Abstract

The Role of Student Team Heroic Leadership Strategy: Mathematical Communication of Middle-School Students. Objectives: In this article, we focus on how to improve students’ mathematical communication in building effective group discussions using the student team's heroic leadership strategy. Methods: This type of research is Classroom Action Research, which was held in 2 cycles. The research subjects were 16 seventh-grade students (six boys and ten girls). Findings: The findings indicated that by implementing the Student Team Heroic Leadership learning strategy, students’ mathematical communication improved significantly. This finding is confirmed by the increase in the average score on students’ communication tests from 76% in cycle I to 96% in cycle II. The completeness criteria of the students’ mathematical communication exam results also progressed from the first to the second cycle. Other data indicate that students concealed information they did not comprehend during the learning process, making it harder for the teacher to assess their comprehension of the mathematical concepts provided. Conclusion: The study’s findings indicate that after using the Student Team Heroic Leadership learning strategy, students’ mathematics communication skills improved dramatically. As suggested, additional research should be able to examine ways to boost students’ self-confidence, particularly while displaying confusion when doing mathematical tasks provided by the teacher.

Abstract

Abstract

Anemia among adolescent girls is a critical health issue that requires serious attention, as it can trigger a chain of nutritional problems in future generations. Providing iron supplementation tablets to adolescent girls is expected to reduce the incidence of anemia in this population group. This study aimed to assess the knowledge level of adolescent girls before and after receiving nutrition education on the importance of iron supplementation. A quasi-experimental study design was used, specifically a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Participants' knowledge was initially pre-tested using a validated questionnaire adapted from previous studies. The questionnaire had been reviewed and validated by experts in the field of nutrition education to ensure its reliability in measuring knowledge about iron supplementation. Nutrition education was delivered through interpersonal communication for approximately 40–50 minutes. Following the intervention, participants' knowledge was reassessed through a post-test. The study sample consisted of 13 adolescent girls enrolled at Muhammadiyah Junior High School, Maros Regency. Data was collected through interviews, and knowledge assessment was performed using the same validated questionnaire. The results showed a p-value of 0.003 (<0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement in the knowledge of adolescent girls after receiving the nutrition education intervention. The interpersonal communication approach likely contributed to this improvement by enabling active interaction, immediate feedback, and better engagement with the participants, all of which are essential factors in enhancing information retention.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, halal products have evolved beyond mere compliance with Islamic law to become global symbols of quality, ethics, and sustainability. The rapid growth of the halal market, particularly in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, offers strategic opportunities for companies to leverage halal as a source of sustainable competitive advantage. However, the main challenges in the halal industry lie not only in certification but also in the organizational capacity to manage human resources (HR) and foster leadership that integrates sustainability values. This Study explores how HR and green transformational leadership contribute to competitive advantage in Indonesia’s halal industry through a qualitative approach using multiple case studies of three certified halal companies. The findings reveal that strengthening halal- and ethics-based HR competencies, along with visionary, participatory, and environmentally conscious leadership, are critical in driving innovation and operational efficiency aligned with maqasid syariah principles. Theoretically, this study expands the integration of the resource-based view (RBV) and natural resource-based view (NRBV) within the halal management context. Practical implications highlight the need for reformulating HR policies and leadership development programs that embed halal principles and sustainability. This research addresses conceptual and practical gaps by offering a strategic and holistic perspective on halal product management in achieving long-term competitiveness.

Abstract

Green therapy, commonly known as nature therapy, is a method of stimulating children with special needs using natural media. Sekolah Alam Draul Istiqamah (SADIQ), one of natural school, has the potential to be developed as a green therapy center for Eastern Indonesia: (1) it has implemented the green therapy concept; (2) has sufficient open space; (3) has sports facilities that have potential for therapy; (4) not far from Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport which can be reached in approximately 10 minutes; (5) have a good safety guarantee for the green therapy program. This potential has not been used properly for the development of green therapy centers due to limitations, including: (1) limited knowledge and skills of human resources in terms of developing green therapy centers; (2) the need to prepare a good concept to become a green therapy center, starting from the type of service program, natural therapy activities in each service, therapy guides, and the stimulation media needed; (3) There is no media to introduce SADIQ as a green therapy center for the community. The solutions offered for SADIQ to be developed as a Green therapy center include: (1) Green therapy education for SADIQ human resources in the form of training, practice and workshops; (2) provision of standard facilities to support the perfection of the types of stimulation services to be provided; (3) preparing a green therapy service program starting from the name of the program to the stimulation activities that must be carried out; (4) preparation of green therapy service program guidelines; (5) outreach and offering to the public and educational practitioners; (6) assisting the implementation of service programs at the green therapy center. This series of activities proved effective in increasing the understanding and practice of green therapy among SADIQ human resources, was able to introduce SADIQ as a green therapy center in Eastern Indonesia, and brought SADIQ recognition from stakeholders, especially the Education Department. SADIQ is currently an alternative solution in providing green therapy, alternative solution of special need children stimulation through natural media.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the blasphemy of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah, and to find out examples of the application of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah. This research includes library research using a normative approach method. The data were analyzed using deductive and descriptive qualitative methods. The research results found are as follows: A number of ulama from the Mālikiyah, Syāfi'iyah, and Hanābilah schools of thought allow the use of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah with the requirement that the pillars and conditions are met. Meanwhile, the Hanafiyah school of thought rejects the use of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah because rukhsah is a legal provision whose arguments are clear from both the Al-Qur'an and the Sunnah, so kias does not apply in this case. The two actualizations of the application of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah include examples: istinja using a figurative tissue on a stone, wiping the figurative imamah over wiping shoes, wiping the hijab figuratively over wiping the imamah, wiping figurative socks over wiping shoes, combining two prayers for those who stay because they are afraid allusion to the plural of prayers at 'Arafah and Muzdalifah, and plural prayers because of desire or a figurative work for the plural of prayers at Árafah and Muzdalifah. After examining the arguments from the jumhur ulama and the Hanafiyah school of thought, the opinion of the jumhur ulama which allows the use of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah is stronger because the opinion of the Hanafiyah school of thought is weak and even some of their followers also refute the opinion which does not allow the use of kias in rukhsah syar'iyyah.
