Abstract

As an agent of civilization and social change, Islamic education in an atmosphere of modernization and globalization demanded to play a role in a dynamic and proactive. Its presence is expected to contribute meaningful and positive change for the improvement and advancement of the Muslim civilization, both on theoretical and practical intellectual terrain. Islamic education is not merely a process of transformation of moral values to shield themselves from negative access globalization and modernization. But the most urgent is how the moral values that have been inculcated through Islamic education is able to take an active role as a generator that has a liberatory power of social pressure and the crush of cultural backwardness, ignorance, economic and poverty in the midst of rapid social mobility. Therefore we need a constructive effort by building monokhotomik Islamic education. This epistemological approach provides an understanding and an integral and comprehensive skills. Someone who knows something of the process must know the outcome. Conversely, many who know the results but do not know the process. Unlike students who are given only bread and then she enjoyed it, with students who are invited to make bread, then enjoy it. Of course, knowledge of learners who know the process of making bread to enjoy it more complete, robust, and memorable.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) is the most autonomous institution that can not be on the intervention of any parties. In Islamic Boarding Schools, Kiai has authority in characterizing many activities of pesantren community. Variations of education is also due to differences in conditions sosi-cultural society that surrounds it. Development of the pesantren as an institution engaged in education and socio-religious, must be encouraged. Development of Pesantren must be continued cause of the change of world drastic and dynamic with rapid development, Of course, either directly or indirectly may affect to pesantren. In order for schools to continue to survive, then a few steps can be taken with the strategic development kept the same boarding school as an institution indegious Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

College has an important role in nation building. Therefore, university governance systems need to get serious attention and appropriate management touches. One of the modern management concepts that can be used is balanced scorecard, which is expected to improve the quality of the institution. This research uses qualitative approach of case study type with research setting at STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur. The results showed that; improvement of education quality in STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur is done through; 1) visionary leadership, 2) internal and external environmental analysis done with SWOT analysis, 3) to make quality as "Spirit" in every organizational activity by implementing quality-based, oriented management; a) Costumer Satisfaction, b) continous improvement, c) full involvement of the academic community, d) continous improvement. In order to improve the quality of education with Balanced Scorecard approach, STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur focuses on four perspectives, namely; financial perspective, costumer perspectives, internal perspectives and development perspectives of development and growth are very effective in improving the quality of education. From several Balanced Scorecard perspectives applied in STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur, the most dominant internal perspective on the effectiveness of quality improvement of education, followed by learning and growth perspective, costumer and finansial.

Abstract

The development of gene technology has created some problems insofar as ethical questions are concerned. One form of the advancement of gene technology is human cloning which leads to harsh polemic between the proponents and the opponents. Both parties claim that their arguments are sound because they have carefully considered many aspects. How Islam views this human cloning issue will be discussed by this article. It argues that Islam’s position on this issue will be contingent upon how far moral is taken into account in determining the legal status of human cloning.

Abstract

The presence of Islamic education i.e. madrasah has significantly contributed to the live of public citizen in Indonesia. Therefore, the existence of madrasah education develops in accordance with the needs and demands of society today as well as it be able to adjust the existence of the industrial revolution 4.0. The development madrasah education must be done by increasing the quality of human resources, redesigning curriculum development and managing the quality of learning. In this context, as an effort to achieve the above educational goals, new breakthroughs in the field of learning are needed i.e. continuous quality improvement by carrying out various approaches, especially in the field of learning management innovation in order to drive the Islamic education as a central for excellence where the students are able to compete in the midst of the 4.0 industrial revolution era. The existence of learning management essentially aims to build and develop the full potential of learners, and these efforts can only be made if all learning activities are programmed in accordance with the needs of students, parents, and society expectations. Therefore, at the practical level, learning activities are understood to be able to run effectively and efficiently if all of the above activities start from the managerial process, through the learning planning process; learning management; management of students management of quality human resources or professionalism of teachers; development of learning activities and the process of evaluating good learning.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini memotret dan mengeksplor pemaknaan konsep sekolah bermutu, pengembangan budaya partisipasi, dan budaya sekolah, serta peran-peran yang dilakukan aktor dalam melakukan rekayasa sosial sekolah ke arah tercapainya sekolah bermutu di lembaga konfesional MIN Tegalasri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Standar pengukuran keabsahan datanya adalah; derajat kepercayaan, keteralihan, kebergantungan dan kepastian. Ananlisis data dilakukan secara estafet mulai pengumpulan data, koleksi data, dan pemaknaan data. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dua aspek mutu yang dicapai bidang akademik dan nonakademik; tingkat partisipasi mulai dari pimpinan, staf pendidik, staf kependidikan, peserta didik, komite sekolah, dan paguyuban kelas; budaya sekolah yang dikembangkan adalah konsolidasi internal-eksternal, mensinergikan potensi internal-eksternal, mendekatkan sekolah dengan masyarakat, bekerjasama dengan berbagai pihak, restrukturisasi dan revitalisasi komite sekolah dan paguyuban kelas, dan mengembangkan budaya bersih, indah dan nyaman; kepala sekolah merupakan aktor pengembangan budaya sekolah bermutu dan partisipasi stakeholders. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mendekripsikan alasan sekolah memberi kebebasan kepada siswa; (2) mendeskripsikan alasan bahwa kebebasan siswa dapat dilaksanakan, jika budaya sekolah adalah budaya demokratis; dan (3) mendekripsikan praktik kebebasan siswa dalam budaya demokratis di sekolah. Metode penelitian: kualitatif naturalistik dengan strategi studi kasus, dan menggunakan jenis studi kasus multiple case study. Tempat penelitian, SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta dan SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, (1) Sekolah memberikan kebebasan kepada siswa karena, siswa memiliki keunggulan dan kapasitas. Siswa seharusnya dibiarkan menjadi apa yang mereka pikirkan, rasakan, hadirkan dan lakukan sehingga siswa menjadi mandiri, terinsiprasi dalam mengeksplorasikan kreativitas dan imajinasi. (2) Alasan praktik kebebasan siswa dapat dilakukan dalam budaya demokratis di sekolah karena, budaya demokratis dapat berperan sebagai tenaga penggerak dalam ruang lifelong pembelajaran demokrasi sehingga interaksi, relasi dan perilaku kebebasan siswa tetap teratur secara demokratis, dan (3) Praktik kebebasan siswa yaitu, kebebasan akademik dengan kontrol sosial dan menerapkan kegiatan belajar mandiri. Dalam belajar mandiri, siswa belajar tanpa intervensi guru, siswa secara kritis dan kreatif belajar dengan mengamati, menganalisis, dan sharing. Siswa melakukan interaksi sosial berupa toleransi, saling menghormati dan menerima ide dan kritik, serta kerjasama menciptakan relasi sharing dengan siswa lain membedakan prestasi akademik.

