Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to increase the competency in using Canva at SMA Negeri 3 Vocational Youth. This program was designed to overcome the challenges teachers at these schools face, who often experience obstacles in integrating digital technology into the learning process. Most teachers in these schools have not been optimal in designing learning media based on the Canva Platform, resulting in a lack of innovation in delivering material in class. The training method includes various stages, starting from licensing, preparation, and implementation, which will take place from 8 to 10 August 2024, to the monitoring and evaluation stage. In this training, 40 teachers took part in sessions covering the basics of using Canva, graphic design techniques for learning, and strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum. The pre-test and post-test were evaluated to assess the increase in participants' understanding. Evaluation results show an increase in participants' understanding of 38%, which shows that this training effectively improves teachers' digital skills. This increase has an impact on improving individual teachers' abilities and can potentially improve the quality of learning in schools as a whole. Continuing this training can encourage the development of teacher professionalism in facing future technological challenges and create an educational culture that is more open to digital innovation.

Abstract

The income of Padang Tiji farming community has been sufficient to support their families so that some of them send their children to college. But recently, because of the failure of their banana farming business due to Fusarium wilt disease, their lives have become difficult. Therefore, we, the teaching staff of the Faculty of Agriculture, took the initiative to carry out community service to help banana farmers in Meukee Village, Padang Tiji District. The community service is in the form of guidance and training in making Trichoderma Sp from several sources including: Bamboo roots and leaves and from fertile soil that is still original through a number of media, which began by training 5 core workers as pioneers, then with the following stages: (1) Taking Trichoderma Sp mother from various sources, (2) Cultivating it on PDA media to purify, (3) Cultivating again on Corn, rice and husk media and (4) Propagation on Corn and Husk media in a larger capacity so that the result is that each member of the farming group is able to develop their own trichoderma reaching 10 kg of media. This guidance was very successful because more than 80% of the members of the "Makmu Beusare" farmer group have been able to make trichoderma from various sources and media with the best source being a mixture of fertile soil, bamboo roots and leaves, while the best breeding media from a number of media used is rice husks. has been used on their banana plants to prevent Fusarium oxysporium wilt disease.

Abstract

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is a valuable legume crop whose productivity depends on effective and environmentally friendly nutrient management. Eco-enzyme, a liquid organic product obtained from the fermentation of organic waste, has potential as a sustainable agricultural input; however, information regarding its optimal dosage and application method for peanut cultivation remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of eco-enzyme dosage, application method, and their interaction on the growth and yield components of peanut plants. The experiment was conducted using a factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor was eco-enzyme dosage at four levels: 0, 10, 15, and 20 mL plant?¹. The second factor was the application method, consisting of soil drenching and foliar spraying. Observations included vegetative growth parameters and yield components. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by a least significant difference test at the 5% level. The results showed that the eco-enzyme dosage significantly affected plant height at 30 and 45 days after planting, whereas the application method alone did not significantly influence most of the observed variables. However, a significant interaction between dosage and application method was observed for plant height at 45 days after planting, number of empty pods, fresh pod weight, dry pod weight, and seed weight. Higher eco-enzyme dosages combined with appropriate application methods tended to improve yield performance. In conclusion, eco-enzyme influenced peanut growth and yield selectively, and its effectiveness depended largely on the interaction between dosage and application method

Abstract

Acehnese wedding traditions place the dowry or jeulame as a symbol of honor, self-respect, and a form of responsibility from the man to the woman. However, in Gampong Ladang Tuha 1, there are no customary rules that specifically regulate the value of the dowry, so its determination is more influenced by family customs, social status, and the education level of the prospective bride. On the other hand, the annual surge in gold prices and differences in community economic conditions create a dilemma between following family customs, unwritten standards in society, or adapting to current social and economic conditions. This study aims to analyze the types of social actions of parents in determining the dowry in Gampong Ladang Tuha I based on Max Weber's theory of social action, which divides actions into four types: instrumental rationality actions, value-based actions, affective actions, and traditional actions. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques with ten informants, consisting of the Keuchik, four parents, and six young couples. The results show that there is a diversity of types of social actions of parents in determining the dowry. Some parents exhibit instrumental rationality, for example, setting a dowry based on the family's economic situation. Others base their actions on value rationality, such as setting a dowry based on educational background or religious values. Affective behavior is seen in parents who set a low dowry out of affection for their future daughter-in-law, while traditional behavior occurs when parents follow family customs without considering the family's economic situation.

