Abstract

Literary works exist as a reflection of real life, drawing inspiration from the social environment of society. One of the results of literary works born from imagination and creativity is film. In this study, the researcher used the film Ballerina as their research object. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of a psychopath in the character from the film. This research uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach and descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection techniques in this study are listening, taking notes, and marking. As for data analysis, the researcher used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. It was therefore found that almost all the characters in the film Ballerina have psychopathic traits within them. This can be seen from the types 5 psychopathic characters found in the discussion of this study, including manipulative, sadistic behavior, lack of compassion, lack of guilt, and intelligence.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia due to impaired insulin secretion or insulin resistance. Potential alternative to DM management is vitamin D supplementation, which is known to play a role in glucose homeostasis by enhancing insulin sensitivity and protecting pancreatic beta cells. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of vitamin D3 administration on blood glucose levels in Wistar rats induced diabetes mellitus using alloxan. Alloxan causes diabetes by damaging pancreatic β-cells in the islets of Langerhans. This substance enters the cells via the glucose transporter (GLUT2), producing free radicals (ROS), promote oxidative stress and β-cell necrosis, resulting in decreased insulin secretion and increased blood glucose levels. This study uses an experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group. The results showed a significant difference in blood glucose levels between groups (p=0.002) with Kruskal-Wallis Test. The treatment groups (P1 and P2) demonstrated a reduction in blood glucose levels compared to the positive control, with a greater decrease observed in group with the high dose of Vitamin D3, although the difference of glucose level between P1 and P2 was not statistically significant. These findings suggest that vitamin D3 administration plays a beneficial role in lowering blood glucose levels in alloxan-induced diabetic Wistar rats. It may help improve glucose regulation by enhancing insulin sensitivity or protecting pancreatic β-cells from oxidative damage. This paper describes our experimental approach, from the methodology through to the results and discussion, to explore the impact of Vitamin D3 on diabetic Wistar rats.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the innovation of learning models implemented in the flagship programs of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Perguruan Mu’allimat Cukir Jombang. The flagship programs examined include bilingual classes, tahfidz classes, and religious classes designed to enhance the quality of the learning process and students’ learning experiences. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with the principal, vice principals, teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The findings reveal that learning model innovations in the flagship programs are implemented through the development of contextual learning, additional instructional time, collaboration with external institutions, differentiated learning based on students’ abilities, and the utilization of supportive learning facilities and media. These innovations contribute to increased student engagement, strengthened academic and religious competencies, and the creation of a more effective and meaningful learning environment. This study highlights that learning model innovation in madrasah flagship programs plays a strategic role in improving the quality of students’ learning processes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a needs-based clinical academic supervision model for Islamic Religious Education teachers at the secondary school level. The research approach used was qualitative, with data collected through interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The results indicate that teachers' primary needs include active learning, classroom management, authentic assessment, and dialogic feedback. The developed model consists of three main components: needs analysis, collaborative supervision, and structured reflection. Expert validation scores indicated high feasibility of this model, with relevance (4.55), consistency (4.45), practicality (4.35), and potential effectiveness (4.45) all rated high. This study presents a framework for differentiated and dialogic supervision that integrates teacher needs analysis into clinical supervision and recommends its implementation to strengthen teachers' ongoing professional development and improve teaching quality. Implementation of this model is expected to increase supervision effectiveness, strengthen teachers' professional competencies, encourage innovative learning practices, and provide a policy basis for developing teacher training programs. Furthermore, this model can serve as a reference for further research evaluating the impact of needs-based supervision in various educational contexts.
