Abstract

Kalimantan Selatan merupakan provinsi yang memiliki sumber daya alam yang melimpah khususnya di sektor pertambangan. Logam berat hasil buangan tambang batubara yang tidak diolah bersifat sangat beracun bagi lingkungan dan manusia seperti merkuri dan kobalt yang berdampak pada kesehatan manusia seperti gangguan proses glikolisis. Penelitian in bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi logam berat merkuri dan kobalt terhadap enzim glukokinase, 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-1, dipeptidyl peptidase-IV, dan Interleukin-1β dengan PDB ID: 1V4S, 2BEL, 1J2E, 9ILB yang diambil dari protein data bank serta menggukan website molecular docking MIB2: Metal Ion Binding Site Prediction and Docking server. Hasil docking divisualisasikan menggunakan aplikasi Chimera versi 1.16. Ditemukan hasil dari molecular docking logam berat merkuri dan kobalt dapat berinteraksi dengan keempat protein. Ion logam merkuri berikatan secara hidrofobik dengan residu asam amino interleukin 1 β dan ikatan kovalen koordinasi glukokinase, 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-1, dan dipeptidyl peptidase-IV. Sedangkan ion logam kobalt berikatan secara kovalen koordinasi dengan residu asam amino enzim glukokinase, 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-1, dipeptidyl peptidase-IV, dan Interleukin-1β. Dari keempat protein, ion logam merkuri berikatan paling kuat dengan enzim dipeptidyl peptidase-IV dikarenakan dipeptidyl peptidase-IV memiliki binding potensial yang lebih kuat tetapi pada jarak ikatan ion merkuri lebih mendekati ke enzim glukokinase tersebut.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit kompleks dengan keadaan dimana kadar glukosa plasma di atas normal. Penyakit ini dimanifestasikan pada jalur seluler yang berbeda-beda yaitu sekresi insulin, resistensi insulin, dan penyerapan karbohidrat. Kobalt dan merkuri merupakan logam yang berpotensi memiliki peran dalam kejadian diabetes melitus. Disebutkan bahwa logam berat meningkatkan gangguan dari pembentukan sel di pulau-pulau. Langerhans yang pada akhirnya terjadi resistensi insulin. Namun, untuk mekanismenya masih belum diketahui. Terdapat beberapa molekul protein yang keberadaannya berpengaruh besar pada kejadian diabetes melitus antara lain adenosine monophosphate protein kinase (AMPK), glutamine fructose-6-phosphate amidotransferase (GFAT), protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTP) dan tyrosine kinase insulin receptor. Afinitas pengikatan ion logam berat dengan AMPK terjadi pada sisi alosterik Cystein B sintase (CBS) menjadi domain tempat terikatnya residu asam amino hasil interaksi. Enzim GFAT dengan ion logam berat terjadi pada binding site dari GFAT terletak pada domain N-terminal. Interaksi antara PTP dengan ion logam pada active site yang terletak di dekat domain N-terminal yang berikatan yang menunjukkan sistein sebagai anion thiolate dan akan terinaktivasi apabila mengalami oksidasi. Tyrosine kinase insulin receptor dengan ion logam berat terjadi pada active site yang terletak di dekat domain C-terminal yang berikatan yang menunjukkan tyrosine yang bergerak menuju lingkaran aktivasi IRK.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan yang serius dan harus segera ditangani. Data profil kesehatan di provinsi Kalimantan Selatan menunjukkan peningkatan jumlah penderita hipertensi dari 24,7% di tahun 2020 menjadi 34,3% di tahun 2021. Hasil diagnosis komunitas di Kecamatan Satui Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu didapatkan bahwa 9,21% dari 152 warga wilayah RT 14 dan RT 15 Desa Wonorejo, Kecamatan Satui Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu mengalami hipertensi. Akan tetapi, masalah yang dihadapi oleh warga adalah belum adanya kader yang dapat memantau tekanan darah warga secara berkala. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah membentuk kader antihipertensi sebagai upaya untuk menanggulangi hipertensi di daerah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini terbagi atas dua tahap, yakni pembentukan kader yang didahului dengan penyuluhan. Tahap selanjutnya adalah melatih kader antihipertensi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-Agustus 2022. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya kader antihipertensi yang dapat melayani warga dalam 2 kali per bulan dengan rata-rata 2-3 orang tiap kunjungan. Kader yang terbentuk memiliki keterampilan berkomunikasi yang baik sehingga pencegahan hipertensi di masyarakat dapat dicegah.Hypertension is a serious health problem and must be addressed immediately. Health profile data in South Kalimantan province shows an increase in the number of people with hypertension from 24.7% in 2020 to 34.3% in 2021. The results of community diagnosis in Satui Subdistrict, Tanah Bumbu Regency, found that 9.21% of 152 residents of RT 14 and RT 15 Wonorejo Village, Satui Subdistrict, Tanah Bumbu Regency had hypertension. However, the problem residents face is that no cadre can monitor residents' blood pressure regularly. Thus, the purpose of this community service is to form antihypertensive cadres to overcome hypertension in the area. The method used in this activity is divided into two stages, namely the formation of cadres, which is preceded by counseling. The next stage is to train antihypertensive cadres. The activity was carried out in July-August 2022. The conclusion of this activity is the formation of antihypertensive cadres who can serve residents two times per month with an average of 2-3 people per visit. The formed cadres have good communication skills so that the prevention of hypertension in the community can be prevented.

