Abstract

PurposeThis study aimed to map and analyze the global scholarly landscape and thematic evolution within research integrating zakat with sustainability concepts and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Design/Methodology/Approach This research employed a bibliometric approach by analyzing 50 selected articles from the Scopus database spanning the period 2015-2025. Data were analyzed using VOSviewer software to perform co-authorship network mapping and keyword co-occurrence analysis. The PRISMA flow diagram was applied in the data selection process to ensure sample relevance and accuracy. FindingsThe results revealed a significant increase in publication volume since 2021, with contributions dominated by Malaysia and Indonesia. Thematic mapping identified three main clusters: (1) Islamic economics, zakat, and poverty; (2) the integration of zakat with SDGs and corporate sustainability; and (3) digitalization and the response to COVID-19. The study also identified limited international collaboration and a shift in research focus from conceptual approaches towards practical applications, particularly in digital accounting and corporate sustainability. Research limitations/implicationsThe primary limitation of this study lies in the use of the Scopus database as a single data source. Implications for future research include the need to expand data coverage to other databases, employ qualitative approaches to explore collaboration dynamics, and develop metrics to quantitatively measure the impact of zakat on SDG indicators. Practical implicationsThe findings recommend that zakat managers adopt digital technologies and strengthen governance to enhance program accountability and impact. For regulators, the results highlight the need for policy frameworks that support the integration of zakat into national development strategies and inter-institutional collaboration. Social implicationsThis study underscores the potential contribution of strategically managed zakat in supporting the achievement of the SDGs, particularly poverty alleviation and economic empowerment, which could ultimately enhance community welfare and social justice. Originality/valueTo the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first bibliometric study to comprehensively map and analyze the evolution of the integration of zakat, sustainability, and the SDGs, thereby providing a foundational framework and a directed research agenda for the future development of this field.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing Sufi values within the Tapak Suci pencak silat tradition as a medium for cultural da’wah in the community of Palembang City, South Sumatra. In Muslim communities, the pencak silat tradition functions not only as a self-defense activity but also as a space for transmitting Islamic spiritual and ethical values in shaping religious character. This study employs a qualitative approach with an ethnographic research design. The research was conducted at several Tapak Suci training centers in Palembang. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with instructors, silat school members, and community leaders, as well as documentary analysis. Data analysis employed an interactive analysis model encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results indicate that the internalization of Sufi values within the Tapak Suci tradition occurs through spiritual training practices such as reciting prayers before and after training, zikr, instilling etiquette, training discipline, and the exemplary role of instructors as moral and spiritual figures. These practices form a process of cultural da’wah that unfolds persuasively and contextually through cultural activities deeply rooted in community life. In addition to serving as a medium for physical training, this tradition also contributes to the formation of religious character, social solidarity, and spiritual awareness among its members. The novelty of this study lies in the integrative analysis of Sufi values and pencak silat practices as a medium for cultural da’wah, affirming local martial arts traditions as an effective culture-based da’wah model in strengthening spirituality and Islamic identity within the community.

Abstract

In order to coat the layer of the Cu for an anode-free lithium battery (AFLB) and examine AFLB performance, PVDF nanofiber with electrospinning is used. The fabrication time and molecular weight of the nanofiber can be modified. In comparison to conventional models, the AFLB is one of the new model options that provides great energy density at the same battery size. The disadvantages of this new model battery include its limited electrochemical performance and the fact that it is still in its initial stages of manufacturing. Low Coulombic efficiency and uncontrolled dendritic growth are challenges in the growth of AFLB. For the fabrication of nanofiber membranes were synthesized with different types of PVDF Mw 1.300.000 and 534.000, PVDF Nanofibers were made using electrospinning with time variations of 5 hours, 7 hours, and 9 hours, and their thermal, mechanical, and porosity properties were examined. The PVDF Mw 1.300.000 sample had the greatest porosity percentage value which is 47.031% during a 9-hour time. The PVDF Mw 534.000 sample had the highest tensile strength results, with a variation of 2.33 MPa during a 9-hour time. The PVDF Mw 1.300.000 sample had the highest percentage elongation results, 39.7%. The average nanofiber size varies with processing time, with the PVDF Mw 1.300.000 sample having the smallest size at 167.9 nm.
