Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a behavior formed by learning that enables a person or family to help themselves in terms of health and actively participate in improving the health of their community. To reduce health financing, PHBS is one of the main pillars of Healthy Indonesia. One important component in the process of Human Resources (HR) development is health, which includes education. In Indonesia, formal education starts at the Primary School (SD) level, with an emphasis on children aged six to twelve, which is an age vulnerable to disease. Promoting healthy lifestyles among students is crucial given the importance of health for the growth of human capital, the nature of primary school-age children, and how behavior affects health. It is imperative to encourage primary school students to lead a healthy lifestyle due to the fact that health is essential for the growth of human capital, the nature of primary school-age children, and how behavior affects their health. This community service uses a hands-on approach that allows for quick action. To achieve the goal, the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) program is used to increase the awareness of teachers and students. The methods used included instruction, mentoring, counseling, and self-practice of PHBS as well as provision of basic facilities. The results included increased knowledge of teachers and students of SD Negeri 096125 Tobasari about PHBS, daily application of PHBS values, and availability of public trash bins.

Abstract

The economic empowerment of vulnerable women in Agam Regency is an endeavor aimed at facilitating the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 focusing on gender equality and women's empowerment. Within Agam Regency, vulnerable women encounter a multitude of obstacles such as violence, divorce, poverty, and the consequences of natural calamities, all of which contribute to their state of helplessness. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia in partnership with Non-Governmental Organizations (Tabik DC), the empowerment initiative seeks to enhance the capabilities and financial autonomy of vulnerable women through gender-centric entrepreneurship guidance. This research endeavors to evaluate the efficacy of the program and its efficacy in advancing the SDGs. Employing a mixed methods approach, the study encompasses a survey involving 50 vulnerable women from three sub-districts (Baso, Ampek Angkek, Tilatang Kamang). The findings reveal that the program has effectively transformed the mindset of participants while enhancing their entrepreneurial acumen and knowledge in business management. Furthermore, it has played a pivotal role in bolstering self-esteem and financial self-sufficiency among the beneficiaries. By and large, this empowerment scheme significantly contributes to the attainment of the SDGs, notably SDG 5 concerning gender equality and women's empowerment. In conclusion, the economic empowerment program, centered on gender-specific technical guidance in Agam Regency, has triumphed in realizing its objectives of enhancing the capacities and financial autonomy of vulnerable women, thereby aiding in the accomplishment of the SDGs.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Chin Tuck Against Resistance (CTAR) intervention is rarely utilized by nurses in treating dysphagia among stroke patients. Symptoms arising from a stroke can differ based on the affected brain area, encompassing speech disorders, chewing and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), limb paralysis or weakness, personality alterations, emotional disturbances, diminished cognitive abilities, impaired urinary function, and others. The use of Evidence-Based Nursing Practice (EBNP) is conducted to comprehend the impact of implementing chin tuck against resistance (CTAR) on improving swallowing muscle strength in stroke patients with dysphagia. In this study, the data were analyzed using univariate data analysis to evaluate the demographic characteristics and swallowing ability profiles of each respondent. Furthermore, the statistical test of influence was conducted using a paired t-test to assess changes in swallowing ability after undergoing CTAR rehabilitation exercises. Sampling in this study utilized the total sample method, involving 8 respondents. The CTAR intervention has been shown to significantly improve swallowing ability in stroke patients. The results indicate a meaningful increase from an average of 84.3 to 91.7 post-intervention, with an effect size of 4.59 and a p-value of 0.022, demonstrating the statistical effectiveness of this therapy. Furthermore, CTAR exercises are convenient to implement, time-efficient, and can be performed by patients without disrupting their daily routines. To enhance its effectiveness, it is recommended to involve patients and their families in the education process, enabling them to continue the exercises independently. The simplicity of these exercises facilitates nurses in providing interventions during nursing care for stroke patients experiencing dysphagia. Keywords: Evidence Based Practice Chin Tuck Against Resistance (CTAR), Dysphagia, Stroke Patients  ABSTRAK Intervensi Chin Tuck Exercise (CTAR) jarang digunakan oleh perawat untuk mengatasi disfagia pada pasien stroke.

Abstract

In the era of industry and technology in Indonesia, environmental problems due to waste are problems that require wise handling. Fly Ash (FA) waste from PLTU activities and Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) waste resulting from the palm oil production process are very abundant, thus polluting the environment. Indonesia is currently prioritizing physical infrastructure development, which aims to improve connectivity and encourage economic growth in every sector. The development process that occurs increases the use of concrete. Concrete has a tremendous impact on the environment because most of its composition is cement. The use of cement in the manufacture of concrete results in the emission of large amounts of CO2 gas into the atmosphere, which causes an increase in global warming. The use of concrete can have a lower environmental impact if the use of cement is reduced as much as possible by adding a mixture of FA and SBE wastes. This research will utilize FA and SBE waste in the manufacture of normal concrete production weights and aim to determine the optimal composition of FA and SBE waste that is economically and environmentally feasible. The results of the research by applying FA and SBE substitutions show that FA is better than bleaching earth in the resulting compressive strength. The optimal composition of FA as a substitute for cement to achieve the quality of the planned concrete is 15%, while the composition of SBE as a substitute for cement is 10%. Keywords: concrete, Fly Ash (FA), Spent bleaching earth (SBE), concrete compressive strength  ABSTRAK In the era of industry and technology in Indonesia, environmental problems due to waste are problems that require wise handling. Abstract

Sexual education is a fundamental aspect of learning in elementary schools to equip students with a proper understanding of reproductive health, physical changes, as well as the concepts of personal boundaries and protection against sexual violence. However, in practice, many teachers face challenges in delivering this material effectively due to a lack of understanding, limited learning resources, and social stigma surrounding the topic. Therefore, innovation in learning media is needed to help teachers comprehend and teach sexual education more interactively and systematically. This study aims to explore the use of Digital Pop-Up Books as an innovative solution to enhance elementary school teachers' understanding of sexual education. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, utilizing literature studies and limited trials with a number of elementary school teachers. The research findings indicate that Digital Pop-Up Books provide a more engaging learning experience and facilitate teachers in understanding and delivering sexual education material. This medium integrates visual and interactive elements, which not only improve teachers' conceptual understanding but also aid in conveying the material more effectively and in accordance with students' cognitive development levels. By utilizing digital technology, Digital Pop-Up Books can serve as a flexible, easily accessible learning medium that can be adapted to the needs of teachers and the characteristics of students. This study recommends further development of Digital Pop-Up Book content to ensure greater relevance to the educational curriculum and support effective learning in elementary schools. Thus, this innovation has the potential to be an effective solution in addressing the challenges faced by teachers in teaching comprehensive sexual education in a culturally appropriate manner in Indonesia.