Abstract

Video merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang memadukan unsur suara dan gambar. Penggunaan video pembelajaran sangat mendukung implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam kebebasan belajar tanpa batas ruang dan waktu. Dengan demikian, diperlukan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam rangka mendukung implementasi kurikulum merdeka melalui pembuatan video pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, hal ini masih menjadi permasalahan bagi mitra, karena semua peserta belum dapat mengaplikasikan aplikasi Microsoft PowerPoint untuk pembuatan video pembelajaran. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yakni bimbingan teknis pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan Microsoft PowerPoint bagi guru mata pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan, yakni pemberian materi dan penugasan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1-3 Agustus 2022 dan diikuti oleh 30 guru mata pelajaran IPA se Banjarbaru. Hasil kegiatan bimbingan teknis menghasilkan 10 video pembelajaran dari 10 kelompok (masing-masing kelompok 3 orang guru mata pelajaran biologi/fisika). Video pembelajaran yang dihasilkan telah diunggah ke kanal YouTube masing-masing peserta. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan bimbingan teknis berjalan dengan lancar dan 100% target tercapai. Bimbingan teknis ini diharapkan dapat dihasilkan video-video pembelajaran yang lebih menarik sehingga siswa lebih mudah untuk memahami.Video is one of the learning media that combines sound and image elements. The use of learning videos strongly supports the implementation of an independent curriculum with freedom of learning without space and time limits. Thus, teachers' abilities and skills are needed to support the implementation of an independent curriculum through making learning videos. However, this is still a problem for partners because all participants have not been able to apply the Microsoft PowerPoint application for making learning videos. In this regard, the purpose of this community service is technical guidance for making learning videos using Microsoft PowerPoint for science subject teachers. The method used, namely, providing material and assignments. This activity was carried out on August 1-3, 2022, and was attended by 30 science subject teachers in Banjarbaru. The results of technical guidance activities produced ten learning videos from 10 groups (each group of 3 biology/physics subject teachers). The resulting learning videos have been uploaded to the YouTube channel of each participant. Thus, it can be concluded that the technical guidance activities ran smoothly, and 100% of the target was achieved. This technical guidance is expected to produce more interesting learning videos to make students easier to understand.

