depth information about the factors influencing changes in protein levels in the milk.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of managing solid medical waste at the Tidore City Regional Hospital and whether it is in accordance with Permenkes No. 7 of 2019. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The objects of this study include the head of IPRS, environmental health staff and cleaning services at the Tidore City Regional Hospital. The research instrument uses interview guidelines, stationery and mobile phones. Qualitative data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this study indicate that Permenkes No. 7 of 2019 is not in accordance with the process of transporting and storing solid medical waste. The problems found include the absence of a transport trolley, the transport route still uses the visitor/patient route and the location of the TPS which is close to the service room. The conclusion of this study is that the management of solid medical waste at the Tidore City Regional Hospital can be said to be not in accordance with the management of medical waste according to Permenkes No. 7 of 2019. The advice given to the hospital is to improve the management of solid medical waste, the aim is for the health of the environment and the community around the hospital. Abstract

This study uses a qualitative research method that provides an understanding of the strategy for developing halal assurance in Indonesia. This research method uses a literature review taken from several readings that discuss the existence of strategies, development and halal assurance. The results of this study are that halal products are rahmatan lil alamin for all people, especially for those who consume them and the business actors involved. In the development of the halal product industry, the implementation of sustainable policies that are in accordance with Islamic law will be oriented towards fair business and be able to create a just and prosperous society. In this case, the emphasis of the strategy is carried out by prioritizing the development of aspects of the domestic halal product industry and creating a business network in the global market that will grow the Indonesian halal product industry to dominate the global market. This is expected to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability in the development of the halal product industry and make development rational and on target. Therefore, community involvement in the process of developing the halal product industry is very important in order to optimize existing resources and create a good communication climate between the government and the community

Abstract

Masa pra sekolah merupakan tahapan yang sangat berarti dalam kehidupan seseorang, yang sangat mempengaruhi tahap perkembangan selanjutnya maka diperlukan perhatian lebih pada aspek-aspek perkembangan yang ada. Aspek perkembangan kognitif adalah aspek yang penting dikembangkan secara maksimal. Pengembangan aspek kognitif salah satunya dapat dilakukan melalui media beam number. Tujuan Penelitian ini guna untuk mengetahui penerapan atau pelaksanaan media beam number dalam kemampuan mengenal angka 1-10 untuk anak usia 4-5 tahun. Metode yang digunakandalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Dalam pengamatan ini peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara,, dan dokumentasi, dan pengamatan tersebut menggunakan analisis deskriftif kuantitatif. Peneliti melalukan pengamatan sebanyak 8 kali. Pengamatan tersebut menghasilkan bahwa peningkatan mengenal angka untuk anak kelompok A adanya peningkatan pada pra siklus sebesar 29,5%, kemudian pada siklus 1 terjadi kemajuan sebesar 65%, dan siklus II meningkat sebesar 100%. Media beam number adalah salah satu media alternatif untuk mengenal angka usia 4-5 tahun
