Abstract

The article “Development of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education Teaching Materials Based on Minangkabau Local Wisdom.” The researcher was interested in taking this title because he was concerned about many young generations experiencing moral decadence, following Western lifestyles, and unfamiliar with local wisdom culture. In addition, no teaching materials or modules contain local wisdom values, in this case, Minangkabau local wisdom. This research and development aims to develop Islamic Religious Education and Character Education teaching modules based on Minangkabau local wisdom through a research and development model. The stages of developing teaching modules based on the 4-D research model consist of Defining, Designing, Developing, and Disseminating—data collection using interview guidelines, observation sheets, tests, and questionnaires. Furthermore, the teaching module is subjected to a validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test. The results of the validity of the teaching materials for Islamic Religious Education and Character Building based on Minangkabau local wisdom obtained validation of 0.99, declared valid by the assessment of language, media, and material experts. The results of the teacher’s practicality test received a score of 75 with a feasible interpretation, and the results of the student questionnaire obtained a score of 88.67 with a possible interpretation, indicating the practicality of the module. The results of the effectiveness test of the teaching module were considered adequate by obtaining a Sig of 0.000> 0.05. Thus, the Islamic Religious Education and Character Building teaching module based on Minangkabau local wisdom is feasible to implement, develop, and disseminate.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology have had a significant impact on the world of education, especially in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process. One technology that is often used is Microsoft PowerPoint as learning media. This study aims to analyze the effect of using PowerPoint media on student learning interest in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects at SMKN 3 Solok City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and observations, and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-test. The results showed that the use of PowerPoint media had a positive and significant effect on students' interest in learning. The experimental group that used PowerPoint had a higher level of interest in learning than the control group. This is due to the presentation of material that is more interactive, interesting, and systematic, so as to motivate students to be actively involved in the learning process. The t-test value shows that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with a t-count value of 5.384 (p < 0.05). This study concludes that PowerPoint learning media is effective in increasing students' interest in learning Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects. Hopefully, this finding can be a reference for educators in developing technology-based learning models that are more innovative and relevant to modern learning needs.

This research is based on the implementation of the expository strategy by the teacher in the monotonous learning of telling stories so that it was found that students ignore the teacher's explanation and are busy in the background. Students make noise in the class and don't listen to the teacher's explanation. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection in this research was obtained by the author through interviews and observations. The data source for this writing was obtained from PAI teachers as key informants and students as supporting informants. Data analysis technique is done with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Then data validity technique using source triangulation. From the results of the researcher's findings, it can be understood that the teacher has implemented an expository strategy with preparatory steps starting with opening the lesson with greetings, praying and reading the Al-Qur'an together, doing literacy activities and creating light conversations to increase students' enthusiasm in learning. Presentation step by explaining the material with a verbal approach. Correlation step by providing examples that are easy for students to find or with experiences that students have gone through. Application step by giving training tasks to students related to the material. The step concludes by summarizing the learning with the students at the end of the learning, but not making a conclusion with a mind map that is easy for the students to understand. While the obstacles that occur are in the form of internal obstacles that come from the teacher himself, and external obstacles that come from students, from the media used, and from the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the phenomenon of aggressive behavior among students at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek, characterized by quarrels, teasing, vandalism, difficulty in managing emotions, and disruptive joking in class. Aggressive behavior in adolescents generally consists of four aspects: Physical Aggression, which includes actions such as hitting, kicking, and other physical attacks; Verbal Aggression, which manifests in insults, sarcasm, slander, and offensive remarks; Anger, referring to feelings of irritation, frustration, and difficulty in controlling emotions; and Hostility, characterized by negative feelings such as jealousy, envy, suspicion, and distrust toward others. The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between emotional maturity and the tendency toward aggressive behavior in these students. Using a quantitative correlational research design, this study surveyed a sample of 86 grade X students, randomly selected from a population of 374 students. Data analysis included normality, linearity, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation formula in SPSS v.20. Findings revealed a correlation coefficient of -0.423, indicating a moderate negative relationship. A significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) confirmed a statistically significant relationship between emotional maturity and aggressive behavior tendencies among students at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek. These findings suggest that students with higher emotional maturity tend to exhibit lower levels of aggressive behavior. This study investigates the phenomenon of aggressive behavior among students at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek, characterized by quarrels, teasing, vandalism, difficulty in managing emotions, and disruptive joking in class. Abstract

The writing is motivated by the low learning motivation of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 7 Sijunjung. Based on the results of observations, it can be see that the school environment at SMA Negeri 7 Sijunjung as a whole is in good condition. This is not in accordance with the theory which states that the more conducive the scool environment, the higher the student’s learning motivation. This research is a correlation research using a quantitative approach. The data collection technique in this study is to use a lift or questionnaire. The informants in this study were students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 7 Sijunjung. Data analysis was carried out by means of normal traffic test, linearity test, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination test. Based on the results of the study it was found that the data in this study were normally distributed with a significance value of 0,200. This value indicates that the significant value is more than 0,05, which means that the data is normally distributed. From the results of the linearity test it is known that the significance value is 0,051 > 0,05, which means that there is a linear relationship between the school environment and students’ learning motivation. From the calculation results obtained rxy = 0,652 and rtabel = 0,234. With the testing criteria Ho is accepted if rxy ≤ rtabel and Ho is rejected if rxy ≥ rtabel. The results of the sampel hypothesis test with the pearson product moment correlation obtained a significance value of 0,652 ≥ 0,234, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted, yes that there is an influence of the school environment on the learning motivation of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 7 Sijunjung. Based on the test results of the coefficient of determination, the result is 0,425. So it can be concluded that the influence of the school environment on student learning motivation is 42,5%.
