Abstract

This study examines the problem of learning effectiveness of the out side the box approach in solving creative problems in fifth semester mathematics education students at the University of Semarang in working on geometry problems. The sample technique used is cluster random sampling technique. The hypothesis test used is the one-sided test with the formula t test, completeness test, both tests are used to determine the effectiveness of learning. Based on the results of the study, the researchers draw the following conclusions; 1) Based on the results of this development research, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes in learning the out side the box approach in solving creative problems in mathematics education students in class VA are better than student learning outcomes in conventional learning class VB. 2) Based on the learning outcomes data for class students who use the out side the box learning approach in solving creative problems in mathematics education students seen from the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes achieving completeness

Abstract

This research is development research that designs products in the form of e-module mathematics for class XI SMA/SMK/MA. This research is focused on the feasibility of the product developed by involving validation from media experts and material experts. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching modules for students in the form of e-modules with mathematical logic material using the 4D model, namely. definition, design, development and dissemination phases. In this study, the development procedure was carried out up to the develop stage because the time for making and validating the product was limited. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation sheets consisting of media expert observation sheets and material expert observation sheets. The data analysis technique refers to the Likert scale and the results are described qualitatively. This mathematical logic e-module was first validated by media and materials experts as well as a student survey. The average percentage of the material expert's assessment was 87.5%, the percentage of the media expert's assessment was 86.8%, and the percentage of the student's conformity assessment was 86.2%, which means that the media from the e-module can be used in a very good category. Thus, this mathematical logic e-module product can be used in mathematics-logic material and can be utilized in teaching mathematics for class XI SMK

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMA kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Semarang pada materi statistika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengambil 3 siswa dari tiap kelas X yang telah mengerjakan asesmen formatif materi statistika. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah berupa tes tertulis dan pertanyaan wawancara yang dilakukan tiap individu. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa kedua subjek penelitian dapat memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yaitu S-1 dan S-2 sudah dapat merepresentasikan persoalan ke dalam bentuk tabel menggunakan model matematika dengan tepat, mampu menjelaskan jawaban dalam bentuk uraian yang relevan dan dapat memberikan penjelasan hasil pengerjaan berupa kesimpulan yang tepat. Sedangkan untuk S-3 belum mampu menjelaskan jawaban dalam bentuk uraian dengan tepat dan tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas jawabannya yang dikerjakannya. Kesalahan tersebut diakibatkan karena S-3 kurang teliti dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

One of the skills necessary for 21st-century society is the capacity for problem-solving. Students will be required to work in unfamiliar settings, solve problems they have never faced before, and use skills unrelated to any particular subject matter. GeoGebra is a learning environment that provides a variety of representations and simulates various mathematical models. This article aims to describe instructions for the use of Geogebra-assisted PBL in promoting students' capacity for problem-solving. The students who participated in this study consisted of 36 high school students. Mathematics learning is done using the GeoGebra application during the learning process. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis and qualitative research. The specific technique used in implementing GeoGebra-Assisted Problem Based Learning is students through two phases in each sub material. The first phase is focusing on the problems that lead to an understanding about representation for solutions and not solutions in inequality and inequality system. The second phase is focusing on the real world problems that lead to an understanding solving problems using GeoGebra. The results of the study show that teachers need to develop student exploration processes through representations, simulations, problems, and solutions using GeoGebra that are close to student reality. The use of GeoGebra-assisted PBL is mathematics learning is able to support student exploration so that students are more involved in the learning process by paying attention to student interaction and exploration. The use of GeoGebra makes students active knowledge builders, tracks the process of change, and keeps students engaged with teachers in mathematics teaching. The analysis carried out was supported by student learning outcomes, which showed that the average learning outcomes were significantly different and exceeded the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning and as many as 86% of students scored above the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning. The use of GeoGebra-assisted PBL considerably increased students' capacity for problem-solving, notably in terms of their capacity to recognize issues, obtain data, evaluate it, and suggest solutions. Additionally, students perceived that GeoGebra was a useful tool for accelerating their learning, offering dynamic and interesting learning opportunities, and strengthening their capacity for problem-solving.

