Abstract

This research is the first stage to design, develop, implement and evaluate ethnoscience integrated Vlog learning media with the ADDIE model, namely the analysis stage. This research aims to analyze students' needs and responses if an ethnoscience integrated Vlog learning media is developed. The method used in this analytical research is a survey method using questionnaires and interviews. From the results of distributing questionnaires and also interviews, it is known that respondents were 215 students at MTs Al Uswah Bergas and a science teacher with a graduate educational background of S1-Science Education. From the data analysis results, it was found that students need media that can visualize material that is difficult to imagine by students and is contextual. Students are more enthusiastic, enthusiastic, and understand the material when using media such as video shows to clear the steps. The development of ethnoscience integrated Vlog learning media was welcomed by students with 58.6% of students needing ethnoscience integrated Vlog media, 24.7% very much need and 14% less need. Based on this data analysis, it can be concluded that this analytical research needs to be continued to the design, development, implementation and evaluation stages following the ADDIE model research and development procedure to develop ethnoscience integrated Vlog media in the context of science learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA N 9 Semarang melalui pembelajaran Team Game Tournament berbantuan media Number Card. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tipe kolaboratif. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 17 April – 15 Mei 2015. Penelitian dilakukakan dalam tiga siklus. Siklus I terdiri dari enam jam pelajaran, siklus II terdiri dari tujuh jam pelajaran, dan siklus III terdiri dari enam jam pelajaran. Terdapat enam aspek keaktifan yang diamati dalam penelitian ini. Siswa dapat dikatakan aktif apabila minimal empat dari enam aspek yang diamati memperoleh minimal kategori “baik”. Pada siklus I terdapat 85,7% dari jumlah siswa yang sudah dapat dikatakan aktif, sedangkan pada siklus II dan siklus III persentase jumlah siswa yang dapat dikatakan aktif mencapai 100%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Team Game Tournament berbantuan media Number Card dapat meningkatakan keaktifan siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA N 9 Semarang.This research aims to increase the activity of class XI IPA 3 SMAN 9 Semarang through Team Game Tournament assisted Number Card learning media. This research is a type of collaborative classroom action. The study was conducted on 17 April - 15 May 2015. The study was conducted in three cycles. The first cycle consists of six hours of lessons, the second cycle consists of seven hours of lessons, and the third cycle consists of six hours of lessons. There are six aspects of the activity observed in this study. Students can be said to be active when at least four of the six aspects of the observed obtains at least "good" category. In the first cycle, terdapat 85,7% of the number of students who can already be said to be active, while in the second cycle and the third cycle the percentage of students who can be said to be active up to 100%. Based on the results of the analysis concluded that Team Game Tournament assisted Number Card learning media can increase the activity of class XI IPA 3 SMAN 9 Semarang.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran  IPA melalui  penerapan media study card dan lembar kerja siswa yang mengintegrasikan soft skills konservasi. Proses pelatihan terhadap guru-guru anggota MGMP IPA SMP/MTs di Kota Semarang telah dilakukan dan mendapatkan respon positif dari guru-guru untuk mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, efektif dan bermakna. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian guru sasaran telah mendapatkan wawasan yang baik tentang pembuatan dan implementasi media study card dan lembar kerja siswa yang mengintegrasikan soft skills konservasi.The goal of the public service is to improve the quality of science teaching through the implementation media study card and student worksheet that integrates conservation soft skills. The process of training of teachers MGMP members IPA SMP / MTs in Semarang has been done and get a positive response from teachers to support learning more active, effective and meaningful. At the end of the service activities targeting teachers have gained a good insight about the creation and implementation of media study cards and worksheets that integrate conservation soft skills.

Abstract

Nowadays scientific literacy is a concern in the world of education. Various efforts have been made by the Government to improve students' scientific literacy. Efforts are made by changing the current curriculum. However, this has not been followed by the availability of assessment instruments or evaluation tools used to measure students' scientific literacy. The results of observations carried out show that currently the evaluation tool used is only to measure students’ knowledge. This study aims to develop an evaluation tool based on aspects of scientific literacy competence on the theme of the solar system. This study also aims to determine the scientific literacy profile of students through Item Response Theory (IRT) analysis. The research was conducted with a sample of 256 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Salatiga. IRT analysis using the BILOG MG computer program with a 2-parameter logistic model (2-PL). The results of the item analysis showed that of the 30 items, there was one item (item 25) that had a minus biserial correlation value, so item 25 that no calculations for the next phase. From the analysis of the difficulty level index, 86% of the items have a good difficulty index and all items have a good differentiation of problem index. The results of the students' abilities showed that the average obtained was -0.0143. The mean ability with a minus value indicates that most of the students have low abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to reconstruct community science into scientific science in dumbeg production in Polandak village, Pancur District, Rembang Regency. The expected benefits in this study are to be used as an alternative source of contextual learning in schools, within the scope of science. The method used is descriptive qualitative through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and study of dumbeg production documentation. The focus of the research is the dumbeg production process from the preparation stage of the material, to the processing of materials. Data processing techniques in this study include analysis, verification, and the process of reconstructing community science into scientific science. The results of the study show that the scientific concepts contained in dumbeg production can be used as learning resources for science learning both at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Abstract

