Abstract

Abstract

Acne is a skin disease caused by pathogenic bacteria such as Propionibacterium acne and Staphylococcus aureus. Pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica) are a natural ingredient that has antibacterial properties. This ingredient was combined with niacinamide as an antioxidant in a peel-off gel mask preparation to make it easier to use. This study aimed to determine the best peel-off gel mask formula for pegagan leaf extract and niacinamide based on the evaluation of characteristics and stability and antibacterial, antioxidant, and irritant effects on the skin. In this study, we used experimental methods. Pegagan leaf extract was varied in concentrations of 1.25%, 2.5%, and 5%. In the characteristic test, which included organoleptic tests, viscosity, spreadability, drying time, and pH value, we obtained the preparation results with good characteristics. The preparation has good physical stability but is not chemically stable, and it was tested using the freeze-thaw method. The results of the antioxidant test of the preparations in the three formulas showed weak antioxidant activity, with IC50 values of F1 228.54ppm, F2 147.22ppm, and F3 120.35ppm. The results of the antibacterial test showed that the preparations had more potential for Propionibacterium acne bacteria, with results of F1 15.43±1.52mm, F2 15.57±0.82mm, and F3 17.37±0.34mm. The three formulas found no irritation effects using the HET-CAM method. Based on the results of this study, the peel-off gel mask of pegagan leaf extract combined with niacinamide has the potential as an anti-acne preparation.

Abstract

Abstract Artificial lighting plays an important role in creating visual comfort and energy efficiency in enclosed spaces, especially in public buildings such as auditoriums. Lighting quality is measured through light intensity (lux) and uniformity of light distribution according to the SNI 6197:2011 standard. The standard stipulates a minimum lighting level of 300 lux and a uniformity ratio of 0.7 for spaces with moderate to high visual activity. This study aims to analyze the distribution of artificial light intensity in the Budi Utomo Auditorium, Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan using a lux meter and Surfer software. Measurements were conducted at 290 points with a distance between points of 60 cm with all lights on. The measurement results show that the light intensity in the auditorium ranges from 50 to 110 lux with an average of 84.2 lux, still far below the SNI standard. The mapping results using Surfer show that the center area of the auditorium has the highest intensity, while the front and rear edges are lower. The lighting uniformity ratio value of 0.59 indicates that the light distribution is not yet even. This situation indicates that the auditorium's lighting system is suboptimal, both in terms of intensity and distribution, which can reduce visual comfort. Additional lighting points, the use of high-efficiency lamps, and the rearrangement of fixtures are needed to ensure efficient and even lighting and meet national standards.

Abstract

Although Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are formally recognized within the national education system, the Pesantren Law lacks a specific gender-responsive legal framework. Consequently, male domination, policies without measurable indicators, and low gender literacy continue to perpetuate systemic inequality. This study analyzes the structural, cultural, and regulatory barriers to gender mainstreaming in pesantren, including male domination, normative policies, low gender literacy, the absence of a gender-responsive legal framework in the Pesantren Law, and weak monitoring mechanisms. This study employed a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review (SLR) method based on data from Publish or Perish, ERIC, and Google Scholar databases from 2013–2023. Thematic analysis was conducted using NVivo, while the PRISMA framework ensured validity and reliability. This study identified three findings: (1) gender mainstreaming in pesantren is hindered by male domination, normative policies, low literacy, and no gender framework in the Pesantren Law; (2) the Law lacks indicators and monitoring, so male domination in leadership and curriculum persists; (3) male leadership and conservative interpretations impede equality, demanding curriculum reform, inclusive policies, and women’s empowerment. This study concludes that gender mainstreaming in pesantren remains stagnant due to male domination, policies lacking measurable indicators, and weak regulatory frameworks, thereby making structural reform an urgent necessity. This study contributes to expanding the theory of power relations in education while offering substantive and accountable gender policy reforms in pesantren.

Abstract

An antenna radiation pattern experiment has been carried out with the aim of determining the patch antenna radiation pattern on a logarithmic and linear scale, understanding the properties and principles of the antenna, and understanding the types of antenna radiation patterns. In the experiment, the angle, frequency, and radian intensity data were obtained, and the value of the linear intensity was calculated. With the principle of converting electrical signals into electromagnetic signals. a graph between angle and intensity is obtained. the graph between radian intensity and angle forms a circular pattern, in which the value of intensity and frequency at each point with a difference of 5 degrees has almost the same value. In conclusion, the antenna is a structure that can receive and release electromagnetic waves in the air. The patch antenna used has a unidirectional radiation pattern. Converts electromagnetic signals into electrical signals and vice versa, has a certain radiation pattern, and is easily disturbed by metallic materials.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to various aspects of human life, including the field of Islamic education. The implementation of AI in educational governance offers substantial opportunities for administrative efficiency, personalized learning, and data-driven decision-making optimization. However, the dominance of technology also poses serious challenges, including the decline of humanistic dimensions, spirituality, empathy, and interpersonal relationships within the educational process. This study aims to reconstruct human-centered Islamic education management as a response to the dominance of Artificial Intelligence. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through the analysis of scientific journals, books, and academic documents related to Islamic education management, human-centered education, and Artificial Intelligence. The findings reveal that the reconstruction of human-centered Islamic education management should be developed through five main aspects: strengthening spiritual leadership, integrating technological ethics, revitalizing the culture of empathy in learning, reinforcing tawhid values in educational governance, and developing a collaborative educational system based on humanistic technology. This study confirms that AI cannot replace the humanistic role of teachers and spiritual values in Islamic education. Therefore, the human-centered approach becomes an essential foundation for maintaining balance between technological advancement and the objectives of Islamic education oriented toward the formation of insan kamil. Abstract

This study evaluates the Teaching Assistance program of a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education study program at an Islamic elementary school in Sidoarjo by integrating the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model with Cognitive Apprenticeship theory to assess professional identity formation. Utilising a qualitative case study design with the CIPP model of evaluation study, data were collected through document analysis, classroom observations, and structured interviews with key stakeholders, including the program head, field supervisors, preservice teachers as students’ tutees, and tutor teachers. Thematic analysis was conducted using an interactive model, employing CIPP as the macro-framework and the six pillars of Cognitive Apprenticeship as the analytical lens. The findings indicate that the Teaching Assistance Program successfully facilitated the transfer of expert pedagogical reasoning. The pillars of modelling, coaching, and scaffolding organically emerged, enabling preservice teachers to overcome initial culture shock and achieve independent classroom mastery. However, the current Learning Management System (LMS) primarily serves as a summative tool and lacks the interactive features needed to support the articulation and reflection phases fully. Integrating Cognitive Apprenticeship within the MBKM framework effectively fosters preservice teachers’ pedagogical reasoning. Upgrading the digital infrastructure to support asynchronous metacognitive reflection and providing specialised coaching for field supervisors are recommended to optimise the program.