Abstract

Objective: Analyzing the differences between collagen thicknesses in periurethral region from transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) specimens of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) patients with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and of those with urinary retention. Material & methods: This was an observation analytic study on 30 patients who underwent TURP. Patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into 2 groups: BPH patients with LUTS and those with urinary retention. Each group consisted of 15 people. The first TURP specimen of proximal verumontanum resection were examined in anatomic pathology using mass on strichrome staining as an examination of periurethral collagen thickness. Collagen will be stained as blue. Periurethral collagen thickness was measured from the basal membrane of transitional epithelium to fibromuscle tissue. Data were then statistically analyzed using independent t-test. Results: The average patient age was 66 ± 7 years old and there was no significant difference between age and periurethral collagen thickness with p=0.175 (p>0.05). The mean prostate volume was 47.19 ± 13.2 ml and there was no significant difference between prostate volume and periurethral collagen thickness with p=0.148 (p>0.05). Average periurethral collagen thickness in BPH patients with urinary retention was 146.67 ± 39.80 micrometers and while in those with LUTS was 205.33 ± 85.6 micrometers. There were no significant differences between periurethral collagen thickness and the occurrence urinary retention with retention of urine with p=0.063 (p>0.05). Conclusion: There were no significant differences between periurethral collagen thickness patients in BPH patients with LUTS and in those with urinary retention. This suggests that periurethral collagen thickness is not associated with the occurrence of urinary retention or LUTS in BPH patients.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang peranan lembaga perbankan syariah dalam  rangka  mendukung  perekonomian  Indonesia. Besarnya porsi pembiayaan yang disalurkan ke sektor Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah  (UMKM) memberikan  bukti komitmen  bank syariah  terhadap  pemberdayaan   ekonomi   rakyat.  Penelitian ini menggunakan   pendekatan kualitatif    deskriptif.  Dalam menganalisis  data, peneliti  menggunakan  metode triangulasi, triangulasi data dengan teori dan membandingkan data diamati dengan  wawancara.  Hasil penelitian  ini menunjukkan  bahwa pembiayaan   syariah diarahkan menuju pembiayaan  dengan prinsip bagi hasil yang menekankan  pola hubungan  kemitraan antara pihak bank dan nasabah. Prinsip bagi  hasil  dapat dilakukan dalam empat akad, yaitu mudharabah,  musyarakah, muzara’ah, dan musaqah.Kata kunci: pembiayaan, bank, pemberdayaanTHE ROLE OF SHARIA BANKING IN MSMEs FINANCE. This article discusses about the role of Islamic banking institution  to support Indonesian economy. The financial portions transmitted to the micro business sector (Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs) proves   the  commitment    of  shari’ah   banking   in  economic empowerment. This study applies descriptive-qualitative approach. Data are analyzed through triangulation method, comparing data with theory, and the result of interview. Result of this study shows that syariah finance is conducted in accordance with the principle of profit sharing emphasizing on bank and customer’s partnership. Profit sharing may be conducted in four agreements: mudharabah, musyarakah, muzara’ah and musaqah.Keywords: finance, bank, empowerment