Education is the most important thing in preparing quality young people in the 21st century. The results of the analysis of learning in several secondary schools show that there are still several obstacles in the learning process, including the limited learning resources of students who only use the 2013 curriculum BSE books and have not approached the Ethno-STEM . This study aims to develop an E-Module with an Ethno-STEM Approach on Traditional Musical Instruments with Vibration, Waves, and Sound Materials to develop students' 21st century skills. This study uses a development research method (RD) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research data were taken using a questionnaire and test method. This development research resulted in an e-module with the characteristics of integrating the STEM approach with ethnoscience and the development of 21st century skills of students which include critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, collaboration skills, and communication skills and equipped with evaluation questions containing ethnoscience. The results of the e-module validation assessment showed that it was very feasible with an average percentage of 87.75% and received a very good response from students with a percentage of 82.9%. The developed e-module is very effectively used as an additional learning resource for students with an effectiveness score of 83.72.

Abstract

During online learning, students are generally asked to study practicum procedures that have been provided by the lecturer, then they are given raw data from practicum results in the previous semester for analysis and preparation of practicum reports. Another method used is to provide demonstration videos or use digital applications such as virtual labs. In general, students can attend lectures smoothly and well, but many also say that this method is boring because there is almost no difference with theoretical classes. The object of the research is second semester chemistry students, which consists of 1 class of chemistry program and 1 class of chemistry education program. The research begins with a pretest, then students carry out the planned learning, then ends with a posttest and filling out a questionnaire. The project in the do lab at home practicum is specified to titrate a solution of vinegar with a solution of baking soda or vice versa. Each student prepares a buffer solution with various pH according to the instructions of sub-project 1, makes an acid-base indicator solution from natural materials according to the instructions of sub-project 3, and determines the RGB ratio of a buffer solution that has been given a natural acid-base indicator using the instructions of the sub-project.  In quantity, all students upload practicum videos, with a duration ranging from 8-15 minutes.  Based on the results of the practicum videos uploaded by students, the first creativity that can be seen immediately is the composition of video editing, such as sound quality, image quality, and the addition of information in the video. In this study, in general, it can be said that students are in the development stage for the fluency-brainstorming indicator.  Just like fluency indicators, flexibility indicators are also generally still in the developing stage, they still need help in taking new perspectives. Making videos, although not the main product, can train students' skills, including creative thinking. In detail, risk taking indicators are further divided into 2, namely risk taking-1 and risk taking-2. Most of the students are at the developing level for the risk taking-1 indicator.

Abstract

Paradigma pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa (learner centered) menuntut dan menantang guru untuk dapat memberdayakan siswa agar memiliki keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan peningkatan penerapan model PBL pada mareti larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit dan konsep redoks berbantuan media transvisi terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Randublatung. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest and postest group design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas X.A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X.C sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh dan peningkatan yang signifikan penerapan model PBL berbantuan media transvisi terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa. Besarnya pengaruh penerapan model PBL berbantuan media transvisi terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa masing-masing 62,39% dan 49,43%. Peningkatan secara signifikan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa ditunjukkan dengan harga t paired berturut-turut 21,99 dan 28,21 lebih besar dari t tabel 2,03. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penerapan model PBL pada materi larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit dan konsep redoks berbantuan media transvisi memberikan pengaruh dan peningkatan terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Randublatung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas peta konsep dan diagram vee terhadap kenaikan attitude toward chemistry siswa. Peningkatan attitude toward chemistry selanjutnya dianalisis hubunganya dengan hasil belajar siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X semester genap SMA Negeri 1 Ambarawa tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest and postest group design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling. Hasil analisis menyatakan adanya peningkatan attitude toward chemistry dengan besaran harga n-gain adalah 0,43. Hubungan antara peningkatan attitude toward chemistry terhadap hasil belajar menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,853. Hubungan antara peningkatan attitude toward chemistry terhadap kualitas peta konsep menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,680. Hubungan antara peningkatan attitude toward chemistry terhadap kualitas diagram vee menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,715. Penggunaan peta konsep dan diagram vee pada kelas eksperimen dengan batas KKM 71 dapat memenuhi ketuntasan klasikal 75%, dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen sebesar 82,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan adanya hubungan antara peta konsep, diagram vee, dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap attitude toward chemistry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan untuk menghasilkan media flash flip book berbasis guided discovery yang layak dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kimia siswa SMA. Metode penelitian menggunakan three-D model yang meliputi pendefinisian, perancangan dan pengembangan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA di SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. Desain penelitian menggunakan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Penilaian tingkat kelayakan media didasarkan pada penilaian Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan yang telah disesuaikan. Uji efektifitas mengunakan gain ternormalisasi serta persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal-soal yang mengandung indikator pemecahan masalah. Hasil uji kelayakan media yang meliputi aspek kelayakan isi, penyajian, kegrafikan dan bahasa berturut-turut adalah 95,31%; 94,08%; 94,79% dan 93,79% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji gain ternormalisasi dan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal menunjukkan kriteria sedang dan tuntas dengan nilai 0,66 dan 96,67%. Tanggapan siswa dan guru sangat baik dengan persentase mencapai 96,75 % dan 95%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan media flash flip book berbasis guided discovery yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kimia siswa SMA.
