Abstract

This study aims to examine the origins, operational management, obstacles, and opportunities faced by Seven Green Fresh, a food and kitchen supplies business located in Palu City. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach by conducting direct interviews with the business owner. The findings reveal that this business has opportunities to grow through product innovation and digital marketing, but still faces weaknesses in financial management and unstable consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the product quality and competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Batu City, East Java, and Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through documentation studies, observations, and in-depth interviews with MSME actors, stakeholders, and relevant agencies in both regions. The results show that MSMEs in Batu City have advantages in terms of marketing access, tourism infrastructure support, and more established cross-sector collaboration. In contrast, MSMEs in Palu City demonstrate resilience in local product innovation and the potential for post-disaster tourism-based development. Both regions face similar challenges in terms of access to capital, digital technology adoption, and improving the quality of human resources. This study recommends the importance of strengthening the MSME ecosystem through improving product quality, expanding digital market access, and strategic collaboration between the government, business actors, and academics to increase MSME competitiveness at the national and global levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas Program Pembangunan pada Probebaya di Kelurahan Loa Bakung menggunakan teori efektivitas Richard M. Steers. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Probebaya memiliki struktur organisasi yang jelas dan terstruktur dari tingkat kota hingga RT. Karakteristik lingkungan menunjukkan adanya variasi kebutuhan yang signifikan antar RT, terutama dalam hal infrastruktur dasar. Dari sisi karakteristik pekerja, program ini telah memiliki standar kualifikasi dan sistem pelatihan yang berjenjang. Kebijakan dan praktik manajemen menunjukkan adanya mekanisme perencanaan dan pengambilan keputusan yang terstruktur. Meskipun program ini telah menunjukkan efektivitas dalam mencapai tujuannya, masih terdapat tantangan dalam hal pemerataan pembangunan dan penyesuaian program dengan kebutuhan spesifik masing-masing RT. Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of street vendor (PKL) regulation carried out by the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) in Palu City, a topic considered urgent due to the escalating growth of informal economic activity and its impact on public order, spatial arrangement, and community welfare. The issue is important because ineffective regulation may lead to recurring conflicts, unorganized public spaces, and limited protection for vendors who depend on street trading for their livelihoods. Using Campbell J.P.’s organizational effectiveness theory, consisting of program success, target achievement, satisfaction with the program, input–output balance, and overall goal attainment, this research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with Satpol PP officers, the Department of Trade and Industry, PKL organizations, affected vendors, and the surrounding community, as well as documentation from relevant sources. The findings reveal that regulatory efforts remain suboptimal due to incidental enforcement, inaccurate vendor data, and a gap between regulatory targets and the continuous spread of street vendors. Many vendors express dissatisfaction because guidance and viable solutions are perceived as insufficient. Limitations in personnel, operational facilities, and budget further hinder regulatory performance, while the absence of adequate relocation areas prevents the achievement of broader public-order and welfare objectives. In conclusion, improving data accuracy, strengthening inter-agency coordination, enhancing facilities, and providing alternative business spaces are essential for increasing regulatory effectiveness. These improvements must also be accompanied by education, socialization, and empowerment to ensure that regulatory policies are better understood, accepted, and sustainably implemented.

