Abstract

In Indonesia, education cannot be separated from human life. One way to obtain knowledge is the teaching and learning process in schools and this is an implementation of education. To implement the materials or teaching materials used in schools requires something that covers what is called a curriculum. The Merdeka curriculum aims for students to be virtuous, competent and contributive according to their field. This research uses the library research method. The research library used in this research can be books, articles and journals. This research aims to analyze the thevelopment of the education curriculum in Indonesia, especially the development of the curriculum in learning citizenship education (pkn) from the implementation of the 1984 curriculum to the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum. The result of the research concluded that the Merdeka curriculum brought changes in the organization of subjects and the names of citizenship education subjecs, but still had similar educational goals with an approach to make students more active and independent. It is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution in developing more effective citizenship education learning strategies in implementing the independent curriculum at the basic education level

Abstract

Health literacy is a key determinant of chronic disease management, affecting treatment adherence, self-care behaviors, and health outcomes. This study systematically reviewed the role of health literacy in chronic disease management, analyzing existing literature from databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The findings reveal a significant correlation between high health literacy and improved disease control, medication adherence, and reduced complications. However, disparities in health literacy remain prevalent, particularly among lower socioeconomic groups and populations with limited healthcare access. Systemic barriers, including insufficient health education, digital health inequities, and policy gaps, hinder progress in improving health literacy. Addressing these challenges requires integrating patient-centered education programs, leveraging digital health technologies, and fostering community engagement. Policymakers must implement inclusive health literacy policies to bridge knowledge gaps and enhance healthcare accessibility. Future research should focus on evaluating long-term health literacy interventions and their impact on chronic disease outcomes. Strengthening health literacy initiatives is essential for reducing health disparities and optimizing patient well-being.

Abstract

Healthcare disparities between urban and rural areas pose significant public health challenges, affecting healthcare accessibility, quality, and outcomes. This study systematically reviews the factors contributing to these disparities, including socioeconomic status, geographic barriers, healthcare infrastructure, and workforce distribution. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across major academic databases, focusing on peer-reviewed studies examining urban-rural healthcare inequalities and potential interventions. Findings indicate that rural populations experience limited access to healthcare due to inadequate medical facilities, long travel distances, and a shortage of healthcare professionals. Socioeconomic determinants, such as lower income and education levels, further exacerbate these disparities. Telemedicine has emerged as a potential solution, improving healthcare access in remote areas. However, its effectiveness is hindered by digital literacy gaps, infrastructure limitations, and privacy concerns. Policy interventions, including equitable healthcare funding, rural physician incentive programs, and enhanced digital health literacy initiatives, are crucial to addressing these challenges. Future research should explore scalable solutions for telemedicine implementation, assess the long-term impact of healthcare policy reforms, and develop integrated strategies to enhance healthcare accessibility in underserved communities. Ensuring equitable healthcare access remains a critical goal for global health systems, necessitating collaborative efforts from policymakers, healthcare providers, and technology developers.

Abstract

Abstract. This article explores the strategic collaboration between UNICEF and the Government of Indonesia in addressing Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA). Employing a descriptive qualitative approach and framed within the theories of human security and international cooperation, the study examines the implementation of the P-OCSEA program and the #JagaBareng digital campaign. The findings reveal that youth participation, public education, institutional capacity building, and policy development are central strategies in building a safe digital ecosystem for children. These efforts reflect a shift from reactive to preventive and community-based approaches. However, major challenges persist, including the absence of specific OCSEA legislation, limited child-friendly reporting mechanisms, low digital literacy in marginalized areas, and insufficient forensic training for law enforcement. The study highlights the need for sustained, multi-sectoral, and adaptive cooperation, supported by legal reforms, national curriculum integration, and active engagement from digital technology providers to ensure children's rights and safety in the evolving digital environment.

Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is a growing global health concern that threatens the effectiveness of current treatments against bacterial infections. Natural products have long served as essential reservoirs for the discovery of bioactive compounds, including antibiotics, owing to their structural diversity and ecological functions. This literature review highlights recent advances (2016–2025) in the identification and development of novel antibacterial compounds derived from natural sources such as medicinal plants, soil actinomycetes, marine organisms, endophytes, and extremophiles. It also discusses the molecular mechanisms underlying their antibacterial actions and addresses modern approaches in natural product-based drug discovery, including genome mining, metabolomics, artificial intelligence, and synthetic biology. Despite various challenges, such as the rediscovery of known molecules and low yields, innovative strategies continue to drive the development of promising antibiotic candidates. This review emphasizes the untapped potential of natural resources and advanced technologies in tackling the global antimicrobial resistance crisis.

Abstract

Lombok Island is home to a rich culinary heritage, with traditional dishes deeply rooted in Sasak culture and potential functional food value. This literature review investigates five iconic Lombok dishes—Ayam Taliwang, Plecing Kangkung, Sate Bulayak, Ares, and Beberuk Terong—focusing on their nutritional profiles, bioactive compounds, and health-related properties. Adopting the PRISMA-ScR approach, this study synthesizes 30 scientific articles published between 2014–2024 and compares findings with the Indonesian Food Composition Table (TKPI). Results reveal the presence of bioactive compounds such as capsaicin, curcumin, allicin, flavonoids, and nasunin, with antioxidant, antidiabetic, immunomodulatory, and cardioprotective effects. The review highlights challenges in food safety (e.g., acrylamide, aflatoxin risks), along with the need for standardized recipes and modern packaging strategies. The paper recommends further scientific validation and sustainable innovation to transform Lombok's traditional cuisine into evidence-based functional food products that strengthen local identity, promote public health, and boost Indonesia’s healthy food industry.
