Abstract

Kepercayaan diri saat berbicara di hadapan audiens yang besar diduga dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh orang tua sejak dini. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk membangun rasa percaya diri mahasiswa, khususnya dalam hal komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pola asuh otoriter yang diterapkan oleh orang tua berpengaruh terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang dilakukan terhadap 75 mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2023 di UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak sederhana dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner berbasis skala Likert, dan data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai pengaruh pola asuh terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi.

Abstract

interaksi simbolik berasal dari dua aliran yaitu mahzab chicago dan mahzab lowo. Interaksi simbolik biasanya digunakan oleh penyandang tunarungu yaitu dengan komunikasi non-verbal atau bahasa isyarat. Tunarungu ialah gangguan pendengaran yang bisa disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, seperti kelainan bawaan, cedera atau trauma pada telinga, infeksi atau penyakit, penuaan, dan paparan suara keras yang berkepanjangan. Banyak penyandang tunarungu yang tidak dapat berkomunikasi dengan keluarga atau teman, dikarenakan kekurangan yang dimiliki, mereka mencoba berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa yang mereka ketahui dengan gerakan tangan atau tubuh yang diharapkan bisa di mengerti oleh anggota keluarga atau teman mereka supaya tidak ada kesalahpahaman dalam berkomunikasi. Kita bisa mengetahui seberapa pentingnya bahasa isyarat dari drama korea “Twinkling Watermelon” karena bahasa ini digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, seperti si pemeran utama dalam drama Korea ini yang menggunakan bahasa isyarat untuk membantu agar orang tuanya di masa lalu bisa berkomunikasi dan saling memahami perasaan satu sama lain sehingga mereka dapat menciptakan perasaan yang dalam satu sama lain.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the marketing communication strategy implemented by Almaz Fried Chicken Kenten Branch in attracting Muslim consumers in Palembang City, particularly in the context of rising consumer awareness regarding global issues such as the boycott of pro-Israeli products and the growing demand for halal local products. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of promotional materials and social media content used by Almaz Fried Chicken. The findings reveal that Almaz Fried Chicken applies an integrated marketing communication strategy rooted in Islamic values. This includes the delivery of messages emphasizing halal certification, Islamic ethics in service, religious-themed interior visuals, and the use of social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok to communicate promotions and social concern. Furthermore, Almaz strengthens its relationship with the local Muslim community through loyalty programs, social collaborations, and a 5% revenue donation to Palestine. This approach fosters emotional engagement and enhances consumer loyalty. The study concludes that a marketing communication strategy designed with consideration of religious values and social issues can serve as a strong differentiating factor in building trust among Muslim consumers. Marketing communication thus functions not only as a promotional tool but also as a means to reinforce brand identity and social contribution within the Muslim community

Abstract

Perkembangan media sosial telah mengubah pola komunikasi dan pemasaran dalam industri coffee shop, termasuk dalam membangun loyalitas pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi media sosial Instagram yang digunakan oleh Naka Signature, sebuah coffee shop di Palembang, dalam membentuk dan mempertahankan loyalitas konsumen. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Fokus utama terletak pada strategi konten, interaksi dengan konsumen, dan penerapan nilai-nilai Relationship Marketing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Naka Signature menerapkan strategi komunikasi digital yang konsisten, personal, dan interaktif melalui berbagai fitur Instagram seperti Reels, Stories, dan Live. Kepercayaan konsumen dibangun melalui transparansi informasi, penggunaan testimoni pelanggan, serta respons cepat terhadap komentar dan pesan. Sementara itu, komitmen konsumen diperkuat melalui program loyalitas “Inner Circle”, pelibatan konsumen dalam konten, serta pendekatan emosional yang menjadikan konsumen sebagai bagian dari komunitas brand. Keberhasilan strategi ini didukung oleh kekuatan visual brand, kolaborasi tim internal, dan pemanfaatan fitur Instagram secara optimal. Namun, terdapat pula kendala seperti perubahan algoritma platform, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, dan tingginya persaingan visual antar brand sejenis. Strategi yang diterapkan terbukti sejalan dengan teori Relationship Marketing yang menekankan pentingnya trust dan commitment dalam membangun loyalitas jangka panjang. Dengan demikian, strategi digital berbasis hubungan yang dilakukan oleh Naka Signature dapat dijadikan contoh praktik yang relevan dan efektif bagi pelaku bisnis F&B di era digital saat ini. Abstract

