Abstract

This study focuses on Indonesia’s automotive industry sector, which is currently experiencing growth, particularly in terms of Wuling's contribution to the economy through sales. The aim is to identify customer clusters for Wuling vehicle and the marketing mix strategy after the most dominant customer cluster for Wuling vehicle. The research method used was a quantitative survey, which involved collecting data from 111 potential Wuling customer using purposive sampling and data collection through questionnaires. The analysis included an F-Test to examine the differences between clusters. The results show that the clustering of Wuling customer using the K-Means Clustering method successfully divided them into three different clusters, namely Perfectionist, Easy Going, and Beginner, with the Easy Going being the most dominant. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust marketing strategies to focus more on the needs and preferences of the Easy Going, including optimizing the use of promotion channels that have been proven effective, such as direct marketing and sales websites. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of applying the K-Means Clustering method in automotive market segmentation, providing valuable insights for Wuling to formulate more effective and relevant marketing strategies to meet the diverse needs of customer in a dynamic market.

Abstract

Investment is one way to manage finances in order to earn more income than before. Many people realize how important it is to invest early. Investments that can also be called investments to obtain returns have many types. Each type of investment instrument has its own benefits. In addition, each type also has its own advantages and disadvantages. This study aims to determine the investment patterns of Javanese employees in the TV One Pulogadung office. This study uses qualitative techniques using an ethnographic approach. The author conducted direct interviews with 10 employees of TV One Pulogadung who are ethnic Javanese. Based on the research results, there were 47 coding, 12 categories and 2 themes, namely asset investment and business investment. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that Javanese employees at the TV One Pulogadung office prefer asset investment, especially land and buildings. This is in accordance with the Javanese culture which considers land to have a very important or sacred meaning. This is in accordance with the Javanese philosophy which reads "Sadhumuk bathuk, sanyari bumi, ditohi starch". That is, one touch of the forehead, the finger of the earth, the bet is dead. Dare to touch an inch of land can bet your life.

Abstract

The development of the world of tourism is currently experiencing high growth. With repairs and increasing the quality of tourist spots, it has succeeded in encouraging and increasing public interest in visiting. Traveling at this time has also been carried out in various ways both by individuals and groups. One of the quite existing tourist groups in Jakarta is the Backpacker Jakarta Community (BPJ), which offers low-cost travel packages with the Backpacker pattern. In this study, the authors conducted a survey of BPJ’s members/members by distributing questionnaires containing personal data and also regarding the interest of the members in the trips or trips they had participated in so far. From this process the researcher obtained feedback and analyzed the answers from 96 respondents, using the clustering method with K-means clustering analysis, and then determined 7 clusters to get an overview of the variations in the interest of BPJ’s members. Of the 7 clusters, the researcher chose one of the potential clusters to develop travel tour package products, namely BPJ’s Member Mountaineering Lover Cluster which contains quite young groups between 22-35 years old. Furthermore, the researcher determines the Value Proposition of the cluster to determine the strategic steps for the marketing mix strategy with the 8P.

Abstract

This study discusses the use of K-Means clustering algorithm to determine market segmentation and prepare targeted marketing strategies. The process involves grouping customer data based on various factors such as transmission type, customer satisfaction, payment method, and branches. After grouping the data, the initialization stage is carried out by providing an initial number, and then the clustering process is carried out. The resulting clusters are analyzed to identify different customer profiles and needs. With an in-depth understanding of each segmentation, companies can develop specific and targeted marketing strategies for each customer group. Additionally, this study discusses the construction of a brand persona by identifying the target audience, understanding their needs and wants, creating a character profile, and compiling a brand persona document that includes all the important information. The customized brand persona can then be used in the development of online value proposition and marketing strategies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of financial factors on company value and stock performance in coal subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study is based on the necessity of understanding how financial indicators such as profitability, leverage, liquidity, and corporate actions influence firm value and investor perception, especially in capital-intensive industries that are extremely sensitive to external swings. Previous research has shown conflicting results, indicating the need for additional empirical examination, particularly in Indonesia's energy sector setting. The study adopts a quantitative approach called Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The sample consists of 57 observations gathered specifically from coal company annual reports for the years 2023-2024. Exogenous factors (X) include profitability (ROA, ROE), leverage (DER), liquidity (CR), and corporate action (DIV). Endogenous variables (Y) include Stock Performance (Stock Return) and Firm Value (PBV). The study shows that only leverage has a substantial and favourable effect on stock performance (path coefficient = 0.331, p-value = 0.005). Other variables, including profitability, liquidity, and corporate actions, have no substantial impact on firm valuation or stock performance. These findings imply that, in the coal sector, external factors and market mood may be more important than traditional financial measures in determining business value and investor reactions

