Abstract

This study aims to develop CEKATAN learning media, a crossword puzzle-based media with fable content, to improve the literacy skills of second-grade elementary school students. The research employed Research and Development (R&D) with a modified Borg & Gall model up to the limited trial stage. The participants were students from both experimental and control classes at Wringinputih 01 Public Elementary School, Semarang Regency. Research instruments included validation sheets from experts, teacher and student questionnaires, and literacy tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to measure validity and practicality, and inferential statistics (normality, homogeneity, t-test, and N-Gain) to measure effectiveness. Validation results indicated that CEKATAN media was highly valid, with material experts rating it at 93.3% and media experts at 90.6%. Practicality was rated very high by both teachers (92.7%) and students (94.2%). Effectiveness tests showed significant differences between the experimental and control classes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The N-Gain score for the experimental class was 0.84 (high category), while the control class obtained 0.40 (moderate category). These findings demonstrate that CEKATAN media is valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable to be applied in elementary school literacy learning. These findings further imply that CEKATAN media has the potential to support school literacy programs and can be implemented more broadly in elementary education as a sustainable approach to fostering students’ reading interest and comprehension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aspek koneksi matematis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran melalui permainan botol angka di TK TA Al Matholi Tunahan, Jepara. Permainan botol angka dirancang sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk mengenalkan konsep matematika dasar kepada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian meliputi siswa kelompok A . Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan botol angka mampu mengembangkan kemampuan koneksi matematis anak, seperti menghubungkan konsep angka dengan benda konkret, memahami pola hubungan antarangka, dan mengenali aplikasi matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, interaksi dalam permainan ini juga mendorong anak untuk berpikir kritis, bekerja sama, dan meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus. Guru memiliki peran penting dalam mengarahkan dan memfasilitasi kegiatan agar tujuan pembelajaran tercapai secara optimal.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Media is part of the learning component, the benefits and functions of media in learning are felt by both teaching staff and students. The learning methods that are often used are theory, question and answer, demonstration learning and discussion, while teaching in class IV they rarely use interactive learning media, but still do it manually, during the learning process the children are less enthusiastic because they feel bored. The problem in this research is the availability of lartangya learning media and what are the results of validation tests and limited trials of lartangya learning media. The aim of this research is to find out how available the lartangya learning media is and what the results of validation tests and limited trials of lartangya learning media are. This research and development procedure implements the ADDIE procedure. The population in this study were fourth grade students at SDN 2 Pendem Grobogan. The data collection techniques used were pilot tests and questionnaires. The available Lartangya learning media can support learning material about flat shapes in class IV at SDN 2 Pendem Grobogan. Lartangya learning media produced an assessment from material experts and media experts of 96%. Where the score is listed between the intervals of 81%-100% in the "very feasible" category, which means that the Lartangya learning media is suitable for use as a learning media for class IV elementary school flat building material. Lartangya learning media produces assessments from trials on students. Group 1 got a score of 10 from the 3 questions they worked on, group 2 got a score of 10 from the 4 questions they worked on, group 3 got a score of 20 from the 5 questions they worked on, and group 4 got a score of 30 from the 7 questions they worked on.. Abstract

Articles are created with the aim of describing students' difficulties; Factors responsible for the difficulties involved in salat; And the effort that can be made to overcome the students' difficulties of performing mandatory religious services. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. Main data retrieval techniques using study literature study. The factors behind the student's difficulties in mandatory worship match the theory of sheikh abdul shuuja 'ahmad bin husein and the ahmadi and supriyono. The difficulties students experience in performing mandatory religious services need attention early and early teacher support, parental example at home before coming up with the interest of the students in performing mandatory services without any coercion. Research concludes that motivation, interest, interactive religious studies, school facilities and parental example require students to mandatory salat.

Abstract

Education is a crucial matter in shaping a nation’s future by fostering professional human resources equipped with knowledge and technology. This research explores the contributions of edupreneurship activities to children's development, focusing on fine motor skills, understanding basic economic concepts, and enhancing cognitive and social skills. Using a qualitative and participatory approach, this study involved 15 children at SD Negeri Purwosari 1 in hands-on activities related to the production of "BRAYO CRISPY CHIPS". The findings demonstrate significant improvements in fine motor coordination, as children engaged in tasks like measuring, pouring, and packaging, promoting essential motor skills. Additionally, the initiative fostered an understanding of fundamental economic principles through simulated financial transactions, cultivating economic literacy. Socially, the collaborative nature of the project enhanced teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and confidence among participants. This edupreneurship model not only supports the development of entrepreneurial attitudes in early childhood but also promotes holistic growth across cognitive, social, and physical domains. The study recommends integrating similar edupreneurship activities into early childhood curricula to further enhance independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills, while also suggesting avenues for future research to assess the long-term impacts of such educational interventions.