Abstract

Proyek GEMMES (Gerakan Memilah dan Mengolah Sampah) merupakan sebuah pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk membentuk kepedulian lingkungan di TPQ Al Falah. Tujuan utama proyek ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta TPQ tentang pemilahan dan pengolahan sampah anorganik dan organik. Metode yang digunakan dalam proyek ini meliputi sosialisasi, edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Pelaksanaan dilakukan pada 17-25 Mei 2023, dimulai dengan tahap sosialisasi, peserta diperkenalkan dengan konsep pemilahan sampah anorganik dan organik serta manfaatnya bagi lingkungan. Selanjutnya, peserta mendapatkan edukasi mendalam mengenai cara mengolah sampah organik menjadi kompos yang bermanfaat dan sampah anorganik menjadi Eco curtain (eccur) yang kreatif. Tahap pelatihan, peserta diberikan panduan praktis dalam pembuatan kompos dan eccur serta dilakukan praktik pemilahan sampah dengan tong sampah yang dicat warna-warni. Pendampingan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan untuk membentuk kebiasaan positif dalam memilah sampah dan mengolahnya. Hasil proyek ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan peserta TPQ tentang pemilahan sampah anorganik dan organik. Target sasaran mampu mengolah sampah menjadi kompos yang berkualitas dan menciptakan karya seni dari sampah anorganik. Proyek ini memberikan kontribusi yang positif dalam membentuk kesadaran dan kepedulian lingkungan di TPQ Al Falah. Kesimpulannya yaitu proyek GEMMES dengan metode sosialisasi, edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan berhasil mencapai tujuan utamanya dalam membentuk kepedulian lingkungan di TPQ Al Falah, kerja sama dan dukungan yang baik dari pengurus dan ustazah TPQ merupakan faktor penting dalam kesuksesan proyek ini.The GEMMES project (Gerakan Memilah dan Mengolah Sampah) is a community service to form environmental awareness at TPQ Al Falah. The main objective of this project is to increase TPQ participants' knowledge about sorting and processing inorganic and organic waste. The methods used in this project include socialization, education, training, and mentoring. The implementation was carried out on May 17-25, 2023; starting with the socialization stage, participants were introduced to sorting inorganic and organic waste and its environmental benefits. Furthermore, participants received in-depth education on processing organic waste into useful compost and inorganic waste into creative Eco curtain (eccur). In the training phase, participants were given practical guidance in making compost and eccur and practiced sorting waste with colorfully painted trash cans. Mentoring is carried out continuously to form positive habits in sorting and processing waste. The results of this project showed a significant increase in TPQ participants' knowledge of sorting inorganic and organic waste. The target audience can process waste into quality compost and create artwork from inorganic waste. The project positively contributed to shaping environmental awareness and care at TPQ Al Falah. The conclusion is that the GEMMES project, with socialization, education, training, and mentoring methods, has achieved its main objective of shaping environmental awareness at TPQ Al Falah. Good cooperation and support from TPQ administrators and ustazah are important factors in the success of this project.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation and results of implementing the Problem-Based Learning Model (PBL) using Student Activity Sheets (LAS) to evaluate the development of mathematical problem-solving abilities of class X MPLB 1 students at SMK N 2 Semarang on the topic of single interest and compound interest. Class X MPLB 1, consisting of 36 students, is the focus of this research. The research method was carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of two meetings. The data collected comes from observations and tests, which are then analyzed using descriptive techniques. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in problem-solving abilities from cycle I to cycle II. Initially, the average problem-solving ability was 67.78, which then increased to 75 in cycle I and continued to increase to 88 in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1). Knowing that there are differences in students' mathematical communication abilities with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by GeoGebra Software and conventional learning models. 2) Find out which learning model is better between the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by GeoGebra Software and the conventional learning model for students' mathematical communication abilities. 3) To determine the influence of student activity on students' mathematical communication skills who use the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model assisted by GeoGebra Software. 4) To find out whether students' mathematical communication skills who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by GeoGebra Software achieve individual or classical mastery. The research method used in this research is the Quasi Experimental method. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The instruments for collecting data in this research are Pre-test and Post-test. . The population of this study were class XI students of SMAN 1 Wedung. The N-Gain test is the data analysis technique used in this research. The results of this research show that the N-Gain score in the experimental class (PBL method assisted by GeoGebra) is 62%. Meanwhile, the N-Gain score in the control class (conventional method) was 54%. In other words, it can be concluded that the mathematical communication skills of students who received PBL learning assisted by GeoGebra were significantly more effective than students who received learning using the conventional method