Abstract

Program kegiatan masyarakat (PKM) ini merupakan bagian edukasi publik terhadap masa endemi or post-covid-19. Ulasan PKM sebagai berikut ini; Setelah penentuan struktur DNA oleh Watson-Crick, setelah amplifikasi dan pengurutan DNA oleh Mullis dan Sanger, selanjutnya Human Genome Project mambaca 3,055 milyar urutan pasang basa manusia abad 21 ini. Bank-bank data DNA/protein atau informasi biologi telah berdiri seperti; NCBI, DDBJ dan EMBI telah memuat lebih 500 juta urutan DNA berbagai jenis species. Bank ini sumber genomics, proteomics, metabolomics dan economics sekaligus, pada masa depan. Bagi Carpentier dan Daudna bukan hanya sekedar jumlah urutan DNA yang luar biasa tetapi harta karun yang tidak ternilai harganya, mengapa? Karena dia tidak buta huruf membaca urutan DNA, karena dia mampu memilih dan memilah mana fragmen yang palindromics mana yang bukan. Mana yang genes musics mana yang bukan. Mana genes memory penyandi antibody mana yang bukan. Ringkasnya seluruh persoalan genetic tubuh manusia dapat dibaca, di Human Genom Project ini. Jadi, apakah kita tetap ingin menutup mata. Metode structural equation modelling (SEM) dengan uji pretest dan post test terhadap tulisan asal usul PCR ini. Hasil uji ditunjukan kepada 32 responden berumur kisaran 18 tahunan dan 12 responden berumur kisaran 19 tahunan, berturut-turut sebagai berikut; sangat mengerti (0), mengerti (80,55), kurang mengerti (19,45) dan tidak mengerti (0); dan sangat mengerti (4,16), mengerti (82,83), kurang mengerti (13,03) dan tidak mengerti (0). Respon terhadap urgensi epistemologi PCR, untuk yang merumur 19 tahunan lebih mengerti daripada responden yang berumur 18 tahun, walaupun perbedaannya tidak nyata.

Abstract

Lead (Pb) is a class of heavy metals that are most commonly used in the motor vehicle industry because lead reacts easily with other compounds. These compounds produce accumulative neurotoxic toxins that are very harmful to the human body. Workshop mechanics are potentially at risk of lead poisoning. Lead can enter the body through absorption mechanisms (respiratory tract, digestion, and skin). Lead is distributed in the body and eliminated 60% through the kidneys then excreted into urine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to lead levels in the urine of authorized workshop mechanics. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design on 50 respondents of authorized workshop mechanics in Banjarbaru City area by total sampling. Data were analyzed using Spearman Rho test with 95% CI. There was a concentration of lead in the urine of authorized workshop mechanics between 0.024-0.062 mg/L. The results of correlation analysis of age (p-value 0.705), tenure (p-value 0.550) and smoking habits (p-value 0.565) did not have a significant correlation with urine lead levels. There is no relationship between age, length of service and smoking habits on urine lead levels of authorized workshop mechanics in Banjarbaru City area.

Abstract

Maternal mortality in Indonesia is still relatively high compared to neighboring countries in ASEAN, Indonesia's position globally or regionally is the second highest MMR after Laos. Maternal death (direct obstetric death) is a direct death as a result of obstetric complications in pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. There were some contradictive researches about obstetric and maternal death.  Some studies related, and other did not. The objective of this study was to analyze some articles that discuss the relationship of obstetric complications toward the case of maternal mortality in Indonesia In this study, an analysis of articles regarding the relationship of obstetric complications to the incidence of maternal death in Indonesia was conducted using the meta-analysis method. Obtained 11 full (full text) research articles published online in 2015-2020, searched using the Google Scholar database, PubMed. Odds Ratio is calculated by table summary of results-model-fixed-effect, using Meta-Analysis Calculator Website Meta-mar program (Free online Meta-Analysis Service). A total of 11 articles were included in the meta-analysis showing the results of maternal deaths caused by obstetric complications OR = 3,14 (95% CI 2,354-,.199). It can be concluded that obstetric complications have a 3,14 times greater risk of maternal death.

Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior (CHLB) is a health program implemented in 1996. It is a social engineering to make as many agents of change from the community as possible to improve their quality of daily life for more clean and healthy. Riskesdas data for 2007, 2013, and 2018 state that CHLB in Indonesia has increased by only 28%, but has yet to reach the Ministry of Health's primary target, around 100% of Indonesians implement CHLB. This study aims to analyze health workers' associated knowledge, attitude, and role with clean and healthy living behaviors (CHLB).  This research uses a meta-analysis research design with a correlation meta-analysis research plan. Articles were taken from Google Scholar and PubMed databases. The 12 relevant articles according to the inclusion criteria using Review Manager 5.4. The result of the study showed knowledge is associated with CHLB with p=0.00001 and pOR value= 3.80; CI 95% 2.40-6.02, attitude is associated with CHLB with p=0.00001 and pOR value= 3.12; CI 95% 2.41-4.04 and role of health workers are associated with CHLB p=0.0001 and pOR value= 3.01; CI 95%= 1.93-4.72. Knowledge, attitude and role of health workers are related to clean and healthy living behavior (CHLB).

Abstract

The three-dimensional (3D) structure of proteins is necessary to understand the properties and functions of proteins. Determining protein structure by laboratory equipment is quite complicated and expensive. An alternative method to predict the 3D structure of proteins in the in silico method. One of the in silico methods is homology modeling. Homology modeling is done using the SWISS-MODEL server. Proteins that will be modeled in the 3D structure are proteins that do not yet have a structure in the RCSB PDB database. Protein sequences were obtained from the UniProt database with code A0A0B6VWS2. The results showed that there were two models selected, namely model-1 with the PDB code template 1q0e and model-2 with the PDB code template 3gtv. The results of sequence alignment and model visualization show that model-1 and model-2 are identical. The evaluation and assessment of model-1 on the Ramachandran Plot have a Favored area of ??97.36%, a MolProbity score of 0.79, and a QMEAN value is 1.13. Model-1 is a good 3D protein structure model.

Abstract

Abstract The Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Bangkiling Raya Village is one of the Islamic boarding schools whose students do not yet have many soft skills, one of which is as an entrepreneur. The Service Team from ULM together with PT Adaro Indonesia through the Grand Matching Fund program plans to carry out community service activities at that location with the material of kelulut honey bee cultivation. Service activities carried out include preliminary survey activities, socialization or counseling, training and mentoring. During the survey, the service team was well received by village officials and partners and they were very enthusiastic about participating in this service activity. The socialization activity was carried out by the service team with KKN students from ULM and went well. The training provided to partners includes the cultivation of kelulut honey bees, namely the management of kelulut honey bee cultivation. Mentoring activities include accompanying partners from cultivation to harvesting and marketing assisted by KKN students. From the results of community service activities there is a problem, namely honey colonies that do not develop. To overcome this problem, the service team conducts socialization and training on solving kelulut bee colonies and care management so that the colony develops well. In addition, the team also provided motivation to be passionate about cultivating kelulut honey bees. Tim Pengabdi dari ULM bersama PT Adaro Indonesia melalui program Grand Matching Fund telah melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian di lokasi tersebut dengan materi budidaya lebah madu kelulut. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi kegiatan survey pendahuluan, sosialisasi atau penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Selama survey, tim pengabdi diterima dengan baik oleh aparat desa dan mitra serta mereka sangat antusias untuk mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilakukan tim pengabdi bersama mahasiswa KKN dari ULM dan berjalan dengan baik. Pelatihan yang diberikan kepada mitra meliputi budidaya lebah madu kelulut yaitu manajemen budidaya lebah madu kelulut. Kegiatan pendampingan meliputi mendampingi mitra dari budidaya hingga pemanenan dan pemasaran dibantu oleh mahasiswa KKN. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian terdapat masalah yaitu koloni madu yang tidak berkembang. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, tim pengabdi melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan mengenai pemecahan koloni lebah kelulut serta manajemen perawatan agar koloni berkembang dengan baik. Selain itu, tim juga memberikan motivasi agar semangat dalam membudidayakan lebah madu kelulut. Kata Kunci: lebah; Trigona sp; budidaya; penambahan stup; Grand Matching Fund
