Abstract

The importance of early childhood education as a factor influencing child development and the role of curriculum in improving academic standards form the basis of this study. This study aims to examine and describe the standardized early childhood education (ECE) curriculum in Indonesia and Malaysia. The Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia and the National Preschool Curriculum Standards in Malaysia are the main subjects of this study. This research uses a qualitative method with comparative analysis. Data were collected from two ECE institutions through documentation studies, interviews, observations and document analysis at TK Negeri Pembina Tingkat Nasional Indonesia and Tadika Kaffah Kids Malaysia. The findings show that both countries prioritize ECE, although in different ways. The Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia emphasizes flexibility and adaptability to local needs and the uniqueness of Indonesian children, allowing teachers to choose the most appropriate materials and learning approaches. Meanwhile, Malaysia's National Preschool Curriculum Standards are more organized and consistent, focusing on achieving consistent essential academic competencies. In conclusion, both countries can benefit from each other's best practices to improve early childhood education standards despite differences in approach and implementation.

Abstract

Management was originally a science used in the business world to organize or manage a company. Along with the shift in time and the development of science, management has now penetrated the world of education. Education needs to be managed properly so that education can provide good results in building a complete human being as mandated in the 1945 Constitution.         Education is believed to be the most important aspect in elevating the status of a nation's society. That's why from time to time education is always used as one of the pillars of teachers in improving the quality of a nation. This is because through education the development of knowledge increases so that it can prepare human resources who are ready to compete with all their knowledge and skills. The formation of human resource competencies can be formed through education. Education is part of people's lives and part of the dynamics/movement of society itself, even education for human life is an absolute necessity that must be met throughout life (Fuad Hasan, 2007: 2). When education has been put aside, what happens is very little addition and development of knowledge, so that humans are created who are not ready to compete and will gradually become a backward nation.

To form quality students, of course, the educational institution itself must have qualified and qualified quality. Abstract

The dynamic nature of education requires innovative approaches to teacher professional development that can meet the diverse needs of educators and students. This study investigates the implementation of integrative academic supervision (IAS) at SDN Kalimulya 1, Depok, focusing on promoting teachers' continuous growth and addressing challenges in developing professional identity and pedagogical practice. This qualitative study used semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis to explore teachers' experiences and perspectives on integrative academic supervision. Data were collected from teachers and academic supervisors to assess how IAS contributes to teacher competence, collaboration and reflection. The study also identified challenges related to administrative tasks and institutional support. Findings showed a significant improvement in teachers' confidence and pedagogical competence, with 85% reporting better readiness to implement new learning strategies. Collaborative discussions among teachers increased, with 78% engaging in knowledge-sharing practices. In addition, 88 per cent of respondents felt more connected to their professional community, highlighting the role of IAS in strengthening professional identity. However, 70% of teachers noted difficulties in balancing administrative tasks with professional development activities, indicating the need for systemic support. IAS was found to be a practical framework for promoting teacher growth by encouraging reflective practice and collaboration among teachers. This aligns with the theory emphasising experiential and collaborative learning for continuous professional development. However, institutional barriers, such as administrative burdens, underscore the importance of policy adjustments to create a supportive learning environment. This study concludes that IAS significantly improves teachers' competence, motivation and professional identity. To maximise its impact, educational institutions should address time and resource constraints and strengthen policy frameworks that support professional development. Future research should explore the effectiveness of IAS in broader educational contexts to validate these findings and inform best practices in teacher professional development.

The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study are, first, the planning program has not been implemented effectively due to the problem of limited resources. Second, the implementation of supervision has not been carried out optimally.