Abstract

Sate Taichan merupakan salah satu UMKM kuliner yang semakin diminati oleh konsumen muda yang menyukai makanan pedas dan praktis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model bisnis warung Sate Taichan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendukung keberlanjutan dan perkembangan usahanya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi langsung, wawancara ringan dengan pemilik dan pelanggan, serta pemantauan kegiatan operasional harian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai utama usaha ini terletak pada cita rasa yang khas, harga yang terjangkau, dan pelayanan yang cepat. Pelanggan utamanya adalah pelajar, mahasiswa, dan pekerja muda yang membutuhkan makanan yang mudah diakses dan cepat disajikan. Media sosial berperan penting dalam memperluas jangkauan pemasaran, sementara sumber daya utama meliputi bahan baku segar, keterampilan memasak, dan lokasi strategis. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa model bisnis Sate Taichan memiliki potensi besar untuk terus berkembang melalui inovasi, menjaga kualitas, dan strategi pemasaran digital yang efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perjalanan usaha Nadya Allbeautycare dalam melakukan diversifikasi ke sektor toserba serta merumuskan strategi pengembangan yang berkelanjutan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan Nadya Allbeautycare didorong oleh perubahan perilaku konsumen, meningkatnya permintaan produk kebutuhan sehari-hari, serta upaya pemilik untuk memperluas sumber pendapatan, sementara peralihan dari toko kecantikan ke toserba menghadapi beberapa tantangan seperti persaingan harga, manajemen persediaan, dan kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan. Analisis SWOT mengidentifikasi kekuatan berupa basis pelanggan yang loyal dan lokasi strategis, serta peluang dari pertumbuhan pasar ritel lokal, dengan strategi pengembangan yang direkomendasikan meliputi optimalisasi manajemen stok, peningkatan pemasaran digital, perluasan kategori produk, serta penguatan hubungan dengan pemasok. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pelaku UMKM yang ingin mengembangkan usahanya melalui diversifikasi ke sektor ritel modern.

Abstract

. Batu is a city located in the province of East Java, Indonesia. It is well-known among many people for its cool climate and natural beauty, making it a popular tourist destination. The tourism sector encourages every business actor to develop marketing strategies that not only focus on financial gains but also consider environmental and social aspects. Souvenir products from Batu contribute significantly to the value of the tourism chain with their crucial role in strengthening destination identity, enhancing visitor experience, and supporting the local economy. This study aims to analyze the marketing and branding strategies implemented by souvenir businesses in the tourist city of Batu in order to respond to sustainable tourism developments. Batu City has very high potential in the micro, small, and medium enterprise sector, especially in specialty food products. However, with increasing competition, businesses are required to innovate in their marketing methods and strengthen their brand identity. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, involving literature review and analysis of phenomena in the field. The results of this study indicate that the use of digital marketing strategies, product innovation, environmentally friendly packaging, and brand narrative creation are important factors for competing in the era of sustainable tourism.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a creative and innovative ability, keen to see opportunities and always open to every input and positive change that can lead to continued business growth. Entrepreneurship is also a dynamic process to create added value for goods and services and prosperity. Tourism is one of the potential sectors that can be developed by regions to build an area with the help of the government, community, and private sector. The type of this research is field research which is a method to find specifically and realities related to what is happening in the midst of a community. This field research generally aims to solve practical problems in everyday life. The results of this study indicate that Santerra de Laponte Tourism is located in a strategic location that is easily accessible to tourists from various regions. The existence of this tourist area is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy through increased tourist visits, job creation, and increased income for the surrounding community. Abstract

This study examines the development of a small business, Lapak Kece Palu, which started as an online shop and grew through social media optimization. The research aims to understand the motivation behind the business, the operational management, and the challenges faced by the owner. This qualitative descriptive study uses interview data to explore business background, management strategies, and obstacles related to capital and market expansion. Findings indicate that social media—particularly Instagram—plays a significant role in enhancing market reach through content creation, advertisements, and giveaway strategies. Challenges mainly relate to limited capital, which restricts product variety and inventory expansion. The study highlights the importance of digital marketing for sustaining micro- enterprise growth.

Abstract

The development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in tourism areas plays a vital role in improving local economic growth, particularly through the production of regional souvenirs. This study aims to analyze how product development contributes to increasing MSME income in Batu City, Malang. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving souvenir MSME actors around Batu City Square. The findings show that product innovation—such as improving raw material quality, adding product variations, and enhancing packaging design—significantly increases consumer interest and purchasing power. Attractive and symbolic packaging also allows MSMEs to increase selling prices while maintaining demand. Additionally, expanded marketing networks strengthen sales performance. Overall, product development is proven to be a key strategy for increasing MSME income and supporting sustainable tourism-based creative economic growth in Batu City.
