There are limited studies on the diagnosis of heat and temperature misconceptions using a four-tier instrument diagnostic test. Therefore, this study aims to identify misconceptions in heat and temperature material. The survey research was conducted on 164 students at SMAN 2 Bantul. Students were selected using a convenience sampling technique. Identification of student misconceptions using the Four Tier Heat and Temperature Diagnostic Test (4T-HTDT). Students' conceptual understanding is calculated using the percentage technique. The results of this study indicate that there are still many students who have misconceptions on the concept of "heat-temperature as an extensive quantity" and "heat-temperature depends on material objects". The findings are expected to be a strategic step for designing appropriate remedial teaching.

Learning management systems (LMS) have become a key component of teaching and learning in schools. However, the evaluation of student acceptance rates on its implementation so far has not been widely reported. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the acceptance rate of LMS among students in terms of gender and grade level. The level of student acceptance of the LMS in administration through an online survey using Google forms. A total of 141 students who took physics subjects from class XI and XII, one of the vocational high schools were involved. Acceptance of the LMS uses a 21-item LMSAS (Learning Management System Acceptability Scale) developed by Sezer and Yilmaz in 2019. The LMSAS uses a 5-point Likert scale, from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). LMS acceptance components include Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Facilitating Condition (FC), and Social Influence (SI). Wright map and Logit Value of Person (LVP) were used to assess LMS acceptance among students. The analysis results show that student acceptance of the LMS is distributed chiefly at a good level of acceptance. As many as 84% of students received the LMS. Based on gender, 65% of male students are quite accepting of the LMS. Based on class, class XII students are more dominant (35.5%) receiving LMS. Thus, most students in public vocational high schools welcome the LMS well.

Dengue Fever (DHF) continues to represent a significant public health threat in Indonesia and other tropical regions, with an annual increase in the number of reported cases. The primary aim of this study is to develop a predictive model for DHF by integrating the Bagging technique and the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm. The goal is to improve prediction accuracy by incorporating key environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall. The research adopts a quantitative methodology with a descriptive approach, using publicly available datasets from data.mendeley.com and conducting the analysis using RapidMiner software. The findings of the study demonstrate that the proposed model is highly effective in accurately predicting and classifying DHF cases, achieving significant precision. In addition to this, the model is successful in identifying important patterns and trends linked to the disease's occurrence. These results underscore the efficacy of combining Bagging and Decision Tree C4.5 as a robust tool for detecting and forecasting DHF outbreaks. The research contributes substantially to the field of data-driven prediction models, offering valuable insights for health agencies to develop more effective and proactive strategies for disease prevention. For future research, it is recommended that additional factors such as genetic and medical data be considered, along with the application of triangulation methods to improve the analysis's validity, scope, and overall robustness. This approach would enable a more comprehensive understanding of DHF and its predictive modeling. Keywords: DHF Prediction; Bagging; Decision Tree C4.5; Machine Learning; Data Mining

This study utilises Aqua MODIS satellite imagery from January to December 2023 to analyse Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a as primary indicators in mapping Potential Fishing Zones (PFZ) for anchovy in East Lampung. Images were filtered based on minimal cloud cover and seasonal completeness using Level 3 daily data with 1 km resolution. The spatial analysis was conducted using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to identify areas with SST between 29–31°C and chlorophyll-a concentrations above 0.2 mg/m³, which are considered optimal for anchovy habitat. The results show dynamic seasonal shifts in fishing zones influenced by oceanographic conditions. Compared to previous studies, this research provides more detailed seasonal maps and incorporates local fishing data to strengthen relevance. Despite limitations in temporal continuity due to cloud coverage, the approach demonstrates potential for efficient and sustainable fisheries management in Lampung.

