Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource management practices, economic indicators, and tax compliance on the financial performance of Indonesian banks operating in international markets. This study uses quantitative research methods to examine the influence of human resource management practices, economic indicators, and tax compliance on the financial performance of Indonesian banks operating in international markets. Data were collected from 46 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange through questionnaires and secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS 3.0). The results show that human resource practices have a significant positive effect on economic indicators and tax compliance. These two variables directly improve bank financial performance and also mediate the relationship between human resource practices and financial performance. These findings confirm that integrating human resource strategies with economic dynamics and regulatory compliance is crucial in enhancing bank competitiveness in the global market. This study suggests that banks need to invest resources in employee training and strengthening compliance systems to optimize financial performance. This study expands understanding of the mediating role of external indicators in the relationship between human resource practices and organizational outcomes.

Abstract

This community service project aims to strengthen the synergy between Karang Taruna (youth organizations) and regional governments to accelerate the development of local cultural tourism as a driver for rural economic growth. The initiative was implemented across four distinct locations representing Indonesia's geographical diversity: Desa Wisata Detusoko Barat (East Nusa Tenggara - representing the broader Sulawesi/Eastern region transition), Desa Muara Jambi (Sumatra), Desa Sade (Lombok/Java transition logic - replaced for specific requested islands), namely: Desa Wisata Kebarit (Sumatra), Desa Wisata Pentagen (Sumatra), Desa Wisata Pujon Kidul (Java), Desa Terih (Kalimantan/Batam transition), and Desa Lakkang (Sulawesi). This article specifically focuses on four locations: Desa Wisata Pentagen (Jambi, Sumatra), Desa Wisata Pujon Kidul (Malang, Java), Desa Wisata Matano (Luwu Timur, Sulawesi), and Desa Wisata Loksado (Hulu Sungai Selatan, Kalimantan). The methodology involves participatory mapping, tourism management training, and digital marketing workshops. Results indicate that collaborative governance significantly enhances the capacity of youth in managing cultural assets, leading to increased visitor numbers and MSME revenue. This study concludes that the "Youth-Government-Culture" triad is a robust model for sustainable rural development in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

National resilience in the era of information disruption faces serious challenges in the form of increasing disinformation flows, weakening social cohesion, and the potential for socio-political conflicts that have an impact on economic stability. The background of the issue underscores the importance of the strategic role of public broadcasting media in supporting Indonesia's non-military defense system. This study aims to analyze the contribution of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) to strengthen non-military defense and evaluate its relationship with national economic stability. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature study, with a conceptual framework based on the AGHT (Threat, Disruption, Obstacle, Challenge) model and Early Warning Mechanism (EWM). Data is collected from relevant secondary sources, including policy documents, academic publications, and related institutional reports. The results of the study show that RRI plays a role as a trusted public information channel in building awareness of defending the country, strengthening social integration, and countering disinformation narratives that have the potential to trigger instability. The existence of RRI in border areas and conflict-prone areas shows its effectiveness in maintaining national cohesion. RRI creates a communication climate conducive to social and economic stability. The conclusion of this study is that RRI is a strategic instrument of the state in the non-military defense system. Through educational and informative functions that are carried out in a neutral and broad manner, RRI not only strengthens national resilience, but also provides a communication foundation that supports the sustainability of Indonesia's development and economic stability.

Abstract

This article discusses efforts to increase student and community awareness in maintaining the cleanliness of the area around the Sunan Giri University Surabaya campus. Low initiative and collective responsibility were identified as the main problem in sanitation management in the campus buffer area, which resulted in the accumulation of waste in rivers, riverbanks, and the campus area. This community service activity used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which was carried out in a collaborative cycle including problem mapping, action planning, activity implementation, and reflection. A total of 82 students, working together with the local community and Environmental Agency officers, were actively involved in river cleaning activities, removing water hyacinth, collecting organic and non-organic waste, and arranging the campus area. The results of the activities showed an increase in collective awareness of participants, characterized by the emergence of initiative, concern, and a sense of ownership of the environment. This improvement had a direct impact on the physical cleanliness of the area significantly, thus creating a healthier, more comfortable, and aesthetic environment. This community service activity concluded that the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was effective in empowering communities, fostering a culture of environmental awareness, and developing sustainable hygiene habits. These findings provide an intervention model that can be replicated in other educational institutions to increase environmental awareness among the younger generation.