Abstract

The purpose of the Kartu Research initiative is to address environmental issues related to the large amounts of paper used in various games and activities in several kindergartens, which are often simply discarded, burned, sold by weight, or taken home by the children without introducing other meaningful solutions for educational purposes. This research focuses on promoting recycling concepts by utilizing used materials to teach children about environmentally friendly behaviors and raising awareness of the importance of protecting the surrounding environment. This study employed a qualitative approach with students as subjects and was conducted during the first semester at a kindergarten in Slawi. Data analysis primarily followed the Miles and Huberman method, involving activities such as data collection, data display, and conclusion drawing. Additionally, documentation, observation, and interviews were conducted with relevant sources to integrate and collect data for analysis. The research results show that using eco-friendly paper at the studied kindergarten became an unforgettable experience and a gradual process in building children’s awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. Through the process of making plant cards from recycled paper, children were directly involved in recycling and learned about the negative impacts of burning, selling, or discarding paper, which pollutes the environment. They also understood that it is better to bury the paper to enable it to decompose, allowing it to eventually grow into vegetable plants since it had already been recycled into beneficial plant cards. The KARTU program implemented at this kindergarten was designed to instill eco-friendly values in children through various activities, including recycling, planting, marketing, selling, and maintenance as educational initiatives. This program has proven successful, though it is not yet optimal and still needs refinement, as it was an enjoyable first recycling experience for both teachers and students.

Abstract

Waste is one of the big problems in Indonesia which must immediately receive special attention in its handling. If it is not organized properly it will cause negative impacts such as environmental pollution which can damage the ecosystem. The increasing number of Indonesian people causes waste generation to also increase. So efforts are needed to process waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. The largest waste generation was recorded as 80% originating from organic waste (Oktavia & Rosariawari, 2020). Based on this background, the objectives of the Biowash Azama activity are: 1) increase students' understanding of processing waste, especially organic waste; 2) explain the process of making Biowash Azama so that it can speed up the process of decomposing organic waste; 3) invite students to practice directly processing organic waste; 4) invite students to be role models for the surrounding environment. The method the author uses is a qualitative descriptive method which is useful for exploring the perceptions and understanding of students and teachers regarding the Biowash Azama product as a science learning medium. In this method, interviews or observations can be conducted to collect data about how students receive learning with this product, as well as the impact they feel in terms of understanding environmental concepts and the decomposition of organic waste. The results achieved from this activity are that students better understand the concept of decomposing organic waste and the importance of environmentally friendly waste management, students know the steps for processing organic waste in a short time, students can practice directly processing organic waste, and students can become role models in their families each.

Abstract

Introducing local wisdom to elementary school students is an important step in creating a generation that knows their own culture. The introduction of local wisdom involves not only understanding traditions, but also the introduction of cultural products that have economic value, such as specialty foods. The purpose of this study is to develop entrepreneurial skills, critical thinking, and innovate independently through the product “Lumpia Wortel Tauge”. This model is designed to introduce the concept of edupreneurship by combining the material of natural resource utilization in science learning and the introduction of local wisdom through the process of making spring rolls. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used observation, interview, and questionnaire to measure active participation, collaboration among students, understanding of nutrition, and product production and promotion skills. The results showed that practice-based learning in spring roll making can improve students' understanding of science concepts as well as basic entrepreneurial skills. Thus, students are not only consumers of products, but also learn to be creative producers who appreciate local cultural heritage and understand the importance of healthy eating. The results recommend that students can learn entrepreneurship by utilizing local wisdom and adding innovation as a development product. Carrot bean sprouts spring rolls are a new potential that can develop practical entrepreneurial skills for students of SD Pangudi Luhur Santo Yusup.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peningkatan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat dalam pemecahan masalah melalui penerapan model pembelajaran tutor sebaya pada siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 1 Trosobo Kecamatan Sambi Kabupaten Boyolali. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dan melalui empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 1 Trosobo Kecamatan Sambi Kabupaten Boyolali. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model tutor sebaya dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat dalam pemecahan masalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Trosobo Kecamatan Sambi Kabupaten Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Hal ini ditandai dengan peningkatan secara nilai rata-rata tes, pada tes pratindakan 42,35 menjadi 55,88 dan di akhir tindakan (siklus 2) menjadi 70,58. Nilai tertinggi yang dicapai siswa pada saat pratindakan 100, sedangkan pada akhir siklus 100. Empat siswa yang memiliki nilai tertinggi saat pra tindakan ditunjuk guru sebagai tutor. Nilai terendah yang dicapai siswa pada saat pratindakan 0, sedangkan pada akhir siklus 0. Secara klasikal nilai rata-rata tes siswa mengalami peningkatan, tetapi masih ada siswa yang tidak mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini disebabkan karena siswa tersebut berkebutuhan khusus.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, Bilangan Bulat, Tutor Sebaya
