Abstract

Modern cell theory is the basis of biological understanding which states that cells are the structural and functional units of life, cell division underlies growth and reproduction, and each cell originates from the previous cell. This study aims to analyze the relevance of modern cell theory to the verses of the Qur'an regarding the creation of living things. The study was conducted in May - June 2025 at the Biology Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya using qualitative methods and a literature study approach. Data were collected through a search of cell biology literature and interpretation of Qur'anic verses regarding the creation of living things. Data analysis was carried out by content analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the concept of cells as structural and functional units of life is in line with QS Al-Anbiya' [21]:30 about water as the basis of life, the concept of cell division (mitosis and meiosis) is in line with QS Al-Mu'minun [23]:13-14 about embryonic development, the concept of differentiation and cell specialization is relevant to QS Al-Alaq [96]:2 about the creation of humans from 'alaqah, and the concept of Omnis cellula e cellula is in line with QS Az-Zariyat [51]:49 about the creation of pairs. The conclusion of this study shows the integration of science and Islam that mutually strengthen the understanding of cell biology and the value of faith. This study is expected to be the basis for the development of Cell Biology teaching materials based on the integration of science and Islam to improve scientific literacy and the religious character of students.

Abstract

The childfree phenomenon, defined as a conscious decision not to have children, has sparked public debate, especially after influencer Gita Savitri Devi (Gitasav) openly expressed her views on social media. Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era, represents an interesting group to study because they have extensive access to information and are accustomed to shaping opinions through social media platforms. This research aims to analyze Gen Z’s reception of the childfree discourse in Gitasav’s content using Stuart Hall’s reception theory, which categorizes audience responses into three positions: dominant hegemonic position, negotiated position, and oppositional position. The study employs a qualitative approach with the reception study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five Gen Z informants who are students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. The results show that Gen Z’s reception is divided into three main positions: (1) full acceptance of the childfree perspective as a form of individual freedom (dominant position), (2) selective acceptance by aligning it with cultural and religious values (negotiated position), and (3) complete rejection based on religious norms and social traditions (oppositional position). Factors such as religious background, cultural values, personal experiences, and the intensity of social media exposure influence the formation of these receptions. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pelanggaran etika profesi yang terjadi pada PT Indah Pontjhan Medan Sumatera Utara, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang perkebunan kelapa sawit. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji meliputi ketidaksinkronan data Hak Guna Usaha (HGU), dugaan manipulasi Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (PBB), serta pengelolaan lahan yang diduga berada di kawasan hutan dan tanah milik masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi dokumen dan analisis kasus berdasarkan prinsip etika profesi dan teori etika, yaitu utilitarianisme, deontologi, dan etika kebajikan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PT Indah Pontjhan telah melanggar prinsip integritas, objektivitas, kompetensi profesional, dan perilaku profesional. Pelanggaran tersebut berdampak pada menurunnya kepercayaan masyarakat, potensi kerugian negara, serta munculnya risiko hukum dan konflik sosial. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan dilakukannya audit menyeluruh terhadap legalitas lahan dan perizinan, perbaikan tata kelola perusahaan, serta penguatan penerapan etika profesi guna mencegah terulangnya pelanggaran di masa depan.

Abstract

The disparity in employee productivity among organizations within the same industry has necessitated advancements in human resource management. Consequently, Islamic Human Capital management emerges as a practical approach to enhance staff productivity. This research, conducted at Istana Laundry Samarinda, aims to provide insights into how Islamic Human Capital management and remuneration influence staff productivity, offering valuable guidance for HR strategies. The study employed quantitative methodologies with a sample of 65 employees. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used as the instrument. Multiple linear regression analysis was utilized as one of the analytical strategies. The findings suggest that Islamic Human Capital management enhances employee productivity, whereas remuneration does not. Based on these results, it is recommended that Istana Laundry improve its Islamic Human Capital management and evaluate its compensation system to boost employee productivity.

Abstract

This study examines Bruce Wayne’s psychological dynamics in The Batman (2022) using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, with a focus on the ego’s role in mediating trauma and moral conflict. This study analyzes how Wayne’s unresolved childhood trauma and dual identity as a vigilante reflect the interplay between the id, ego, and superego. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, this study analyzes purposively selected scenes and dialogues from The Batman using close textual analysis. Audience reception data further support the interpretation of Wayne’s character as a psychologically complex figure. The findings reveal that Wayne’s ego adapts to internal and external pressures through ethical compromises, illustrating Freud’s theory of ego functioning. This study contributes to contemporary literary and film criticism by offering a psychoanalytic perspective on trauma and identity in modern superhero narratives.