Abstract

Accounting practices are influenced by environmental factors such as economics, politics, culture, and demographics. While the influence of culture on social behavior has been extensively researched, the study of its impact on accounting practices is relatively new. Accounting, as a social science, develops through various paradigms and can adapt to the social, cultural, and religious environments in which it develops. In Mareku Village, Tidore Islands City, there is a boleta tradition that embodies social values such as mutual assistance and cooperation, and serves as a guide for community life. The aim of this research is to find out the perspective of the people of Mareku subdistrict in interpreting boleta. This research used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, with four informants who were directly involved in boleta activities. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data testing technique uses triangulation. Based on the results of the analysis, three meanings can be found from the perspective of the Mareku sub-district community from boleta (donation) activities, namely; as a form of sincerity, as an effort to build brotherhood, and as a moral responsibility.

Abstract

The presence of weeds in the campus environment not only reduces aesthetics but also inhibits the growth of main plants through nutrient competition. This program aims to restore the beauty and aesthetics of the campus, as well as foster an environmentally conscious character in the younger generation through this collective action. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves active participation from students in planning, action, and observation. This technical implementation is carried out through a mutual cooperation mechanism that includes manual weed removal, sweeping, containerization into trash bags, weed waste processing, and weed transportation to the final disposal site. The results of the activity resulted in significant changes in the campus area environment looking neater, cleaner, and more beautiful. And it can be concluded that the participatory approach is effective in campus environmental management, and it is recommended that this action be carried out regularly to realize the vision of a green campus.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal protection afforded to recipients of land rights acquired through execution auctions involving fiduciary security and mortgage rights, focusing on the identification of legal gaps, substantive risks, and the construction of a due diligence mechanism. The method employed is normative legal research utilizing legislative, jurisprudential, and doctrinal approaches. The results indicate that the legal protection for auction winners possesses a strong normative basis within the Mortgage Rights Law and the Fiduciary Security Law, reinforced by Supreme Court jurisprudence that protects auction winners acting in good faith. However, the primary legal gap lies in the imperfection of the land registration system, the existence of unrecorded third-party rights, and vulnerability to procedural defects in the auction. Substantive risks faced by auction winners include ownership disputes, claims from heirs, the presence of physical occupants, as well as uncertainty regarding spatial planning status and tax liabilities. To mitigate these risks, the study formulates an effective due diligence framework encompassing verification of certificate legality, physical and social field inspections, tracing of encumbrances from agreements, and confirmation of spatial compliance. It is concluded that auction winners must transition from reliance on passive legal protection towards an active approach through comprehensive due diligence, while regulators need to enhance transparency regarding auction object information.

Abstract

This normative legal study examines the validity of private deeds of sale and purchase (AJB) and their standing as evidence in land ownership disputes in Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative literature review, the research analyzes primary regulations including the Civil Code, the Agrarian Law, and the Land Registration Government Regulation. The findings reveal a fundamental legal hierarchy between notarial/PPAT deeds and private deeds. Notarial deeds possess perfect evidentiary strength, executive force, and are the sole legal basis for registering land rights transfer at the Land Office. Conversely, private deeds have only relative evidentiary value, contingent upon signature authentication and corroborating evidence. The legal consequence is severe: transactions based on private deeds cannot be registered, preventing the legal transfer of ownership and leaving the buyer without formal state protection. In court disputes, private deeds are treated as preliminary evidence but are insufficient to establish ownership; judges typically order the creation of a notarial deed or award compensation rather than directly granting property rights. The study concludes that while private deeds may prove the existence of a contractual agreement, they fail to produce the definitive legal effects of notarial deeds, especially concerning land registration and conclusive proof of title. This legal uncertainty underscores the critical importance of formalizing land transactions through authorized officials to ensure security of tenure and prevent protracted disputes.