Abstract

This research examines the influence of the 8P digital marketing mix (Product, Price, Promotion, Place, People, Process, Physical Evidence, Productivity and Quality) on consumer purchase intention for Bvlgari luxury perfumes using binary logistic regression analysis. Data were collected via a Qualtrics survey from 88 respondents in Indonesia. The analysis revealed that among the 8P elements, Price, Public Figures (Promotion/People), and Product Collaboration significantly impacted purchase intention. Price and Public Figures had the strongest positive effects, increasing purchase likelihood by 3.8 and 4.8 times, respectively, aligning with theories of conspicuous consumption and aspirational influence. Conversely, Product Collaboration showed a significant negative effect, reducing purchase intention by 74%, suggesting potential brand dilution risks. Other elements, such as scent preferences and bottle design, were statistically insignificant. The logistic regression model achieved 68.2% overall accuracy, excelling in predicting intent-to-buy (91.7%) but underperforming for non-buyers (17.9%). These findings highlight the importance of premium pricing and influencer partnerships in luxury perfume marketing while cautioning against collaborations that may undermine brand exclusivity. The research provides actionable insights for Bvlgari to refine its digital strategy, emphasizing immersive, trust-driven experiences to offset the limitations of online sensory engagement.

Abstract

This study analyzes market segmentation of 1000 Superindo consumers in Tambun, Bekasi, using K-Means Clustering with Python 3.10. Variables included age, gender, occupation, purchase amount, product type, and discounts. Three main segments were identified: "Business Women" (average age 40, focus on staple goods, 16% discount), "Women Government Career" (age 39, staple goods, 16% discount), and "Professional Women" (age 38, staple goods, 15% discount). Superindo should target "Women Government Career" with the highest purchasing power. To increase sales, an online value proposition is recommended offering bundled packages of staple goods with meat and fruit.

Abstract

This research investigates the factors motivating women to work in the traditionally male-dominated mining industry, focusing on heavy equipment operators at a coal mine in Sangatta, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Employing an ethnographic approach with a phenomenological study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with three informants with varying lengths of work experience to identify shared values. The findings reveal three primary factors underpinning women's decisions to pursue mining careers: strong work ethic, economic motivations, and an orientation towards self-development and securing their children's future. These findings demonstrate women's agency in career decision-making and their ability to transcend gender stereotypes. This study recommends that mining companies foster inclusive work environments that support women in balancing their multiple roles.

Abstract

The reliable and efficient availability of electricity is a crucial factor in economic and social development. PT PLN (Persero), through its subsidiary PT PLN Indonesia Power, is responsible for providing electricity, including operating the 2x300 MW Banten 2 Labuan coal-fired power plant. However, in 2022, the Banten 2 Labuan plant experienced 28 disruptions, leading to a decrease in production capacity from 4,838.4 GWH to 4,259.716 GWH per year. This study aimed to identify the factors causing these disruptions and the decline in electricity production capacity. A qualitative approach using the Grounded Theory method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with the Assistant Manager of Operation Planning and Control, the Assistant Manager of Maintenance Planning and Control, and the Assistant Manager of Public Relations and CSR of the Banten 2 Labuan plant, as well as field observations and document studies. Through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, three themes emerged as causes of disruption: internal factors (frequency 14), external factors (frequency 9), and force majeure (frequency 4). Pareto analysis revealed internal factors as the most dominant, contributing to 51.9% of the disruptions, with equipment failure (frequency 11) being the most significant internal factor, contributing 40.7% to the total disruptions. Consequently, optimization of maintenance strategies, improvement of human resource competencies, and the application of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Predictive Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Breakdown Maintenance within the framework of Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Management, are necessary to enhance the operational reliability of the Banten 2 Labuan power plant.
