Abstract

Kegiatan konstruksi di Indonesia terus meningkat diiringi peningkatan produksi limbah. Limbah yang berpotensi merusak lingkungan seperti limbah kaca dan limbah kardus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi limbah tersebut dengan memanfaatkannya sebagai bahan pembuatan batako. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan butiran limbah kaca sebagai substitusi semen dengan persentase 10% dan bubur limbah kardus sebagai substitusi pasir dengan variasi 0,00%; 0,25%; 0,50%; 0,75%; hingga 1,00%. Benda uji batako dicetak dengan berdimensi 30 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm. Uji laboratorium yang dilakukan adalah pengujian kuat tekan dan uji daya serap air sesuai SNI 03-0349-1989. Hasil pengujian kuat tekan dan daya serap air optimum diperoleh pada campuran 10% serbuk limbah kaca dan 0,25% bubur limbah kardus. Batako tersebut mempunyai nilai rata-rata kuat tekan dan daya serap air sebesar 8,4229 MPa dan 1,41%. Batako tersebut diklasifikasikan sebagai batako tingkat mutu II, yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan bangunan pemikul beban terlindung cuaca.

Abstract

The Intergovernmental Panel Climate Change (IPCC) states that transportation contributes 13.1% of emissions (IPCC, 2006). Magetan Regency plans to support Indonesia in reducing emissions by 20% by 2040 by analysing and mitigating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by the transportation sector. The analysis was conducted by calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions based on traffic volume survey data and calculating the fuel oil (BBM) used to obtain the amounts of emissions generated. From the analysis, it was found that CO2 emissions generated by the transportation sector in Magetan Regency amounted to 3,105,318.08 tons/year in 2020 and had the potential to increase by 3.31% per year. As mitigation actions, three activities are proposed, namely the use of public transportation, the movement of walking to school and greening. From the three actions, the total emissions are expected to be reduced by 1,422,516 tons/year or equivalent to 45% reduction of total emissions if the three proposed activities are implemented. If this is implemented, Magetan Regency will be able to contribute 0.22% of GHG emission reduction by 2040. If all districts in Indonesia also implement this mitigation, the transportation sector will contribute 9.15% of the emission reduction in Indonesia in 2040.

Abstract

Garbage is one of the major factors in environmental pollution. When the waste management process is not proportionate to the amount of garbage generated, the impact of the accumulation of waste makes the pollution of waste more noticeable. Efforts undertaken in waste management, i.e. using glass waste and wood powder waste as sand subtitles on paving block manufacturing, are expected to reduce environmental pollution problems. The study aims to obtain the highest pressures strength values and the lowest water absorption on paving blocks with a variation of glass waste of 2.5%, 5%, 7,5%, 10%, 12,5% and wood powder of 10% as a subtitling of sand paving block mixed material. From the test results obtained the highest pressures strength value of the variation of mixture of glass powder 5% and wood powder 10% of 4.30 MPa. At the test results, the lowest water absorption was obtained from a variation of a mixture of 5% glass powder and 10% wood powder of 6.42%.

Abstract

Putri Cempo TPA is the largest TPA in Surakarta City. The presence of vehicles transporting waste to and from the Putri Cempo TPA has an impact on the main roads and intersections leading to the Putri Cempo TPA. The results of the research on the existence of waste transportation can reduce roads up to 28.24% even though they are still in decent condition. The performance of the intersection has decreased to 2.98%, and has reached an unfeasible condition.

Abstract

Berkembangnya populasi di Indonesia juga berpengaruh pada perkembangan sarana transportasi. Perkembangan sarana transportasi memerlukan infrastruktur yang memadai. Paving block merupakan salah satu tipe infrastruktur jalan yang sering digunakan. Hal tersebut berpengaruh terhadap jumlah produksi paving block yang ikut meningkat. Bahan alam merupakan bahan pembuatan paving block yang di eksplorasi secara terus menerus. Saat bersamaan penggunaan material yang dieksplorasi menghasilkan limbah yang di buang dalam jumlah besar. Limbah serbuk kaca dan limbah serbuk keramik berpotensi sebagai subtitusi agregat halus pembuatan paving block. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kuat tekan dan daya serap optimum yang didapatkan paving block variasi limbah serbuk kaca sebesar 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, 10%, 12,5% dan limbah serbuk keramik sebesar 30%. Menggunakan metode eksperimen di dapatkan hasil kuat tekan tertinggi 12,5% limbah kaca dan 30% limbah keramik yaitu sebesar 11,17 MPa dan daya serap terendah 12,5% limbah kaca dan 30% limbah keramik yaitu sebesar 6,67%.

Abstract

The construction sector contributes significantly to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, mainly through concrete use. This study applies Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to evaluate and reduce GHG emissions in concrete structures, using a case study of the Toll Corridor Development (TCD) Phase 2 and 3 at TMII. Emissions were calculated based on material volume and emission factors, including cement, aggregates, steel, water, and admixtures. The study explores four supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs)—fly ash, metakaolin, silica fume, and zeolite—as partial cement substitutes. Results show that SCMs effectively reduce GHG emissions, with metakaolin achieving the highest reduction at 76.14%. This study recommends broader use of LCA in material selection to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in construction.

Abstract

Peningkatan pembangunan di Indonesia mendorong inovasi pada industri konstruksi termasuk inovasi material bangunan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan serbuk kaca dan serat sabut kelapa terhadap kuat tekan dan daya serap air yang dimiliki batako. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membuat 30 benda uji berupa batako dengan bahan campur 20% serbuk kaca dan variasi persentase sabut kelapa 0,10%; 0,15%; 0,20%; 0,25%; dan 0,30%. Berdasarkan penelitian, didapatkan hasil bahwa benda uji dengan kandungan 20% serbuk kaca dan 0,30% serat sabut kelapa mendapatkan nilai rata-rata kuat tekan tertinggi sebesar 78,177 kg/cm. Sementara itu, benda uji dengan kandungan 20% serbuk kaca dan 0,10% serat sabut kelapa mendapatkan nilai rata-rata daya serap air terendah sebesar 1,713%.
