Abstract

This study aims to develop a military character education model based on the values of Hubbul Wathan Minal Iman among Naval Academy cadets at Bumi Moro Kerembangan, Surabaya. The study is motivated by the importance of strengthening religious and nationalist character in shaping professional, disciplined, patriotic, and high-integrity Indonesian Naval officers amid the challenges of globalization and moral degradation among younger generations. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using Library Research methods. Data were collected through literature studies from scientific journals, books, academic articles, and relevant documents related to character education, military education, religious nationalism, and the concept of Hubbul Wathan Minal Iman. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to examine and synthesize various theories and findings from previous studies. The findings indicate that the values of Hubbul Wathan Minal Iman are highly relevant to the development of cadets’ character through the integration of religiosity, nationalism, discipline, loyalty, and the spirit of defending the nation. An effective character education model can be implemented through curriculum integration, spiritual and mental development, exemplary leadership from instructors, academy culture, and disciplined daily habits among cadets. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a military character education model that integrates the concept of religious nationalism into the military education system at the Naval Academy as a strategy for strengthening morality, ideology, and patriotism among future Indonesian Naval officers

Abstract

This study examines the needs analysis and inclusive education service strategies for slow learners at SD Negeri 1 Glagah. The underlying issue of this research is that inclusive education services have been implemented through the admission of students with special needs into regular classrooms; however, learning services still require more systematic individualized adjustments. This study aims to identify the learning needs of slow learners, describe the current condition of inclusive education services, and formulate appropriate service strategies to support adaptive learning. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The primary subject of the study was one slow learner student, while supporting informants included the classroom teacher, school principal, and parents. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the student was able to recognize numbers from 1 to 20 and perform simple addition and subtraction, but still experienced difficulties in understanding word problems, maintaining attention, and completing tasks independently. Socially, the student was able to interact with peers and follow teachers’ instructions. Inclusive education services at the school were still predominantly classical in nature, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) had not yet been systematically developed. The recommended strategies include the development of an Individualized Education Program, step-by-step instruction, the use of concrete learning media, simple instructions, adaptive evaluation, and collaboration among teachers, schools, and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning motivation through the implementation of active learning methods in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for fourth-grade students at SDN 104 Bengkulu City. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ motivation, which can be seen from their lack of active participation, interest, and involvement in the learning process. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with both qualitative and quantitative approaches, carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while the data analysis used a descriptive technique. The results show that the application of active learning methods can significantly improve students’ learning motivation. This can be seen from the increase in students’ participation during lessons, their confidence in asking and answering questions, as well as the improvement in learning outcomes in each cycle. Therefore, active learning methods are proven to be effective in improving students’ motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for fourth-grade students at SDN 104 Bengkulu City.

Abstract

Burns are a condition where there is damage to the epidermis layer down to the dermis layer. The skin structure sustains damage from the epithelium to the basal layer of the dermis. You can use the herbal Chinese pepper (Peperomia pellucida L.) for burn treatment. This study aims to evaluate the impact of administering Chinese betel leaf ointment, with variations in concentration and formula, on the duration of burn wound healing and the diameter of wound closure. Methods There were 30 Mus musculus mice in this study. Divided them into five groups: a regular group without burns, a positive control group that received gentamicin, treatment group 1 that received a low concentration 5% ethanol extract of Chinese betel leaf (EECB) ointment, a treatment group 2 that received a low concentration 10% EECB ointment, and a treatment group 3 that received a high concentration 15% EECB ointment. Results demonstrate wound closure activity by measuring the diameter of burn wounds treated with a 15% concentration of Chinese pepper ointment on the 18th day and a 15% concentration closed the burn wound. Histopathological differences were seen in the K3 group, where collagen density scored +3 (±0.06). We found a very weak positive correlation (0.000) between histopathology (collagen) and wound diameter and a strong negative correlation (-0.0527) between the histopathological parameter (collagen) and the duration of burn wound healing. Conclusion. The research concludes that the effectiveness of administering Chinese betel leaf ointment with a concentration of 15% was obtained