Abstract

The quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in schools plays a crucial role in shaping the character and morals of Generation Z (Gen Z), who are growing up in the era of rapid digitalization. This article presents a critical review from an academic perspective on the quality of PAI, focusing on four main aspects: curriculum, management, supervision, and quality outcomes in the school environment. Digitalization offers significant opportunities and challenges, particularly in the relevance of teaching materials, the effectiveness of institutional management, professional supervision of teachers, and the achievement of educational goals. This analysis uses the framework of contemporary Islamic education and management figures to offer rational arguments and proactive solutions so that PAI can produce graduates who are not only digitally proficient but also strong in faith and noble character. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan perizinan yang diterapkan oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kota Subulussalam dalam rangka meningkatkan pelayanan publik di sektor kesehatan. Fokus utama dari kajian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi kebijakan perizinan, efektivitas proses perizinan, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaannya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pegawai Dinas Kesehatan, pengamatan langsung, serta telaah dokumen kebijakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Dinas Kesehatan telah menerapkan sistem perizinan yang sesuai dengan regulasi nasional, namun masih terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap prosedur perizinan, serta lambatnya integrasi sistem digitalisasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya perbaikan dalam bentuk peningkatan kapasitas aparatur, sosialisasi kebijakan, dan modernisasi sistem perizinan untuk mewujudkan pelayanan kesehatan yang transparan, cepat, dan akuntabel.

Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive behavior that is carried out intentionally and repeatedly by individuals or groups who possess greater power against those who are weaker, whether physically, verbally, socially, or through digital media. This phenomenon has become a serious problem in Indonesia, particularly within the school environment, with a relatively high prevalence in the Southeast Asian region. Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and the Office of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection indicate that bullying cases most frequently occur at the elementary school level. The high incidence of bullying among school-aged children is closely related to ongoing cognitive, physical, mental, and social development, which makes children vulnerable to moral and social problems. Bullying behavior is influenced by internal factors such as age, gender, and personality characteristics, as well as external factors including family, environmental conditions, and peer influence. The impacts of bullying are extensive for both victims and perpetrators, ranging from psychological disorders and decreased academic achievement to an increased risk of antisocial behavior in the future. Therefore, bullying prevention requires the involvement of multiple stakeholders through education, strict school policies, the strengthening of the roles of teachers and counselors, and the utilization of technology. These integrated efforts are expected to create a safe, inclusive educational environment that supports optimal child development.

Abstract

Kesadaran remaja tentang bahaya narkotika memegang peran krusial dalam upaya pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkotika di kalangan mereka. Penyalahgunaan narkotika pada remaja dapat memiliki dampak yang merusak, tidak hanya pada kesehatan fisik dan mental mereka, tetapi juga pada aspek sosial dan akademik. Melalui pemahaman yang mendalam tentang jenis-jenis narkotika, risiko ketergantungan, serta konsekuensi hukum dan sosialnya, remaja dapat membuat keputusan yang bijak dan menghindari godaan penggunaan narkotika. Pendidikan yang tepat dan penyuluhan yang efektif dapat memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ini. Artikel ini menguraikan signifikansi kesadaran remaja tentang bahaya narkotika sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk membangun masyarakat yang lebih sehat dan aman dari pengaruh negatif narkotika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik morfometrik dan hubungan panjang–berat kerang lokan (Polymesoda sp ) di Sungai Batang Masang, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat. Sampel dikumpulkan dari tiga lokasi, yaitu kawasan permukiman, sekitar jembatan, dan daerah muara. Parameter yang diamati meliputi panjang, lebar, dan tinggi cangkang, serta bobot tubuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerang dari stasiun muara (Stasiun III) memiliki ukuran rata-rata paling besar dengan panjang 54,39 ± 1,88 mm dan bobot 29,63 ± 1,59 g. Analisis regresi panjang–berat menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan alometrik negatif (b 3) di seluruh stasiun, yang berarti pertumbuhan panjang lebih cepat daripada penambahan bobot. Faktor lingkungan, terutama kandungan oksigen terlarut dan jenis substrat, berperan penting dalam memengaruhi pertumbuhan kerang. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa analisis morfometrik dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai indikator biologis kondisi ekosistem estuaria sekaligus sebagai dasar dalam pengelolaan berkelanjutan sumber daya kerang lokan.

Abstract

This article explores religious moderation as a form of Islamic legal politics in Indonesia from both philosophical and juridical perspectives. Using a qualitative normative approach, the study analyzes how the concept of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah (the higher objectives of Islamic law) and siyāsah syar‘iyyah (Islamic public policy) are reflected in the government’s policy on religious moderation initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs since 2019. The research argues that religious moderation represents not only a sociocultural strategy but also a legal-political manifestation of Islamic values aimed at ensuring justice, balance, and public welfare within Indonesia’s pluralistic society. Through an interpretative analysis of relevant literature, laws, and state policies, this study finds that the principle of moderation aligns harmoniously with the Pancasila-based constitutional framework and strengthens the position of Islamic law as an ethical foundation for national legal development. In conclusion, religious moderation serves as an adaptive expression of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah in Indonesia’s democratic context, promoting peaceful coexistence, legal pluralism, and the realization of collective welfare (maslahah ‘ammah) as envisioned in Islamic jurisprudence.
