Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) to find out the description of the results of instilling social attitudes through social studies learning in students in class V (2) to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in the social studies learning process carried out by the teacher in instilling social attitudes in class V students. This study used qualitative research. The object of his research was fifth grade students with a total of 16 students at SD Negeri Bontoramba 1 Makassar. Data analysis in this study is observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the research conducted show that (1) The description of the process of cultivating students' social attitudes through social studies learning can be seen from the use of learning media and evaluation tools used by the teacher to assess students' social attitudes. (2) Supporting factors in instilling social attitudes by achieving learning to cultivate social attitudes applied by social studies learning teachers, there are almost no obstacles faced by teachers in teaching social attitudes (honesty, courtesy, self-discipline, tolerance and mutual help). Instilling Social Attitudes in Class V Students of SD Negeri Bontoramba 1 Makassar City has instilled the value of social attitudes in accordance with the indicators. It can be concluded that the cultivation of social attitudes through social studies learning in class V SD Negeri Bontoramba 1 Makassar City can be increased..

Abstract

This study aims to understand: (1) Description of the Application of the Problem Based Learning Model to Improve Critical Thinking Skills of Grade IV Students at SDN 160 Inpres Lemo-lemo Kab. Maros. (2) Problem Based Learning Model to Improve Critical Thinking Skills of Grade IV Students at SDN 160 Inpres Lemo-lemo Kab. Maros. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). The population and research sample were 23 students in grade IV at SDN 160 Inpres Lemo-lemo, Maros Regency. The research instruments were teacher and student observation sheets, multiple choice tests and essays and documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative data. The research results obtained are: (1) Application of the Problem Based Learning Model to Improve Critical Thinking Skills of Grade IV Students at SDN 160 Inpres Lemo-lemo Kab. Maros through cycle I and cycle II. (2) There is an increase in students' critical thinking skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning model with an average score of 56.3 at a percentage value of 17.3% referred to in the quite critical category in cycle I and an average score of 88.6 at a percentage value of 82.6% referred to in the critical category in cycle II. Based on the research, the Application of the Problem Based Learning Model to Improve the Critical Thinking Ability of Grade IV Students at SDN 160 Inpres Lemo-lemo Maros Regency has increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of the independent learning-based education unit curriculum on teacher performance at SD Negeri Maradekaya I Makassar City. This type of research is survey research using quantitative research methods. The population of this study were all 12 teachers of SD Negeri Maradekaya I Makassar City. The samples of this study were principals, class teachers and subject teachers totaling 10 people where 1 male teacher and 9 female teachers. The instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that: 1) An overview of the curriculum of education units based on independent learning, this is realized by the curriculum of education units based on independent learning prioritizing student-centered learning, focusing on critical thinking processes, problem solving and project-based learning. The adjustment of the education unit curriculum based on independent learning is able to create a more inclusive and adaptive learning environment, where teachers can adjust teaching methods to suit the potential and abilities of students. 2) Teachers' performance is highly influential on the quality of the learning process and students' overall development; teachers must also have the ability to build positive interactions with students and create a conducive classroom atmosphere. 3) The independent learning-based education unit curriculum affects teacher performance at SD Negeri Maradekaya I Makassar City after the results of hypothesis testing with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 mean that there is an effect of the independent learning-based  education  unit  curriculum  on  teacher performance.