Abstract

The Universitas Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama Kebumen Community Service Program is a tangible manifestation of students' academic obligations under the guidance of lecturers. Through community service activities in Sanguwatang Village, there is direct interaction between students and the community as a form of community service. One of the work programs carried out in Sanguwatang Village was a volleyball training activity for students of Sanguwatang 1 Public Elementary School, which aimed to contribute to increasing students' interest and skills in sports from an early age.This volleyball training was carried out on a scheduled basis and involved students from grade 6. The training material covered an introduction to basic techniques such as serving, passing, smashing, and teamwork exercises through mini games. The activity took place on the school field and was enthusiastically received by the students and teachers. Through this activity, it is hoped that students can develop their physical potential, strengthen their character through sportsmanship, and make sports a part of a healthy lifestyle. The training also serves as an interactive learning platform between students and teachers in an educational and enjoyable atmosphere.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower female heads of households in the Bunda Sehati Community of Palangka Raya by enhancing their vocational skills and promoting sustainable waste management through the creative reuse of textile scraps. The service was implemented using a participatory community empowerment approach, emphasizing active engagement in each phase, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Activities included technical training in sewing and crafting mascot dolls inspired by Central Kalimantan culture, financial literacy sessions, and digital marketing workshops. A Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama/KUB) was formed to sustain production and marketing efforts beyond the program. The evaluation combined quantitative and qualitative methods through pre- and post-program questionnaires, observations, focus group discussions, and income tracking. The results showed significant improvements in participants’ technical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge. Over 90% of participants completed all training modules, and more than 30% reported an increase in household income from product sales. Additionally, participants demonstrated greater awareness of the environmental impact of textile waste. The establishment of a functioning KUB enabled collaboration and continuity of the initiative. The program proved effective in achieving its goals by empowering economically vulnerable women, fostering sustainable micro-business development, and encouraging environmentally responsible practices. This model of community engagement can be adapted and scaled in other regions facing similar socio-economic and environmental challenges.

Abstract

Abstract: Physical fitness is an important aspect in carrying out physical and daily activities without experiencing significant fatigue. This study aims to determine the level of physical fitness of students of the Sports Education Department of Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama University, Kebumen, semester 1 employee class. The research method used in this study is descriptive quantitative with a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 12 male students of the employee class aged 20–25 years. This research instrument uses a multistage fitness test (Bleep Test) and is analyzed using SPSS.25. The results of the study show that the fitness categories of students vary, consisting of 16.7% in the poor category, 66.7% in the moderate category, and 66.7% in the good category. The average VO₂max of students is 39.8 ml/kg/minute, which is in the moderate category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that most students have a fairly good level of aerobic fitness, although there are still students with low fitness conditions who need attention in the exercise program. Keywords: Physical fitness, Bleep test, VO₂max   Abstrak: Kebugaran jasmani merupakan aspek penting dalam menjalankan aktifitas fisik maupun sehari-hari tanpa mengalami kelelahan yang berarti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa Pendidikan Olahraga Universitas Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama Kebumen kelas karyawan semester 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling jumlah sampel 12 mahasiswa laki-laki kelas karyawan berusia 20–25 tahun. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes kebugaran multistage (Bleep Test) dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS.25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kategori kebugaran mahasiswa bervariasi, terdiri dari 16,7% kategori kurang, 66,7% kategori sedang, dan 66,7% kategori baik. Rata-rata VO₂max mahasiswa sebesar 39,8 ml/kg/menit, yang berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kebugaran aerobik yang cukup baik, meskipun masih terdapat mahasiswa dengan kondisi kebugaran rendah yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian dalam program latihan. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the teaching game learning model in improving decision-making and basketball teamwork of students at SMP Negeri 3 Purwanegara. This study used an experimental approach. Data were obtained from direct observation of the research subjects. The research instrument has been validated using CVR (0.99). The population included all 66 students of class VIII. While the sample included all 20 students of class VIII B. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that the application of the teaching game model was able to improve the ability of cooperation and decision-making in basketball of class VIII students at SMP N 3 Purwanegara, especially in the aspect of cooperation. It was indicated by the results of the Wilcoxon test analysis which showed a significant difference in the results of the pretest and posttest with a Z score <0.001 in the decision-making aspect. And a Z score <0.001 in the aspect of cooperation. Keywords: Teaching game, Basketball, Decision making, Cooperation     Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran teaching game dalam meningkatkan pengambilan keputusan dan kerja sama bola basket siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Purwanegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi langsung terhadap subjek penelitian. Instrumen penelitian telah divalidasi menggunakan CVR (0,99). Populasi mecakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII berjumlah 66 siswa. Sedangkan sampel mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan model teaching game mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama dan pengambilan keputusan dalam bola basket siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 3 Purwanegara terlebih pada aspek kerja sama. Ditunjukkan dengan hasil analisis uji wilcoxon yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan tehadap hasil pretest dan posttest dengan Z skor < 0,001 pada aspek pengambilan keputusan. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of the play-based method on improving overhead passing skills in volleyball among sixth- grade students at SD Negeri Karangsari. The research employed a quasi- experimental design using a One Group Pretest–Posttest model. The subjects consisted of 20 students who participated in a pretest, play-based learning activities, and a posttest to measure skill development. The research instrument was the AAHPERD overhead passing test, which assessed accuracy and movement consistency. The results showed a significant improvement between pretest and posttest scores. Hypothesis testing using a Paired Sample t-Test produced a t-value of -63.803 with a significance level of 0.000. The mean score difference of -64.55 indicated that posttest scores were substantially higher than pretest scores. These findings demonstrate that the play-based method effectively enhances basic technical skills, motor abilities, coordination, focus, and students’ self- confidence, making it suitable for physical education learning aligned with children’s developmental characteristics. Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan model One Group Pretest–Posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa yang mengikuti tes awal, pembelajaran berbasis permainan, dan tes akhir untuk mengukur perkembangan keterampilan. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes passing atas AAHPERD yang menilai ketepatan serta konsistensi gerak. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Uji hipotesis melalui Paired Sample t-Test menghasilkan nilai t hitung sebesar -63,803 dengan signifikansi 0,000. Rata-rata perbedaan skor sebesar -64,55 menunjukkan hasil posttest lebih tinggi. Temuan ini membuktikan metode bermain efektif meningkatkan teknik dasar, kemampuan motorik, koordinasi, fokus, dan kepercayaan diri siswa, serta layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PJOK sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak sekolah dasar formal.