This research discusses the role of persuasive communication in increasing Generation Z's interest in reading at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service. Generation Z, which is highly influenced by technology and social media, shows a low tendency towards reading, preferring visual content over print media. The aim of this research is to determine persuasive communication in increasing the reading interest of generation z at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. In this research, researchers also used survey research, interviews and documentation to obtain data regarding persuasive communication in increasing Generation Z's interest in reading in the South Sumatra Province Library Service. The results of the research show that persuasive communication in increasing Generation Z's interest in reading is working quite well. Among them Persuasive communication activities carried out include mobile libraries, reading corners, banners. In conclusion, Persuasive Communication in increasing Generation Z' interest in reading at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service has been going quite well. This can be seen from the increasing number of visitors and also the good response from visitors regarding the activities that have been carried out

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi di era digital telah mengubah pola perilaku konsumen, khususnya dalam sektor pemasaran dan promosi produk. Salah satu platform media sosial yang berkembang pesat adalah TikTok, yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga menjadi sarana promosi yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi TikTok terhadap minat beli produk kecantikan Benings Clinic. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 25 responden yang merupakan masyarakat Kecamatan Kemuning Palembang. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, linearitas, dan regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi TikTok berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen terhadap produk Benings Clinic. TikTok sebagai media promosi mampu meningkatkan daya tarik, rasa percaya, dan keinginan konsumen untuk membeli produk kecantikan yang ditawarkan.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Communication Science students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang in organizing the 2025 Communication Festival as a practical application of Public Relations (PR). The students of class PR 2271 A, sixth semester, served as the core organizing committee, managing the event from planning to evaluation. They applied essential PR functions such as media relations, event management, digital publication,and crisis communication.This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method.Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model.The findings reveal that the Communication Festival served as a real platform for students to implement PR theories and develop practical, hands-on experience aligned with Kolb's experiential learning model. Students demonstrated not only the ability to perform strategic communication tasks but also adaptability in facing communication challenges during the event. These findings highlight the importance of integrating theory and practice in communication education and the need to encourage experiential-based activities within the academic curriculum. The Communication Festival not only strengthened students'competencies but also contributed positively to the institutional image.

Abstract

The transformation of the public discussion space on Radio Elshinta Palembang's Beladas program demonstrates a shift in community communication patterns from mere information consumption to active two-way interaction. This study aims to determine how the Beladas program plays a role in strengthening public participation and serving as a platform for community dialogue. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects included broadcasters, local communities, and active listeners of the Beladas program. The results indicate that the program is able to provide an inclusive dialogue space and encourage active community involvement in addressing important issues. Beladas is also considered capable of bridging communication between various communities, improving media literacy, and strengthening the role of radio as a traditional medium that remains relevant in the digital age. However, challenges such as adapting to digital platforms and limited online interaction remain obstacles. In conclusion, the Beladas program can be an effective interactive broadcast model for building public discussion spaces at the local level. Abstract

This study aims to examine the communication strategy of the South Sumatra protocol public relations in maintaining the image of the local government. In the process of achieving this, the focus is on the public relations of the Palembang City Government and several communities living in the city of Palembang. Public relations plays an important role in every institution because public relations plays a role in shaping the image of the company/institution. In shaping the image of an institution, public relations usually has extensive relations. This study aims to determine how the communication strategy of public relations protocol and its obstacles in improving the image of the local government. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy carried out by the Public Relations protocol of the Palembang City Government is to build good communication with the public such as holding personal approaches, press conferences, press conferences, media gatherings. So all of that is solely to build good communication between the government and the media. So that ultimately will improve the image of the Palembang City Government. The obstacles faced by the Palembang City Government public relations are the delay in public relations receiving and disseminating correct information about government activities and policies to the public so that there are media that spread wrong news about the government. If this wrong news is not immediately corrected by the public relations, it will have an impact on the decline in the image of the Palembang City Government. To achieve the Palembang City Government's Public Relations goal of shaping the government's image, hard work, high discipline, and professional expertise in Public Relations are required.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Festival Komunikasi 2025 terhadap peningkatan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mengimplementasikan output pembelajaran mata kuliah Perencanaan Komunikasi di Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Festival ini berfungsi sebagai media akademik aplikatif yang mendorong mahasiswa untuk mengaktualisasikan teori ke dalam bentuk karya kreatif, khususnya melalui produksi video klip sebagai proyek akhir semester. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 52 mahasiswa angkatan 2023. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji linearitas, uji hipotesis, dan koefisien determinasi menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Festival Komunikasi memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas mahasiswa, ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 66,2%. Temuan ini menegaskan peran strategis festival akademik sebagai sarana pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa secara terukur dan sistematis.