Abstract

Literary literacy in schools was essential because it had a positive impact on both the academic and personal development of students, such as enhancing critical thinking skills. Students learnt to analyze plot, characters, and themes, as well as evaluated various perspectives and meanings within texts. Literary literacy also enriched vocabulary and language skills. Reading various literary genres expanded students' vocabulary and improved their ability to understand and use language effectively. The aimed of this study was to understand how literary literacy fostered and developeded in schools. This research used a literature study method with a narrative review model. In this narrative review, data from several journals were analyzed and summarized based on the author's experience. The study employed a qualitative method with secondary data obtained from relevant journals. The researchers used a descriptive analytical method, collecting, identifying, organizing, and analyzing various data found. The results of the study showed that the development and enhancement of literary literacy in schools in Indonesia include: 1) Intensive Reading Programs within the GLS program, 2) Use of Technology, 3) Interactive Teaching Methods, 4) Teacher Training and Professional Development, and 5) Improvement of School Libraries.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi konsekuensi yang timbul dari praktik perundungan (bullying) terhadap perkembangan emosional anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur, membaca jurnal-jurnal, kajian pustaka yang relevan, serta mencatat dan mengelola bahan penelitian terdahulu. Data dikumpulkan dari penelitian terdahulu yang telah dievaluasi dari jurnal-jurnal yang terakreditasi. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teliti, meliputi pembacaan artikel dan jurnal, analisis rinci, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk menghasilkan ide dan gagasan baru. Hal ini bertujuan agar permasalahan yang diangkat dalam artikel ini dapat diatasi dengan solusi yang optimal. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bullying mempunyai dampak yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan emosional anak, tidak hanya mencakup aspek perkembangan sosial, tetapi juga mengenai perkembangan emosional yang tercermin dalam munculnya emosi negatif seperti kemarahan, kesedihan, dan kekecewaan. Selain itu, bullying juga menurunkan tingkat kepercayaan diri anak, menciptakan perasaan rendah diri hingga tingkat keinginan untuk mengakhiri hidupnya. Temuan ini seharusnya menjadi pembelajaran bagi orang tua, anggota sekolah, dan masyarakat umum, untuk lebih peka terhadap kasus bullying.

Abstract

Subject teacher forum activities, especially in social sciences subjects at the elementary school level, have not shown significant changes in improving teacher abilities. Based on this, this research aims to develop materials for elementary schools social sciences teacher forum. This type of research is development research (Research and Development or R&D) by adapting two research and development models, namely the Borg and Gall model and the Dick and Carey model. The research subjects involved 3 experts who assessed the training materials: material experts, design experts, and language experts. The research respondents were social sciences teacher forum administrators or managers, instructors or resource persons, and 20 teachers. The techniques used in collecting data were observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire sheet. The techniques used for data analysis are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results, namely the results of validity tests by learning material experts, obtained an average value of 3.58 (valid). The assessment by the training materials design expert was 3.75 (valid). The assessment from language experts is 3.57 (valid). The effectiveness test results obtained an average value from the calculation results, namely 4.27 (very effective). It was concluded that the social sciences teacher forum training materials were declared suitable for use. It indicates that the training materials are very effective for use in the social sciences teacher forum. The implication of this research is that the MGMP IPS training materials developed can be used to improve teacher abilities.

Abstract

Desa Kampung Panjang, yang terletak di Kecamatan Kampar Utara, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau, menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam perkembangan masyarakat, termasuk rendahnya kesadaran terhadap kesehatan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, program pengabdian masyarakat terkait pembuatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) dilaksanakan. Metode pelaksanaan dimulai dengan observasi dan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mengenai manfaat dan cara budidaya tanaman obat. Kegiatan ini melibatkan partisipasi aktif warga dalam pembuatan kebun TOGA, di mana mereka diajarkan cara menanam, merawat, dan memanfaatkan tanaman obat seperti jahe, kunyit, dan daun sirih. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari masyarakat, yang merasa bahwa pengetahuan tentang tanaman obat sangat bermanfaat. Keberhasilan program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat, tetapi juga memperkuat ikatan sosial di antara warga. Kesimpulannya, pengabdian masyarakat ini menciptakan sinergi antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat, memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan bagi kesejahteraan dan kesehatan komunitas, serta menjadi contoh bagi desa lain dalam memanfaatkan potensi tanaman obat sebagai solusi kesehatan yang alami dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the flipbook e-module with flipped classroom-integrated Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry course. This e-module was tested on 20 students by comparing the results of the pretest and posttest using the N-Gain Score. The results showed that the e-module was able to increase the average understanding of students based on an increase in value from 51 (pretest) to 77.5 (posttest), with an average N-Gain Score of 0.55 which is included in the moderate category. These findings indicate that the e-module is quite effective in improving student understanding. The study recommends further development to improve learning effectiveness.
