Abstract

Unsafe behavior when carrying out work, such as ignoring or not using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), has the potential to cause serious risks that can lead to death or material loss. Personal Protective Equipment itself is a device or equipment specifically designed to provide protection to the worker's body from various hazards that may occur during work activities, especially in high-risk environments such as the construction sector. Therefore, this research aims to conduct an in-depth literature review of the various factors that influence the level of compliance of construction workers in using PPE correctly and consistently while carrying out their duties. This study conducted a research method in the form of Literature Review.  The source of this research database is taken from Google Schoolar, Google Book, and Pubmed. This research was compiled from March 2025 to April 2025. The sources of this research meet the Inclusion Criteria, namely all sources used have been published in journals, are open access, and use Indonesian and English. The sources of this study were taken with a time frame of the last five years, starting from 2020 to 2024. The results of the Literature Review show that Age, Education, Knowledge, Behavior, OHS Facilities, HSE Inspection (Supervision), PPE Comfort, and OHS Policy have a significant relationship with the Behavior of Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Construction Workers. However, there is an insignificant relationship with the Working Period. It is hoped that these efforts will improve safety and reduce the risk of work accidents on construction sites.

Abstract

Generation Z prefers vaping over conventional cigarettes because of its diverse flavors. This trend, however, results in new health concerns such as EVALI. This study aims at the various components that may influence the use of e-cigarettes, also known as vapes, as well as the impact of these factors. The method involved looking at the literature and using journals published in the last five years using Google Scholar and PubMed databases. The work started from March to April. The results showed that external and internal factors such as knowledge and beliefs, lifestyle, and the influence of parents, peers, and social media. Because they are considered safer, attracted by the taste and packaging, and lack of knowledge, many teenagers are unaware of the dangers of vape. Other health impacts include respiratory problems and the risk of serious illnesses that reduce quality of life. Thus, it is hoped that people will become more aware of the dangers of vaping, how to avoid using vapes, and how to maintain their health.

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common health problems among office workers, especially those with long working hours and unergonomic sitting postures. Many work responsibilities must be completed so that the time to rest and return to work is uncertain. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work duration and work posture with NPB complaints in office workers and the factors that influence them. The method used is literature review by reviewing 15 journals that discuss the risk factors of NPD. The results of the analysis showed that work duration exceeding 8 hours and poor sitting posture had a significant correlation with an increased risk of NPD. In addition, several other factors contribute to the incidence of NCD, such as age, workload, and work attitude. Older workers are at higher risk of NBP due to reduced bone elasticity and muscle stability. Heavy workloads and long working hours cause muscle fatigue, which increases complaints of NBP. Unergonomic work attitudes, such as bending or sitting that are not ideal, also increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Prevention can be done through the application of ergonomic principles and good working time management to reduce musculoskeletal risks.

Abstract

Workplace accidents are one of the main challenges in maintaining labor safety in various industrial sectors. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is an important effort in minimizing the risk of accidents in the workplace. However, the level of compliance in the use of PPE is still a crucial factor that affects the number of work accidents. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of PPE on the rate of work accidents, and analyze the extent to which the use of PPE can reduce the risk of accidents in the work environment. This study uses the Literature Review method. Data were collected from 15 relevant scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, and obtained through electronic databases, namely Google Scholar, Pubmedia and Pubmed. Articles were selected referring to the inclusion and exclusion criteria relevant to the topic. The study results showed that human behavior in using PPE is influenced by three main factors, namely predisposing factors, reinforcing factors, and enabling factors. In addition, there is a significant relationship between the use of PPE and a decrease in the rate of work accidents. Workers who compliantly use PPE experience a decrease in the incidence of work accidents by 80%. In conclusion, the use of PPE plays an important role in reducing the risk of work accidents, so a sustainable strategy is needed to increase compliance with PPE use in the work environment.

Abstract

The use of vape is increasingly popular among Generation Z, because it is considered a safer option than traditional cigarettes, making vape increasingly popular among young people. Although e-cigarettes are considered safer, research shows that vape can have negative impacts on the physical, psychological, and social health of Generation Z. This study aims to identify factors that influence vape use among Generation Z and explore the possible impacts of vape use, both in terms of health, psychological, and social aspects. The method used in this study is a literature review, where researchers conduct an in-depth analysis of information from various sources, including books, encyclopedias, and other documents to collect theories and ideas that are relevant to the research objectives. The results of the literature review show that social factors, such as the influence of friends and social media platforms, have a major impact on the tendency to use vape among Generation Z. In addition, there are also negative impacts that arise, such as respiratory disorders for physical health, and mental health problems for psychological aspects. Thus, vape use in Generation Z is influenced by various factors, especially social factors, and can have serious impacts on physical health, psychological health, and social impacts. Therefore, it is crucial to raise awareness and implement stricter policies to reduce serious negative impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and obtain a clear picture of the calculation of merchandise inventory management at the Hj Bau Mixed Goods Wholesale Business. This research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques that will be used include interviews with owners, managers, or employees involved in inventory management at Toko HJ Bau. In addition, documentation techniques will be used to retrieve data from the incoming and outgoing goods reports at Toko HJ Bau. In analyzing the data, researchers will use the inventory accounting analysis method. The two main methods used are the Perpetual Method inventory recording system and the FIFO (First in First Out) Method inventory valuation system. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the lack of implementation of segregation of duties related to the purchasing function and the use of inadequate manual records, led to the risk of stock-outs and imbalances in inventory. In addition, the simple organizational structure, with divided employee concentration and poorly conveyed information to the store owner, was also a contributing factor to the problem.The proposed solution is the application of the FIFO method, which can help improve the accuracy of inventory recording and the value of merchandise inventory at Toko Hj Bau.By applying FIFO, the store can optimize inventory management and produce more informative and reliable financial statements.

