Abstract

This research employs a hybrid approach, integrating advanced linear regression and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), to forecast student success rates in exams within the dynamic educational landscape. Utilizing Kaggle-sourced data, the study crafts a model amalgamating advanced linear regression and XGBoost, subsequently assessing its performance against the primary dataset. The findings showcase the model's efficacy, yielding an accuracy of 0.680 on the fifth test and underscoring its adeptness in predicting students' exam success. The discussion underscores XGBoost's prowess in managing data intricacies and non-linear features, complemented by advanced linear regression offering valuable coefficient interpretations for linear relationships. This research innovatively contributes by harmonizing two distinct methods to create a predictive model for students' exam success. The conclusion emphasizes the merits of an ensemble approach in refining prediction accuracy, recognizing, however, the study's limitations in terms of dataset constraints and external factors. In essence, this study enhances comprehension of predicting student success, offering educators insights to identify and support potentially struggling students.

Abstract

Gamification can make learning more fun and engaging for students. Software engineering can utilize gamification to help students learn and improve their skills from the complexity of software engineering. This study used quantitative research to examines perceived ease of use, student satisfaction, and perceived usefulness to measure gamification quality, which can have an impact on software engineering intention, namely intention, loyalty, and participation in following and understanding software engineering materials. The data was collected based on an online questionnaire survey, 90 data were collected and then measured and analyzed using SmartPLS 3. The results showed that perceived ease of use, student satisfaction, and perceived usefulness have a significant influence on gamification quality, which also leads to a positive impact on software engineering intention. This research guides teachers and educational institutions that gamification is very successful as a learning medium to simplify complex information to be more interactive.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of Wordwall learning media on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education students in grade IV of SD Negeri 004 Samarinda Ulu. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of Pancasila Education where the learning outcomes of class IV A students are below the Learning Objective Skill Criteria (KKTP) of 70, students who score below KKTP reach 67%. and the lack of use of interactive and fun learning media in the classroom. The research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year. This type of research is quantitative with a Pre-Experimental approach using a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 004 Samarinda Ulu, Samarinda City. The population in this study is all grade IV students, and the research sample was taken by purposive sampling, namely 28 students in grades IV-A. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test to measure learning outcomes before and after treatment. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores where the average pretest score was 42.81 and the average posttest score was 67.33. The hypothesis test using a paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. This indicates that Wordwall media has succeeded in improving students' understanding of the concept of angles better than conventional learning methods. This research is expected to contribute to the development of learning media that is more effective and relevant to the needs of students

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with very high biodiversity and is known as Mega Biodiversity. In Indonesia found about 450 species of Anura representing about 11% of all species in the world, and 28 species ofwhich 28 live in West Java.  Anura animals have a pattern of calling behavior that is essential for mating: males produce call-up behavior that attracts females and, in some species, represents the extent of their territory. Research on frogs and toads is considered necessary considering the absence of more detailed data on the bioacoustics of these frogs, especially in the West Java area, so that variations and patterns of anura sounds are known in the Telaga Warna Nature Reserve and Nature Park (CA-TWA) area and can make scientific contributions in information on variations and sound patterns owned by anura animals in terms of anura conservation in Indonesia.  This research was conducted from month March-December 2018, located in Telaga Warna Nature Reserve and Nature Park, Bogor, West Java.  Call the recording every 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each night during the sampling period.  The number of anura species in the villa and swamp areas is more abundant than the lake area, and the presence of Pearl maroon frogs (nyctixalus margaritifer) found in the villa and lake areas, while the Bufo melanotictus type that likes to live in the lake area. It can be seen that the villa and swamp areas are still maintained vegetation by looking at the medium density of the canopy. Steeper slope conditions help the flow of nutrients from the soil due to the erosion process and settle in flat to gentle areas. The density of the canopy in the area helps maintain the surface temperature of the land with a stable land surface temperature ranging from 15 – 21 0C.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is expected to help the S1 Biology Education Study Program FKIP-UT in improving academic and administrative services for users. In detail, the objectives of this study are: (1) The effectiveness of the services that have been provided by the Biology Education S1 Study Program FKIP-UT to service users; (2) Student services of the S1 Biology Education Study Program FKIP-UT; (3) Service user satisfaction of the S1 Biology Education Study Program FKIP-UT; (4) Characteristics of the learning process of the S1 Biology Education Study Program FKIP –UT; (5)  Learning experience of service users of  the S1 Biology Education Study Program FKIP-UT. The research used quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative methods are carried out by surveying all graduates/ students using questionnaires [letters, forms]. While the qualitative method was carried out for limited respondents who were randomly selected proportionally through [online] interviews. The results of this study include data analysis of the effectiveness of services that have been provided by the Biology Education S1 Study Program FKIP-UT to service users, as many as 62.4% are satisfied with the Subject Material Books used, 48.5% are online tutorials, 41.3% Webinars and 56.2% are final exams. As many as 62% of respondents already know the student services of the S1 Biology Education Study Program FKIP-UT regarding reasoning, interests and talents, 60% regarding career guidance and 45.8% regarding welfare and easy access.  Satisfaction with the learning experience in the S1 Biology Education Study Program, respondents were satisfied and very satisfied in discussions, tutorial assignments, practices and practicums. With respondents who are dissatisfied with academic and administrative services, it is necessary to improve services and socialization for those who have difficulty accessing services.