This study investigates the implementation of participatory mapping activities with indigenous communities to uncover their spatial understanding of environmental issues in regional context. By combining participatory GIS with a phenomenological approach, the research aims to extract critical environmental concerns and develop prioritization schemes for planning and conservation efforts, particularly in forest and small island communities. Two case studies were conducted: the Orang Rimba community in Jambi, Indonesia, and the Lovongai community in New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea. Workshops and training sessions were held with small group in each community to identify and discuss local environmental challenges. The study revealed that the Orang Rimba community primarily concerns the decline of medicinal plant species and the threat on animal habitats, while the Lovongai community faces the pressing threat of sea-level rise. Through participatory mapping and collaborative efforts with local governments and NGOs, both communities developed potential solutions to address their respective environmental issues. It is recommended that future studies explore the long-term impacts of participatory mapping initiatives on community empowerment, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development.

This study examines the effectiveness of the Naïve Bayes and C4.5 algorithms in analyzing book borrowing patterns at the Pringsewu Muhammadiyah University Library. As libraries increasingly serve as vital educational hubs, understanding user borrowing behavior is essential for effective collection management and service enhancement. The research follows the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM), which includes stages of business understanding, data understanding, preparation, modeling, evaluation, and implementation. A dataset consisting of 5,586 records and ten attributes related to book lending was utilized, with comprehensive data cleaning and preprocessing conducted. The performance of both algorithms was assessed using K-fold cross-validation, yielding an accuracy of 96.26% for C4.5, compared to 91.44% for Naïve Bayes. These results demonstrate that C4.5 is more adept at capturing complex relationships within the data, providing deeper insights into user preferences and enhancing library services. This research underscores the potential of data mining techniques to optimize library management and proposes avenues for future investigation, such as exploring advanced machine learning algorithms and expanding datasets for use in broader library contexts.

The understanding acquired by students during the learning process significantly contributes to building a strong academic foundation and supports the development of essential life skills for the future. This research uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were Social Studies teachers. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The steps of the VCT model include: developing a complete instructional plan (scenario) outlined in the Lesson Plan (RPP) by clearly defining the targeted values; during the lesson opening, the teacher explains the learning objectives, content scope, methods, tools, and general overview; the teacher presents a stimulus and issues relevant to the learning material; students are asked to classify the material and problems, then analyze case by case, and determine their own stance along with arguments and reasoning—students are encouraged to relate the case to their own experiences; the teacher and students provide comments and engage in discussion to reinforce the students’ values; the teacher and students conclude the lesson together; 2) The advantages of the VCT include: helping students identify personal values; increasing self-awareness; encouraging responsible decision-making; developing social skills and empathy; being flexible and adaptable to various learning materials; 3) The disadvantages of the VCT are: it is not sufficient to build strong character alone; it tends to focus more on cognitive aspects and less on the affective domain; and it requires highly trained teachers. The conclusion of this study is that the VCT model can be applied in the learning process as an effort to enhance student understanding during the learning process at the Madrasah or school level.

Students in boarding schools face additional pressures due to dual curriculum, high cognitive load, personal problems such as family homesickness, feelings of not belonging, and poor sleep patterns that compound worsening student well-being. This study examines the relationship between school climate and academic hardiness with student subjective well-being, with the mediation of student engagement among students in boarding schools. Data were collected using the Student Subjective Wellbeing Questionnaire (SSWQ; CR=0.941), School Climate Scale (SCR; CR=0.895), The Academic Hardiness Scale (AHS; CR=0.921), and Student Engagement Scale (SES; CR=0.902). A total of 519 junior and senior high school students who participated in Islamic boarding school programs in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, were involved in the study. The data were analysed using AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) software to conduct structural model analysis and hypothesis validation, to evaluate the relationship between variables. The results indicated that student engagement mediates school climate and student subjective well-being. Student engagement also mediates the relationship between academic hardiness and student subjective well-being. Students in boarding schools suggested to have a positive perception of the school environment and academic hardiness in facing academic problems and challenges to achieve well-being while living in the dormitory.
