Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the Kahoot! application as a tool for student learning evaluation at the elementary school level. Using a literature review method, the researchers analyzed various relevant journals and scientific articles to assess the advantages, limitations, and impacts of Kahoot in the evaluation process. The findings indicate that Kahoot effectively enhances student motivation and participation, improves learning outcomes, and facilitates teachers in conducting interactive and enjoyable assessments. This application also supports the integration of online learning and can be flexibly used across multiple platforms. However, several challenges remain, such as limited internet access and the lack of ICT competence among teachers. Therefore, institutional support in the form of training and infrastructure provision is necessary to optimize the use of Kahoot in the learning process.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of social interactions in the school environment on the emotional development of fifth-grade students at SDN 060875 Medan. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design (30 participants), data were collected through participatory observation, emotional intelligence scales (EIK), and interviews. Results revealed a significant positive correlation between social interaction and emotional regulation (r = 0.62; p < 0.05). Cooperative interactions (65% of total interactions) and partner diversity were critical for developing empathy and self-awareness. Teachers functioned as emotional models through emotion coaching techniques, while a mastery goal-oriented classroom climate strengthened this relationship. Practical implications include integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) into cross-group collaborative activities and structured peer mentoring programs. This research affirms social interaction as a constitutive foundation for emotional development in Indonesia’s socio-cultural context.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the evaluation of learning outcomes carried out in the 2013 Curriculum-based learning process often does not comply with the standards for assessing the results of the 2013 Curriculum learning evaluation. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of learning evaluation principles at SDN 060970 Bagan Deli , Medan Belawan City. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and interview sheets for management of 2013 curriculum learning evaluations. The population of this study were all homeroom teachers who taught using the 2013 curriculum at SDN 060970 Bagan Deli. The results of research conducted by researchers at SD Negeri 060970 Bagan Deli, Medan, Belawan City for the homeroom teachers of classes III, V and VI, there were 3 problems experienced by teachers in implementing learning outcomes evaluation in the 2013 Curriculum, including that the assessment of learning outcomes was not in accordance with assessment standards. 2013 Curriculum. The main aspects of the 2013 Curriculum are Graduate Competency Standards (SKL), Core Competencies (KI), Basic Competencies (KD), and Scientific Approach and Authentic Assessment-based indicators.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether good classroom management can improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used is qualitative with a literature study method using various sources such as books, journals and other sources. Data analysis techniques in literature study research go through three stages, namely organize, synthesize and identify. Data collection used in this research comes from the results of research that has been carried out and published in online journals. The analysis method used uses journal content analysis. The role of teachers in teacher management is very important, especially in the learning process. Teachers must be dedicated to creating a conducive, effective and optimal learning environment. This includes fostering sustainable learning, improving cognitive, effective and psychomotor learning, as well as fostering positive interactions between students, teachers and their environment. The impact of teacher management on student learning outcomes is quite large because it can create a more effective learning environment. Therefore, teachers must prioritize teacher management to ensure the best learning outcomes for their students. Keywords: Education, Classroom Management, Learning Outcomes, Teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using short stories to enhance the writing creativity of fourth-grade elementary students through a literature review approach. It employs a qualitative descriptive method with a non-experimental design. Data were gathered from various written sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant proceedings, focusing on the role of short stories as a medium for writing instruction. The findings indicate that short stories can stimulate students' imagination, expressive abilities, and narrative understanding through structured plots rich in emotional meaning. Short stories also support students in composing more organized, creative, and expressive narrative texts, in line with the concrete thinking stage of Piaget’s theory. This approach aligns with constructivist principles, as it encourages students to connect personal experiences with story content. In the learning process, short stories are considered more engaging than traditional methods because they create a more interactive and meaningful learning environment. Therefore, the use of short stories has the potential to be an effective instructional strategy in fostering writing creativity and building a strong foundation in literacy from an early age.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the role of learning evaluation in fifth grade elementary school mathematics subjects. This research was conducted on Fifth-Grades students of UPT SD Negeri 060809 Medan Kota. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this research are Fifth-Grades students and Fifth-Grades teachers and the objects in this research are the results of interviews and observations. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews with students and teachers, conducting classroom observations, analyzing supporting documents and literature studies. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The research results show that evaluation of mathematics learning in Fifth Grades of SD Negeri 060809 Medan Kota has an important role in measuring learning achievement, providing feedback, identifying weaknesses and strengths, and directing learning improvements. The evaluation instruments used include oral tests, assignments and portfolios. Apart from that, evaluation also aims to measure academic achievement and character, foster multicultural awareness, and encourage the application of values in real contexts. Furthermore, evaluation also plays a role in developing student learning competencies by measuring student progress, identifying their learning needs, and planning appropriate interventions. It also involves providing constructive feedback, developing metacognitive skills, and encouraging reflection and continuous improvement for students.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui sampai sejauh mana penggunaan media atau alat pembelajaran mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V, SDN 104206 Sei Rotan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dari hasil data yang diperoleh, diketahui bahwasanya penggunaan media belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V SD Negeri 104206 Sei Rotan, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Tergolong cukup. Hal ini tentunya menjadi suatu permasalahan. Sebab, pada kelas tinggi sudah seharusnya bisa mengeksplor pengetahuan alamnya dengan melakukan eksperimen atau mampu mengetahui tata cara penggunaan media pelajaran IPA, seperti kerangka manusia. Kemudian, guru kurang kreatif dalam membuat suatu media belajar sederhana seperti menggunakan bahanbahan limbah. Sehingga guru lebih condong menggunakan buku saja dalam belajar. Pada dasarnya pembelajaran IPA harusnya dapat dinyatakan dalam bentuk konkrit, tidak selamanya bersifat abstrak.