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran terbarukan telah menjadi solusi yang efektif dalam memajukan kualitas dan kuantitas pendidikan, Salah satu permasalahan prioritas yang ditemukan di Pattanawittaya School, Yala Songkhla Province, Thailand, adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran terbarukan yang masih belum optimal. Permasalahan ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi dan media pembelajaran terbarukan. PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengenalan kepada guru-guru mengenai media pembelajaran terbarukan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran berbasis IT. Selain itu, melalui kegiatan ini juga dilakukan pelatihan kepada guru-guru Pattanawittaya School agar mampu memanfaatkan media pembelajaran terbarukan dengan baik. Program pengabdian ini memiliki tiga metode, yaitu metode presentasi, metode demonstrasi, dan metode praktik. Hasil luaran pengabdian ini antara lain peserta dapat membuat media pembelajaran terbarukan berupa digital book dan video. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, peserta diharapkan mampu mengimplementasikan dan mengoptimalkan penggunaan media pembelajaran terbarukan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

In producing interesting interactive multimedia based on STEM with the help of virtual reality which is really needed by elementary school students in studying human digestion material, it is hoped that it can be a solution so that students understand human digestion material which cannot be seen by the naked eye and packaged virtually to increase students' understanding both physically. critical and creative research was carried out on the development of interactive multimedia based on virtual reality for learning about human digestion in fifth grade elementary schools using the MDLC stage model. with six stages, namely concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. Then, the VR-based interactive multimedia product was validated by experts and continued with a posttest and user response questionnaire with the following results: Based on the results of material expert validation and media expert validation, an average of 93 and 96 was obtained so that the interactive multimedia product was suitable for use for limited testing at SDN Rejosari. Semarang, then a limited test was carried out to obtain the results of the posttest with the t test obtained results of 0% 5%, which means that the results of learning human digestion material with VR-based interactive multimedia are better than conventional learning models. Looking at the average learning achievement in the mean column, Group Statistics table, the experimental class average is 86.30, while the average of the experimental class is 86.30. the mean of the control class was 60.56. These results show that the learning outcomes of the experimental class are better than the control class. R Square value of 0.844 = 84.4%. This value means that the influence of VR-based interactive multimedia on learning achievement is 84.4%, while 15.6% of learning achievement is influenced by other variables outside of the independent variables in this research.

Abstract

Kurangnya inovasi media pembelajaran yang variatif dan mudah digunakan dalam pembelajaran sebagai penyesuaian perkembangan teknologi. Media pembelajaran yang sederhana bersifat satu arah sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya kemampuan spasial siswa. Karena hal tersebut, peneliti mencoba mencari sebuah solusi dengan mengembangkan mobile learning matematika menggunakan virtual reality dalam meningkatkan kemampuan spasial siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan mobile learning matematika menggunakan virtual reality yang valid (layak) dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika , dan mengetahui penggunaan mobile learning matematika menggunakan virtual reality yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan spasial siswa. Jenis Penelitian adalah penelitian Research and Development. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan desain penelitian pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Sebelum diuji cobakan media pembelajaran terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil dari validasi ahli media dan ahli materi berkriteria sangat baik, yaitu untuk ahli media 87% dan ahli materi 94%. Media tersebut valid (layak) digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dari hasil uji coba penggunaan media dapat disimpulkan bahwa mobile learning matematika menggunakan virtual relity efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan spasial siswa dilihat dari ketuntasan belajar siswa ≥ 75%, hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol, dan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan spasial siswa yang dihitung menggunakan uji N-Gain. Dari hasil penilaian angket respon siswa mendapat skor 92%, media tersebut praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