Abstract

Disasters including earthquakes can traumatize people, especially children. One of the impacts is impaired concentration, making it difficult for children to learn or study. Hopefully, the right learning model can help students continue to participate in learning and heal the trauma. To find out this learning model, it is necessary to carry out a process of characterizing students in post-disaster areas. Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students in post-disaster areas, it is known that some students are still experiencing trauma, as indicated by 51.80% of students still having difficulty concentrating on studying. It is also known that the learning style of most students is auditory because 91.10% of students learn happier when they hear the teacher telling stories. Furthermore, student’s learning styles are visual as shown by 83.90% of students enjoying reading, 80.4% of students enjoying seeing pictures, and 57.10% enjoying seeing animations. Judging from the tendency for collaboration, students prefer to study in groups. Based on these characteristics, students enjoy learning with active, interactive, and fun activities, so the AICEF learning model can be an alternative that can be used as a learning model for elementary school students in post-earthquake areas

Abstract

Platform penyedia layanan pelatihan dan materi penulisan karya ilmiah secara online untuk memotivasi civitas akademik untuk melakukan penelitian. Dengan memanfaatkan metode pengembangan sistem yaitu waterfall dalam menganalisis agar platform yang dikembangkan berjalan sesuai dengan apa yang direncanakan. Pada saat ini sangat jarang penyedia layanan dalam pelatihan penulisan yang dilakukan secara online. Biasanya dilakukan conference yang mengharuskan seseorang hadir dalam ruangan dan mendengarkan pembicara berjam-jam. Maka pelatihan secara online dianggap sangat efektif untuk mendorong civitas akademik dalam membuat karya ilmiah karena dapat dilakukan dimanapun dan kapanpun. Dengan diimplementasikannya platform ini akan ada 2 manfaat yaitu (1) Termotivasinya civitas akademik untuk melakukan penelitian, karena ada banyak kemudahan untuk berlatih dalam penulisan yang dapat dilakukan dimanapun dan kapanpun. (2) Jumlah penelitian di Indonesia akan meningkat dalam rangka mendukung program Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian ini akan diimplementasikan pada sebuah website yang mampu diakses secara online, yang berisi pelatihan penulisan secara online berupa video pembelajaran dengan beberapa coach yang profesional. Disediakan pula materi pembelajaran bagaimana cara menulis sebuah karya ilmiah sesuai dengan standar yang benar.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the research is to improve learning outcomes using the application of learning models Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI) assistedGoogle Art and Culture SBdP lesson material on various regional fine arts for class V SD Negeri 002 Loa Kulu for the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) was carried out over two cycles consisting of four meetings. The research procedure consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 28 class V students and the research objects were the results of SBdP learning about various regional fine arts materials using the SAVI learning model. Data collection techniques used were observation, tests and documentation. Research data analysis techniques use percentages of teacher and student activity, completeness of learning outcomes, averages, final grades and increases in student learning outcomes. The results of the research showed that the average SBdP score for students in the pre-cycle was 52.5 with a percentage of students completing at 32.14% with a total of 9 students completing, then in the first cycle the average score increased to 66.96 with an increase in the percentage of learning outcomes. amounted to 27.54% and the percentage of students who completed was 57.14% with 16 students completing. In cycle II the average score increased to 78.93 with a percentage increase from the pre-cycle score of 50.34% and the percentage of students who completed was 82.14% with a total of 23 students completing. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of the SAVI assisted learning model is implementedGoogle Art and Culture can improve SBdP learning outcomes for various regional fine arts materials for class V SD Negeri 002 Loa Kulu for the 2022/2023 academic year Keyword: Learning model Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI), Media Google Art and Culture. SBdP Learning OutcomesAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar menggunakan penerapan model pembelajaran Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI) berbantuan Google Art dan Culture pelajaran SBdP materi ragam seni rupa daerah kelas V SD Negeri 002 Loa Kulu tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilakukan selama dua siklus terdiri dari empat kali pertemuan. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V berjumlah 28 dan objek penelitian adalah hasil belajar SBdP materi ragam seni rupa daerah menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan persentase aktivitas guru dan siswa, ketuntasan hasil belajar, rata-rata, nilai akhir dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata SBdP siswa pada pra siklus sebesar 52,5 dengan persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 32,14% dengan jumlah 9 siswa tuntas, kemudian pada siklus I nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 66,96 dengan persentase peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 27,54% dan persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 57,14% dengan jumlah 16 siswa tuntas. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 78,93 dengan persentase peningkatan dari nilai pra siklus sebesar 50,34% dan persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 82,14% dengan jumlah 23 siswa tuntas. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang pengaruh pengetahuan menu dan pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletterhadap kepuasan tamu pada saat Event Wedding di Alila Solo Java. Peneliti akan membahas 3 (tiga) pokok permasalahan yaitu apakah pengetahuan menu berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan tamu pada saat Event Wedding di Alila Solo Java, apakah pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletberpengaruh terhadap kepuasan tamu pada saat Event Wedding di Alila Solo Java, dan apakah pengetahuan menu dan pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletsecara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan tamu pada saat Event Wedding di Alila Solo Java. Data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder yang diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 35 responden, secara spesifik teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk menganalisa penelitian ini adalah menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui metode kuesioner, dari kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada responden dianalisis menggunakan model analisis Regresi Linier berganda dan Uji Hipotesis dengan Uji Parsial (t) dan Uji Simultan (F). Hasil analisis data ditunjukan uji t, menunjukan bahwa pengetahuan menu berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan tamu sebesar 0,000, pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletberpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan tamu sebesar0,036, selain itu dari uji F dikolom sig yang menunjukan 0,000 bahwa nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari nilai signifikan standar (0,05), bahwa pengetahuan menu dan pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletberpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan tamu. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh peneliti adalahpengetahuan menu dan pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletberpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan tamu, secara bersama-sama pengetahuan menu dan pelayanan Waitress di Banquet Outletberpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan tamu pada saat Event Wedding di Alila Solo Java.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi menu dan menu ala carte yang disajikan untuk menunjang kepuasan tamu yang datang berkunjung ke Nava Hotel Tawangmangu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Nava Hotel Tawangmangu dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer yaitu observasi dan wawancara, serta menggunakan data sekunder yaitu dokumentasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Metode wawancara dilakukan secara langsung kepada tamu yang berkunjung ke hotel. Peneliti juga menggunakan validitas data dengan mengambil konsep triangulasi sumber data, karena dapat mencari kebenaran informasi melalui berbagai metode dan sumber penelitian data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya variasi menu ala carte yang disajikan dapat menunjang kepuasan tamu yang datang berkunjung ke hotel. Aspek yang dapat menunjang kepuasan tamu yang datang berkunjung terutama dilihat dari menu ala carte seperti variasi menu, tampilan menu, kebersihan makanan, tekstur makanan, kualitas makanan, serta cita rasa makanan. Dalam hal ini staf kitchen selalu memperhatikan aspek-aspek tersebut, untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal agar tamu merasa puas dan berkunjung kembali ke hotel.