Abstract

Evaluasi dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di sekolah sangatlah penting. Dengan evaluasi guru dapat mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan suatu proses pembelajaran. Evaluasi pembelajaran IPA di setiap sekolah menggunakan cara yang berbeda-beda. Sehingga hasil evaluasi pembelajaran IPA disetiap sekolah juga beragam. Kajian literatur ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran tentang pola evaluasi pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah. Kajian ini juga merupakan sebuah studi literatur (studi kepustakaan) yang bersifat kualitatif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan kajian literatur, membaca dan mencatat, serta mengolah bahan penelitian. Adapaun prolehan hasil dari kajian literatur yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam proses evaluasi pembelajaran IPA di sekolah, perlu ada peningkatan perhatian, karena melalui evaluasi pembelajaran yang baik proses pembelajaran IPA bisa semakin meningkat menjadi lebih baik. Serta pendidik dapat didorong untuk memperbaiki kualitas pengajaran mereka, sekaligus memotivasi siswa untuk belajar lebih giat. dikarenakan besarnya manfaat dari evaluasi pada proses pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah, maka sebaiknya para pengajar mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan setiap tahapan yang dilakukan pada evaluasi pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak pemberian reward bagi siswa Siswa Kelas VA SDN 106162 Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 106162, Desa Medan Estate, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis dampak pemberian reward terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dikelas VA, menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan reward memiliki efek positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, partisipasi, dan antusiasme. Reward dalam berbagai bentuk, baik non-materi (pujian, tepuk tangan) maupun materi (permen, pensil warna), dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam bertanya, menjawab, dan mengerjakan soal.

Abstract

Memahami efektivitas strategi pengajaran dan pertumbuhan siswa memerlukan evaluasi pendidikan sepanjang proses pembelajaran. Untuk menemukan area pertumbuhan dan memodifikasi strategi pengajaran dengan tepat, evaluasi sangat penting tidak hanya di akhir pelajaran, tetapi juga selama pelajaran. Evaluasi yang sering memungkinkan intervensi dan modifikasi yang cepat untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dengan menyoroti kekuatan dan kelemahan siswa dan strategi pengajaran. Evaluasi juga dapat membantu dalam mengidentifikasi kemungkinan masalah atau kesulitan yang dapat muncul selama proses pembelajaran, sehingga memungkinkan guru untuk menyelesaikannya dengan cepat dan berhasil. Secara umum, penilaian berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk menjamin siswa dapat mencapai potensi maksimalnya dan proses pembelajaran berjalan efisien.