Abstract

Rumah Sakit merupakan institusi yang menyelenggarakan pelayanan kesehatan perorangan secara lengkap, salah satunya rawat jalan. Pemberian layanan kesehatan yang berkualitas dapat meningkatkan manfaat melalui kepuasan pelanggan, karena ada hubungan empiris antara kepuasan pelanggan dan manfaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis determinan kepuasan pasien  rawat jalan di RS X Kupang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2023 – Januari 2024 di RS X Kupang. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 80 responden. Semua variabel dimensi kepuasan yaitu tampilan fisik, keandalan, daya tanggap, jaminan, dan empati memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dengan kepuasan pasien rawat jalan. Daya tanggap merupakan determinan kepuasan pasien rawat jalan di RS X. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan pasien rawat jalan di RS X Kupang. Implikasi praktis dari temuan ini mencakup perluasan pelatihan staf dalam komunikasi dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan pasien, peningkatan transparansi informasi, dan penguatan aspek-aspek empati dalam pelayanan kesehatan. --- Hospitals are institutions that organise complete individual health services, one of which is outpatient care. Providing quality health services can increase benefits through customer satisfaction, because there is an empirical relationship between customer satisfaction and benefits. This study aims to analyse the determinants of outpatient satisfaction at RS X Kupang. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design . The research was conducted in December 2023 - January 2024 at RS X Kupang. The sample in this study totalled 80 respondents. All satisfaction dimension variables namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy have a significant correlation with outpatient satisfaction. Responsiveness is a determinant of outpatient satisfaction at RS X Kupang. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the factors that influence outpatient satisfaction at RS X Kupang. Practical implications of the findings include expanding staff training in communication and responsiveness to patient needs, increasing information transparency, and strengthening aspects of empathy in health services

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fenomena penggunaan rokok elektrik sebagai bagian dari gaya hidup di kalangan generasi Z. Sejumlah penelitian sebelumnya mengungkapkan bahwa rokok elektrik telah menjadi simbol gaya hidup baru bagi generasi ini, dengan berbagai alasan yang melatarbelakangi penggunaannya, seperti persepsi bahwa lebih sehat dibandingkan rokok konvensional, harga yang lebih terjangkau, beragamnya varian rasa, serta pengaruh lingkungan sosial. Rokok elektrik juga dipandang sebagai tren modern yang memiliki makna simbolik dalam merepresentasikan identitas dan status sosial. Namun, studi-studi terdahulu belum secara mendalam membahas bagaimana aspek inovatif dari rokok elektrik mampu mendorong terbentuknya budaya konsumsi, serta kurang menyoroti keterlibatan perempuan dalam fenomena ini. Peneliti menyoroti bahwa penggunaan rokok elektrik juga semakin marak di kalangan perempuan generasi Z. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti berpendapat bahwa inovasi dalam produk rokok elektrik memiliki daya tarik tersendiri yang relevan dengan perempuan, sehingga menciptakan dinamika budaya konsumtif dan membentuk makna simbolis tertentu dalam penggunaannya.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga keselamatan tenaga kerja dan mencegah kecelakaan kerja. Salah satu upaya yang paling krusial dalam penerapan K3 adalah penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi literatur untuk menelaah dan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan APD terhadap tingkat kecelakaan kerja. Sumber data berasal dari artikel ilmiah, jurnal, buku, dan peraturan perundang-undangan yang relevan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan APD secara konsisten dan tepat dapat secara signifikan menurunkan angka kecelakaan kerja. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa APD merupakan komponen penting dalam penerapan sistem K3 di berbagai lingkungan kerja.

Abstract

The implementation of occupational safety and health (OHS) principles in Indonesia is still not optimal, as reflected in the high number of work accidents. One important aspect in OHS is the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which is the last step in the risk control hierarchy after efforts to eliminate, substitute, engineer, and administrative control are ineffective. The purpose of this literature review is to evaluate various factors related to the behavior of PPE use among workers. This study uses a literature review method with data collected from various sources such as ProQuest, PubMed, ResearchGate, SagePub, and Google Scholar, in the period 2018 to 2025. The article selection process was carried out using the PRISMA flow diagram, which includes the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion. Search keywords include "Personal Protective Equipment", "Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)", "construction workers", and "compliance with the use of PPE". From the screening results, 19 relevant journals were successfully collected and analyzed. The findings show that although several journals examine the same variables, such as knowledge, attitude, and length of service, the results of the relationship between these variables and the behavior of using PPE show variation. Overall, worker behavior in using PPE is influenced by a number of factors, including knowledge, attitude, social support, length of service, and availability of PPE. These factors can be grouped into predisposing factors (knowledge, attitude, length of service) and supporting factors (social support and availability of PPE equipment).
